Question for the experienced Cali traveller
« on: June 25, 2006, 09:41:43 AM »
Hi everyone,

I was wondering about something.  For those guys that have traveled to Cali in order to find a wife, have you guys found that the nature of the woman are all the same?

In example, have you found that the nature of the women of Cali are the same as the nature of the U.S. women; being that there are players in cali just like there are players in the united states?

There is an agency that I want to join. It is called CaliBest and is at www.calisbest.com

Have any of you guys delt with them?

Lastly, who is presently the best agency in cali that seems to have the best results for there members?

Thanks,

Moore

Moore,

Welcome to GW.  Please don't take this as criticism, it's just my.

It's a waste of time & energy to fret over the "best" agency.  Whether you succeed or not is FAR more dependent on you than the agency(ies) you use.   Can you speak Spanish well?  If not, have you started studying?  Have you questioned your motivation for searching for a woman in Latin America?   If you're like many newbies, you may be tainted with unrealistic expectations from reading too much agency sales hype.  LEarning SPanish and knowing yourself in regards to what you want and why you're doing this would be a far better use of your time & energy than searching for the "best" agency.

If you're reasonably intelligent, with some judgement, maturity, and patience, you can succeed in meeting and marrying a good Latin woman.   It won't be easy.  I most likely won't be cheap.  International travel (several trips) long distance phone calls, immigration expenses, and the expense of taking on a non-working wife (who probably won't be very employable for quite some time) can be some pretty significant expenses.  There's also a high non-monetary cost associated with this.  The first year or so is actually quite difficult.  Many of these women arrive pretty helpless and you'll find yourself having to take care of a lot more than you expected for them.

One of the problems IMHO is that there's too many who seem to start out assuming that nearly any woman they show interest in will reciprocate, regardless of great disparities in age and attractiveness.  If your primary objective is to marry the youngest, hottest looking chica you can find, then you're probably in for trouble.

Let's face it, this MOB thing does draw in some less-than-alpha males with less than good judgement and people skills.  This isn't a solution for those guy's problems.

If you have any specific questions, let us know.

Regards,  Patrick

The women

To answer your question about the women.  Everybody's got an opinion.  Mine is that there's some things about women that are universal.  I think the hottest looking women in any culture tend to be high maintainence and expect a lot in return for their looks.  I don't think Latin Americans are an exception.  I think many of them tend to be more "traditional" but I also think it varies by country and age.   I definitely think they tend to be more family-oriented.

One thing you need to expunge from your mind is an expectation that you can even talk about "them."  Each woman is a unique person and will have unique values and beliefs.

Fuzzy and Patrick(thanks for the answer Pat),

I did go back in 2002 with a friend of mine.  He joined an agency and I was just there for the ride.  I did meet one girl that I thought was marriage material.  But, she was very sly to say the least.  She was a player to be honest and I faced up to that when I started seeing the red flags.  It really discouraged me and I just dropped the whole international dating thing alltogether and said to myself, "myself, maybe you should just stick to american women so all women are the same anyway".

Fuzzy, the funny thing was that I let 4 years pass by and the american women seen is alot worst now than it was 4 years ago!  Back then, after that incident in Cali, I was so heartbroken(I'm a very emotional person for some unknown godly reason...) until I swore not to go back to cali.  Four years have passed and now, I'm ready to go back with new amunition.  I just got a course in yesterday from bilingualamerica.com and will be also be doing the verbal tutorial with them.  I will take 12 months to learn conversational spanish fluently(90% or more) during this time period.  I will then proceed to go back to cali to perservere once again.  This time, I will stay for 3 months in an apartment.  I will date at least 30 women before I even think about which one to think more about(laughing).

I'll fail once, but I won't make the same mistake twice.  Money is not the issue becausee I trade the currency market and that can be done from anywhere.  I have the financial means to do what I please.  Now, I just want the right woman to share it with.

So, that's were I'm at right now in my 'love life'.  Before I forget, Being that I'm 34 years old and will be 35 in Novemeber, I will date women who are no younger than 28.  Actually, if I can date 30 year olds, that l would be even better.  I have found, from my first experience that there is something about being 30 years old(women) that tends to make them more settled and ready for a life of marriage.  Don't know what it is, but whatever it is, I will go with the flow.

Peace,

H.M

Hilton???!!! Wasn't Hilton doing time for some kind of fraud in Missouri? I liked his made up travelogues like the one where he entertained the other guests by playing the piano in his hotel in Bogota. (Turned out that hotel has no piano.)

Or is this a different Hilton?

Nope, couldn't have been me since fraud can't occur in the currency market unless your a market maker or broker; and even then it's almost impossible because the market is just too big.

Personally, I never had an account back in 2002, I just read the post with the guy that joined the agency.

I don't know how to play the piano and probably never will(lol).  So, you must be talking about a different hilton.  Has to be.

I love this forum for one reason... most post have been saved so anyone can go back and read about old trips, B.S. ect

Anyway here is the pointer to a old post you actually put up back in 2002.
http://www.goodwife.com/smf/index.php/topic,5160.0.html

On the fraud we all got to read about a Hilton Moore in Joplin MO that got busted for selling camcorder over yahoo auctions. Funny thing was this Hilton Moore was 6' 3" and about 32 years old, plus showed a Photo.

Do you still have your software company?

Funny thread, but the advice given about women, the adjustment and knowing yourself should be saved, it's very solid!
