Not interested in dating local women since my visit to Colombia

Ok, before my trip to Bogota in October I was dating a lot, sometimes 2 ladies at the same time---I actually find that works out pretty good too, but that's whole another topic/post

But since I've returned from my first trip, I have had absolutely no interest in dating local women anymore?.  I even have old flames texting me and FWB girl, and I'm still not interested.


Did this happen to anyone else?…Maybe I like my new friend down there more than I thought …or am I just spoiled from the trip? 


Anyway, it's weirding me out a bit.

If you're like most of us here, doubt you'll ever go back to dating gringas. As you'll see, even the guys on here who've failed in their first marriage to a latina, go back to look for another or to date/play...

I think it's normal, your standards have changed.

Chris Rock has a great bit where he describes how men and women "cannot go back". For women it refers to the fact that once they become accustomed to a certain level of living with the money, cars, nice house, manicures, etc that they are damaged and cannot ever be satisfied with a guy who provides less than that. For us men it is about the beauty of the woman. Once a man has the top drawer beauty of a Colombians it is hard to accept anything less. To me, not only the exotic good looks, but also the inner beauty where many Colombian women are proud to be a feminine lady and are not trying to be a man. They cherish their husband and family and will do whatever is required to spoil you and make you feel like a king. Who can go back to anything less than that after experiencing it?

AB, I think that's exactly it….I have dated attractive women here, but it's more than that. It's the way latin women treat you, or how you feel when your with them. It's how sweet and feminine they are…it's more than looks.

This diverges from the thread but the Chris Rock quote above from AB reminds me of a woman I used to work with. She was about 27 at the time and I thought she was average in the looks department but she did have a pretty nice figure. She was dating a big time actor (as in Oscar winning actor). I remember being out to lunch one day with her and some co-workers. She said the following, "Now that I am dating a rich guy. I'll never date anything less."

Never understood why a good looking, rich, famous actor wanted to date this girl. Guess he liked plain looking girls or something.  But he bought her expensive cars just for the hell of it. Think at one point he was even thinking of buying her a house or condo.

Your eyes have been opened to reality. I still stayed open to dating women in my area when that happened to me but there was no comparison and still isn't. Nothing wrong with higher standards now that you realize your options.
