All Colombian Girls or Cali Best???

So I should have listened to the warnings I got about a certain agency...  I am doing more research and starting over.  Does anyone have any experience with either of these agencies?  I would like to know good bad or what ever.  Also I am planning go do down for about 15 days how much should I plan to bring money wise?

I've only been to Barranqilla & Cartagena but I hope to give Cali a shot later this year. Good luck and give us a trip report when you come back.

I went to Cali about 4-5 years ago with ACG.  I wasn't very happy with the service back then.  Not very professional.  Not well organised or prepared.

I got horrible service from Colombian Sweethearts... I was ready to drop cash and they are expensive...  I was warned thier prices are more than other agencies.  I was only going due to 3 or 4 girls so maybe it was a blessing but I could not get any help what so ever! They made me feel like I was bothering them calling them with questions.  I won't use them again even if Shakira enlists in there agency and I for some reason believe I would have a chance with her..

I hear people like Jamie's agency.  I know guys that use Ricardo's agency ... relying on only those MIGHT work, but seems like a partial solution.  I might try em too ... but, what are you gonna do -ColombianCupid?


ColombianCupid.  I am in the USA for tradeshow season, and I re-joined CC mostly because I am bored    But, you know, finding a quality person on CC is really like trying to find a needle in a haystack.   Most of the girls that are attractive and alert (notice I did not use the word intelligent) ... hell, you can find aisles of women like that in Exito doing promotions on a Monday. 


Finding women who are very attractive, and have good qualities, and are not in a desperate ( or uncomfortable ) situation is not so easy.  Of course, when looking, I admit, I do seek very attractive women, and such woman almost always have choices.  It is a "sale" man.  And, a "sale" is best made eyeball to eyeball.

It sounds like Jamie's services are on the expensive side, but that he gets results. I like that he doesn't sugar coat things--reports from the field seem to indicate that he'll even discourage some guys from going with certain girls who he feels won't work out for them.
 
In the long run, if you buy into it, learn how things work and think with the big head, I think paying an extra grand or so is well worth finding a gal who is a long term winner of a wife. If you approach it wrong, you can still spend a lot more by doing it wrong several times.

It may have just not been the fit for me... Oh well I'm excited about the oppertunities that are out there.  Just have to move on let that go...  I would prefer an owner or worker to tell me that someone might not be a good fit for me.  We will see how it all shakes out.. I have left this process in God's hands he will bring the right girl across my path.. I can not worry about what city she is from.  I just want one that I can trust, love and the two of us can be happy together.  I know I got some really high standards there LOL... I will probably make a phone call to ACG today and see what the outlook is as far as what they recommend. I am trying to let this flow but it's an important decision so I put a lot of thought into this process.

They were very easy to work with so far... I am happy with the way the phone conversations went... I can't do much till I get closer to the time that I am going to be down there but seems like they have solid way of doing things and sounds like it should work out... I will use them when I go down this year.

Hey LatinSharpei:  I don't have the old post (from late last year) but one thing CaliPro suggested was trying to negotiate a per date price with Ricardo at ACG.  The implication was that kept him and his staff sufficiently motivated to get ladies to show up.

There are different between Jamie's BAQ and CSH Medellin or ACG Cali.   Jamie's price is more valulable than CSH or ACG. 


I have never been to Jamie's but I received number of letters from him.  I can tell you that he replied very quickly and answered my questions.


CSH had never replied to any of my letters even not reply to me about them selling their businesses lol


ACG, like I said I wasn't happy with their services.

I must have gotten Confused... I have never contacted an Agency in BAQ... So I never had any dealing's with Jaime.. I thought Jaime was the owner of CSH the way people were talking.  He sounds like he genuinly wants men to find success with thier trips so to me sounds like he is worth the price that he is charging... ACG has been responsive and helpful so I am comfortable with dealing with them... I don't want to be taken and after my dealings with CSH I fear that I could be sitting in the agency waiting for women the entire time and not getting much help.. For what they charge totally not worth it...

Yes my post linked above was all about that hotel. As to allcolombiangirls it is indeed the only brick and morter agency as far as I know remaining in Cali though there have been stirrings of late from Latin Soul Mates. With ACG it's best to negotiate with Ricardo (in person) depending on your legnth of stay and not pay attention to the website lifetime memberships, tours or packages. Ricardo's talant is putting the girls you have chosen to meet in front of you in the sitting room of his agency. They show up and you take it from there.

First I am glad I got something encouraging other than what I was feeling from the person on the phone that I was talking with.  Second thank you for letting me know your feelings toward Ricardo...f what you say is true the only reason I should possibly fail is bacause me and the girls I meet just do not click... I am going to set my reservation in the next couple months... I can't leave till September... That is when two of my three weeks Vacation is available.  How do I get in touch with this guy... I know you said in person but if I show up with no game plan in place I think I would stress out since I am a planner and want this to go well...

