Updated Agency Masterlist + board feedback

Wondering if a senior member (or members) with tenure might be able to post a masterlist with pros & cons of each agency?

The agency Sharpei has mentioned using - ACW - claims to be #1 Rated (?!)

Should that be a red flag?
Can anyone here back that claim up?

Also they state:

"Over 90% of the girls you meet are college educated"

"Today we are the largest agency network in the World"


I would consider giving them my $ if they seem legit

Anyone vouch?

LOL!!! And how do they know that with the "largest agency network in the world?" Do they check the educational credentials of every single girl in the "network?"
 
Even if that were true, I would equate the average "college education" in Colombia (for the VERY few women that actually finish) to the equivalent of the average 9th Grade education here in the states. I work with people in Colombia everyday with Master's Degrees in their respective disciplines and their incompetence never ceases to amaze me. At least the women are usually resourceful though.
 
I'm not sure if you were just quoting the education comment as an example or if it's actually important to you, but if you are hell-bent on using an agency and the level of education the women have would be a determining factor in which you choose, I would try Introductions by Consuelo in Bogota. Although there's no way to be 100% sure about this, my experience would lead me to assume that the most educated women that are also members of foreign dating agencies in Colombia would probably be found there. I wouldn't bet the farm on that statement though. One sure thing I can tell you, you will be sacrificing looks for intelligence if you choose to go that route, as the women are much more attractive in Barranquilla, Cali and Medellin.
 
As for the request for a Master List, I think everyone can agree that a rating would be based on any given gringo's experience with that agency.
 
I have, and always will recommend Jamie's. Not every single man that goes there finds a wife, but most do; and either way you won't be feeling shafted after doing business with him.

It amazes me how hard some guys make this....if the agency has a photo on their website of a chick you would actually care to date it is a PRO.....if they don't it is a CON.


If she actually shows up for the date it is a PRO..if not it is a CON. jajaja


Bottom line is nothing else matters.....quality of the website.....agency hype to sell you on the idea of marrying a foreign bride....nothing.....doesn't really matter if the agency owner really even gives a crap if you actually find a wife or not......just as long as he can put women in front of you that you'd actually be interested in marrying one day.


If you need moral support through the process.....someone to help sell the chick on marrying YOU.....or just about anything else....you will be sorely and sadly disappointed in just about any marriage agency's performance. In fact about the most that you could possibly hope for is that they don't interfere with the relationship after you hook up.


That is why I suggest guys never even let the agency know which women they liked and didn't....in fact don't ever even let them contact the women liked again after the initial meeting.....just get her phone number and contact her yourself......if you need a translator....hire one yourself that has no connection to the agency in question.

Not for those who are not interested in an agency

So people can decide to pull the trigger based on what companies are known to handle their biz properly

i.e screened women, not lying on their site, reliable with communication, customer service etc

There's obviously issues that some people like Sherpei have to deal with, and I'm suggesting something thats easy to refer to so people can avoid potential bad experiences

Jamie and Consuela would rank higher based on this boards feedback

Good advice. The need for the interpreter concerns me the most. You would think with a language as simple and straight forward as Spanish guys interested in meeting women that speak it would take the time to work themselves up to an advanced level at least before making the trip. After all is the interpreter going on your honeymoon too? You need to learn to speak spanish to communicate with her family and she needs to learn english to make it with his family. Your dates together could be a great learning opportunity for both. Unless you meet a woman like a good single friend of mine in Thailand. She comes from a unique family. Three generations of English teachers. On both sides.

I can't imagine using an interpreter. Seems very awkward to me. If you're going to try to develop the relationship at all (e.g., get to know her and her family), being able to communicate in Spanish is essential...

When i was just getting started in this I did use an interpreter and it was awkward...even when my spanish wasn't very good, when I ditched the interpreter it was much better....  I think if it is a choice of not going or using an interpreter, it is better to just go and use the interpreter and ween yourself off him/her as soon as possible.
