Hi John and welcome. We've had a few guys here prefer Peru over the old standby Colombia, and never regretted their decision. Looking forward to your contribution.

Welcome, John!

I'll join Benjio with the questions!  ;D

How did you meet her? How is she like? Were you looking specifically in Peru?

I work with some girls from Peru and they are all great.

HI JQP

Welcome to the board!

I spent four months in Peru, in Mancora, Piuria, Chiclayo, Chimbote  Trujillo, Lima a bit in Cuzco and of course I saw Macchu Pichu.

I do live in Colombia but there was a lot about Peru that I liked.....

Please tell us what you think, how you met your wife and where you ve been in Peru. Do you live there now?

Dennis

I have read and heard that Latina's can be a bit sassy at times with a very short fuse.  My Latin male friends tell me that this goes double with Cuban and Colombian gals.  What is your impressions on those comments?
Do the Ladies in Peru share that same get loud trait with their Latin sisters?   LOL

Thanks for the kind welcome.
My wife is from southern Peru a little south of Pisco, the
land of vineyards and of course home of the pisco brandy
(although there is a dispute with Chile over the origins of pisco; both countries like to claim
it as their own).
We meet on the internet as most people seem to do these days.
My wife is very calm rather docile & enjoys cooking and I enjoy eating what she cooks.
Nothing quite like a good Peruvian meal.  ;)
We spend our time both in the states & in Peru.
I have been to Arequipa, Colca Valley, Cuzco, Machu Picchu,
Paracas, Pisco, Ica, Huacachina, and Lima of course but I have not yet traveled
to the northern cities.  But they're on my ever growing list of places to visit.
Nice to meet you all,
JQP

I think some americans can be VERY loud... and my mother's side of the family comes from the loudest area in Mexico... think big loud italian family if you don't know loud mexicans haha.

Cubanas and Ticas have a reputation over here (not exactly good one), so if being like them is what you call sassy... peruanas don't sound bad at all compared to them from what I hear, other then that, all latinas have a fuse :P

Well, I think there are loud people in every country
just as there are quiet ones. Nationality doesn't matter.

The only time my wife is loud is when she's singing to herself.
It's not very good & kind of off key but I don't mind.
I figure if she's singing, she's happy.
And if she's happy then I'm happy!

My apologies Vixen...I was seeking information.  And never meant to offend, if I did.  I just wanted to clarify stereotypes I had heard from my buddies from Belize.  I worked with theses gentlemen for many years and we were the best of friends.  One even named his first born after me, plus he is my Godson.

But as much as my buddy Juan is almost perfect, he kept telling me about all the bossy (sassy) ladies in his life.  And I felt like that attitude was bit to stereotypical. (he was a Latin husband talking about his Latin wife)

However, he was such a great friend and such a smart guy that I have or had to take his opinions to heart.

Yes, I have a buddy from Brooklyn (and he is Italian) that is way loud sometimes but not so much. Plus, he is never yelling at me.

I think one of my things is yelling at someone never or rarely solves a problem, but it can add fuel to the fire to make permanent divids between people.  These people should probably be communicating with each other in a rational manner.

This is so sweet! you sound very in love, your wife is a lucky lady :)

@Skynorth, your post was not offending at all, I was just typing what came to mind, my father's family is very very quiet people but I am closer to my mother's side of the family which is extremely loud, being used to it and having searched for so many years I have talked to some americans that can be a lot louder than my relatives and this is not in an argument but just by getting excited when talking.

I always joke that Sinaloenses might look like they are arguing and about to rip each other's throats but they are just saying hi for example!... they will also start a conversation with you if they spot you 1 block away and you WILL hear them :P

Ah, so sassy for you means bossy, I would agree cubanas and ticas do seem to fit better to that category than other latinas from the few I've met, a bit of an attitude but not necessarily in a mean way, what I call free spirits compared to the traditional mexicana, some men find it sexy and fun but as you can imagine after a while they just go find themselves a "good girl" to marry, well at least over here that is how it works.
