Andy Lee Report?

Anyone heard from Andy Lee lately? Does he still post here? I remember he met a nice morena who he was in the process of marrying, or already did marry right? I know he was a student of the game and spent a lot of time in Colombia in various cities. I was just curious to know how things were going for him and if he could post here to give any info to the new guys.

I heard from Andy in January via email. I don't think he's posted here in a while. He seemed to be doing well but I neglected to ask about the girl he was dating.

Andy Lee did post ONCE very recently to express his condolences for the passing of Dennis Levy.  Other than that he's not been a regular poster for quite some time (6 months or so).  That is a shame b/c  Andy LIVES in Colombia and he is chalk full of great information and on the ground intelligence.  He is also one hell of a storyteller (as a former journalist).

He did mention to me in a private e-mail that he stopped posting on  P.L. because he was sick of all the pissing matches between certain members. Not you AB or Benjio.

Last I heard he was engaged or about to get married. I have no idea if it's against the terms of service or not but Andy did publish an e-book (and PDF) on international marriage earlier this year available from Amazon.  It's called "Romancing Paradise: Men's Guide to International Romance"

I am also sick of those pissing matches. What annoys me most about them is that you would think the main ofenders would have something positive to add. Yet often they have completely derailed a thread and not contributed a single constructive thought to the entire thread.
These guys think it's a great laugh but ultimately that behaviour kills the forum for everyone.

I feel sorry for the moderators.

I disagree 4-square and think you are a little hysterical.   Certain individuals that were subject to being brought down to earth and/or being questioned rigorously have wound up with a changed perspective and probably better prospects overseas.  I doubt this was going to occur in a reasonable timeframe for these individuals without getting jolted.  If some sensitive old man gets all offended, then it is nice to hear his updates through the grapevine.

This was a thread about an update on Andylee and you just derailed it (didn't contribute a single constructive thought) and turned it into a rant about something else.

Yeah I'm aware of the irony. 

Hence back on topic, I really liked the photos Andy posted. He made me think that there are beautiful small towns in Colombia that are safe for a gingo to live in. He helped me to visualise that.

Yeah, that is why I was hoping he would come back on the forum to write about what he things about the Dennis Levy thing. If it has changed his plans. If he is still traveling. Where he has settled down? Does he have any additional intel regarding what really happened with Dennis? I read several very different accounts regarding the circumstances of DL's last day. Maybe the whole incident could have been avoided or that DL made himself a target in some way.  I think his input would be valuable.

Also he is one of the older members here and spent a lot of time studying the game before he took the plunge to marry. So I am just curious to how he is doing and if all the DD paid off for him.

He also admitted that for a long time he did not speak much Spanish. I assume that has changed now.
