Economy: Brazil overtakes UK

But it seems like you guys are safe, the forecast for 2020 still shows the US as the first.

The funny things is that I can still relate with the many poverty stories told by you guys about Colombia and the Philippines. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the wealth distribution. I really wish out HDI was somewhat similar to the UK.

I think the weath distribution can be solved over time as long as corruption is delt with and education is a priority. The Brazilian economy could be (and should be) the world's 5th largest economy IMHO.

I completely agree!  I saw a news article a few days ago about European students going to Brazil for internships.  WOW!!  Passing up the US for Brazil!!!  That says A LOT!!!

You're right V_Man. The biggest problem is the corruption. With the huge amount of taxes we pay here, I would expect to have everything taken care of for everybody. But no one knows exactly where the money goes.

Thats because the party moved to Brazil, so the young Euros like to party in the in spot.
NOT becasue of the quality of education and work.