I understand you're a planner and I don't blame you for not wanting to stress out but I would not strike a deal over the phone ahead of time and certainly not send any money. What you can do is tell Ricardo the dates you will be in town and leave the discussion of the "details" until you get here. If pressed just say you don't make arrangements like that over the phone. September is a long ways off but you could be figuring out what kind of hotel accomodations you want in the meantime. The number at his agency dialed from the US is 011 57 2 374 3601. Be forwarned he doesn't speak a lot of English but usually has some one on hand who does. One last thing. There's a place on his webpage you can click to see the most recent sign ups. That's probably a good place to start.

I am not worried about the language barrier... I can speak a decent amout of spanish... I can get most ideas across in spanish if both parties are interested in hearing what each other has to say in my case... I have checked the page and there a some girls that I really like... I have to keep telling myself that if they are supposed to be the one then they will be avialable when I get down there..I wonder if there is anything that I can do in the mean time to start the friendship and correspondance.  The person  I talked to on the phone said if I paid for the membership in March / April like I am planning then they would be willing to help me get correspondance started with a couple girls.. Sounds like Ricardo might be a good resource // Ally to have in a situation like that

Ricardo has set up a sister site modeled after Colombian Cupid et al called http://www.thecolombianrendezvous.com/ I haven't looked at it closely but I think the idea is you can pay to be able to communicate with a certain number of girls. That might be an idea. The girls there sign up on line but if they leave a phone # he calls them and invites them to join the actual agency. Most do so and almost all are available through the agency.So I don't know if it's worth the money and effort. Since you'll already have access to the ACG girls when you get here I think you might be better off paying for three months on Colombian Cupid or Latin American Cupid, chat the girls there up and thus widen your net for when you come to Cali.

By the way what are you refering to with "Cali Best"? There was an agency that's been closed for several years now called "Latin Best", It was the first agency to open in Cali many, many years ago. Is "Cali Best" something else?

I am interested in heading to Colombia this year as well. At first I was thinking of Medellin but cant seem to find anything positive about Medellin other than the women. All I see is how dangerous its getting, even in Poblado. I dont want to have to worry about walking around possibly alone at night...On the other hand A women I was talking to a few months ago that lives in Cali said that there are very few gringos there..Last thing I want to do is go into a bar or club and be the only gringo, especially in Colombia! Im pretty paranoid if you cant tell..So I thought I would like to go with an agency like ACG and they would take care of me and I would be around other like minded gringos. Well, the 2 emails I sent to them were returned undeliverable and the the lastest bachelor tour  fotos they have are 4 yrs old! Cmon, if you want me to send you $800 for a 5 day bachelor tour you are going to have to update your site or something...So here I sit wanting to go to Colombia but to friggin scared to not have at least a wingman. Also, Im afraid if I dont partake in an agency Im going to just aimlessly wander the streets and not meet any women so an agency is almost a must, although I have met a few women over the last couple of years through social media sites and we webcam and such but Im still leary not knowing the ;anguage a that well....I would think that Ricardo would get on here and try tand drum up business...offer discounts and such and not have 4 yr old pics on his site.......sorry so longwinded. not to good at putting my thoughts into text but I think you get the jist at what Im saying........thanks for any suggestions...btw......im planning on Halloween for about 9 days or so........

ACG is not going to " take care of you". That is not how Ricardo operates. Really, the only agency that will pretty much hold your hand is Jamie in BAQ. Colombia has changed a lot in the past 15 years when it comes to agency's and service. The internet pretty much killed the agency scene.The TLC tours are another possibility for you if you need to be helped out a lot from management.

Most foreign businesses operate like this. If you pay up front they really don't give a crap if you get good service or not. Jamie seems different but I don't think he is Colombian and probably has a better understanding of how guys from the US expect to do business.

Jamie is of European decedents, but many agencies owners are American!!   CSM from America, CSH from America.  LLM owner from America too?   You will find that many agencies come from America.   


They do not know how to run the business, and they do not know how to win potential customers, they do not know customer services.  They only smell money!  Simply they are too ignorant to learn

Well I tried online and the prospects were not that great so I am forced to either settle with some ungrateful american bitch... The last one faked pregnancy to get me to keep talking to her... 2 days after I talked to her and let her back into my life she convieniently started...  Or keep wasting time online... I am chosing the Agency route because I feel like I just need introductions not a lot of help... I am chosing the agency because of the the girls on the site and they have been responsive...  I don't  wanna go to an agency where I have no attraction to any of the girls... To me that would be a complete waste!  I have a certain look that I appreciate and desire... It's not Shakira its something pretty normal... But we all have things that attract us to a woman... To me its all in the face..I think the picture of the kid is an accident... I really doubt with the laws that they would be selling introductions to 4 year olds... If thats the new think I would like to set those sick puppies up for a date with a Colombian Neck Tie Specialist!  I have heard good and bad with ACG so I will keep people informed in how things are going... They told me certain things that I would like to see happen preparing for my trip... If those things happen I will say that they did... If they don't then I will be honest and say they don't... Yay!  I get to be the Guinea Pig for this experiment... Better than being a Gerbil for some other human experiment LOL!  I will have more to say about proof one way or the other in the coming months... But I told them I am not gonna move any money till closer to my trip time as I want to do this comfortably and get to know them more over time.
