Yes, ethanol among other things, has factored into the price of corn.

I also noticed that recently the exchange rate dollars-Colombian Peso has been moving upward, around 1918 today.  Getting relatively close to 2000 again.  A far cry from where it once was, but better than I would have guessed, given what is happening with the economy.
