Question about sex and Colombianas

A friend of mine recently got into a conversation with a British chick about circumcision.  Being a Brit, she is very against it and said that America is pretty much the only country that does this, aside from Israel and Islamic countries. She said that while in the US circumcision is the norm and women are almost grossed out seeing uncircumcised junk, it's the exact opposite in the rest of the world. I didn't say anything and let the conversation between them go on, but it had me thinking. Has anyone had an issue with this in Colombia? It's a strange conversation to bring up, but I wouldn't want to be getting hot and heavy with a latina just to have her point and say "What the hell is that?"


Btw, I have been lurking for a while and just wanted to thank everyone that contributes to this awesome forum. There is so much great info on here for nervous newbies like myself.

Well, my wife proved to be a pretty poor authority on this subject - I guess that's not a bad thing.  She *thinks* most Colombian guys don't get circumcised unless there is a medical reason.  She claims never to have had conversations with her friends about what looks better.


One thing about Colombian women and latinas in general is that they are matter-of-fact about a lot of these types of discussions.  Once you've known someone for awhile (I'm not sure how to quantify that ... not the first few emails or first date for instance), you can just ask her.


Maybe we'll get some input from BG and IV - although they are not colombianas, I'm sure they have an opinion ...

Not quite the "only" country... 60 countries are listed at 80% or more.. another 17 countries at 20-80% .. Colombia is listed at 7%, the UK at around 16%

I asked the wife and her friend in Bogota she was talking to on skype. They both said they preferred it circumsized mainly due to the percieved cleanliness (they actually said "smelled cleaner"). I don't think they had a problem with either as it required some discussion to decide what they preferred.

Like all women, what they are really interested in is how you make them feel about and during sex. However if you want to know, just ask your girl. I have found Colombianas to be very matter of fact about everything relating to sex.

With all the respect your friend sounds very closed minded and I doubt she has been all over the world and talked to all women in it about their opinion, it is true that in some countries is less common so for a woman that lives in a country like that might find herself surprised... her attitude will determine if it's a good or a bad surprise, I suggest you find yourself a woman with a good attitude and things should go well no matter what your "situation" is.


That being said if you can't picture how could you bring something like this up, you might as well not say anything and if she is curious she will ask, if she doesn't she probably could care less, if you do ask just don't make a big deal out of it or make it sound like a disease, geez!

First of all you have to think about what are you looking for. If you are looking for love, the way your "junk" looks is the last thing you or a woman should worry about. Even if you are just looking for fun, I'm with V_Man here:

In Brazil, it's like Whitey's wife *thinks* it is is Colombia: guys don't get circumcised unless there is a medical reason. (Hey, I have a brother!  )

So, my tip would be, don't even bother to ask. That might creep a girl out. If when you get hot and heavy with a latina and she says "What the hell is that?", she is probably not a good girl anyway. After all, you are much more than a "junk".

lol BG when I typed my answer I was thinking the same thing and wondering why wouldn't they ask Maria to answer since she is after all not only a woman but an actual colombiana or at least lives there if I remember correctly.


Also the thought of my little nephews crossed my mind when I wondered just how common it might be over here but thought it was weird to mention, there was an incident when the little boys were being changed into their pool clothes, one pointed out that one of my cousins had a weird "pipi" and kept teasing him about it, my aunts smiled knowingly and when mom saw my confusion she mentioned he was the only circumcised of the group.

Being American and having spent a good part of my life in military barracks I can assure you that many Americans are not circumcised. Not that I've ever counted, but, being non cut myself I was curious for a while if I was "different". I'm not.
As for Colombian women caring one way or the other....I doubt it. I'm not terribly well experienced in this particular country, but I can say from the encounters I've had they could care less what the "junk" looks like as long as it is clean, healthy and properly functional. And, BG is correct in my opinion....it ain't junk....it is a very important part of a healthy relationship between males and females.

By the 1970s the percentages started to drop and the last time I got into one of these discussions a few years ago, since practically all Filipinos get circumcised at around 9 years of age, there was a 50/50 chance of an American infant being circumcised.

I'm going to most definitely have to agree with V_Man and the ladies on this issue. Any man that knows what he's doing with a woman in bed knows that your hands, your mouth and your tongue are MUCH more important when it comes to making her happy. And by the way, when I say mouth, I'm also talking about what you're saying to her during those intimate moments. If you're doing your job, the last thing she'll be worried about is a little extra skin on the tip of your johnson, regardless of where she's from. Either way, if a woman is truly in love with you, the act of sex, no matter how long or short, rough or smooth, intense or tranquil, will usually be more than enough to satisfy her. To be honest, the three women in my lifetime that have told me they were in love with me also told me that sex was more about making me happy, even though they really enjoyed it. When this outlook on sex is mutual between a man and a woman, you have the personification of making love. I've learned it's the idea of sharing that moment, the act of becoming one and the emotions involved that mean so much more to women than physical pleasure.

Medical missionaries go out to do circumcisions because it is not unknown for a tweener boy to cut himself if the parents can't afford to get it done. A son doing so was even a subplot of an Ai-Ai, think of her as the Filipines Lucille Ball, movie a few years back.
