I heard it's expensive to send a package to China from US. Any suggestions on a cheaper service. I don't need it there fast. Thanks for your help, Chris
You are correct, it is pretty expensive to send a package to China from the US. I have sent packages to China via the US Postal Service, FedEx and DHL all of which are not cheap. I haven't come across a less expensive way to send packages although there may be one out there. My wife and I know a lot of Chinese here in the US and so we usually wait and have our Chinese friends take things to China for us when they go for a visit and then they mail them to their final destination from within China once they get there.
More often than not, when I do mail something to China I use the US Postal Service's Express Mail option. This tends to be a little less than either FedEx or DHL and once the package arrives in China it is then turned over to the Chinese EMS service which is very reliable and track-able - but you must mail it Express Mail.
