      Well I hope UC will be back.I think he has been a victim of a troll.Yes, I think pfkwagen is most likely a troll. Many things point to it:

       1) Looking at his profile pfkwagen lists his location as New York.This is an option that you type in.But if you look at his local time it is in the Central Time Zone, New York is in Eastern Time Zone.

      2)He only signed up a couple of days ago but sure knows how to use the option to edit his posts, which he did.

     3)Pfkwagen isn't looking for a foreign wife and yet he becomes a member of a forum that is about just that. I know, I know, what is wrong with that? It's what trolls do.They sign up on forums with no interest in the subject and post controverial things.

      4) I saved the best for last.Pfkwagen's profile pic(avatar) was taken from a Stockphoto pic:

       I don't think pfkwagen is a male model in a blue t shirt.What kind of name is pfkwagen? sounds like it was made up on the fly. I don't think pfkwagen is 30 years old either.He made a reference to a creature from a Star Wars movie made in 1977.I know that some Star Wars movies were made later but how many 30 year old men are such fans that they reference these movies.Unfortunately there are older men in thier 40's and 50's that would because they were/are huge Star Wars fans....from the 70's.

   ....and do you reference the movies in conversations? as if everyone is as big of a fan as you are?That's the kind of fans I'm talking about...the middle aged men who would buy those action figures, take them out of their boxes and actually play with them. But anyway, I gotta agree with UC that the guy came across as just another sex tourist (I hope I'm mistaken and that it's just bad grammar formatting on his side, getting his timeline mixed up).  It was just the "p!#che" comment that got UC slapped down.  (I don't know how many of you saw it before Dan dropped the hammer on him and deleted it.)  We'll see if UC gets proven right about the newbie, but from his years of experience on this board I'm inclined to trust him.

To be honest my first thoughts about this guy were quite negative, but then again I am going through a bit of a bad time and I thought it was all in my imagination... some of those thoughts were:


1.- Is he old enough to shave?
2.- well, at least he doesn't have self esteem issues (not attractive on my list)
3.- cheater
4.- is he serious?
5.- I wonder what is he doing here


I have no idea what he could have said about UC's wife or why for that matter, but hopefully he'll calm down and come back, the troll is long gone I am sure.

Hi everyone. I work in an office in NYC so my time is somewhat limited with deadlines, projects, etc.

I'm not here to start problems with anyone, I'm not here to insult anyone or get insulted. I did this topic to introduce myself.  However, one of your buddies cursed me in Spanish first. I see that some of you have already aligned yourself to your friend without knowing the whole truth. You may have history with your friend because you been talking to that person for a long time and then he's fighting with this new kid on the block, but perhaps it's just me, but if I see my friend start a fight with someone and I know they started, I'm the type of person who would say: "Dude! Chill out bro! What you did was wrong! I'm also not the type of person who would align myself automatically to my friend just because "he's my friend".

But then again, I don't expect those who have aligned with their friend to align with me, so excuse me if I don't answer your questions. I just don't feel that it's necessary to "prove" to people that already have a negative attitude towards me.

Now with that out of that way, I'm happy to be a member of this community.

Researcher, my freshman year in college I went to a Halloween party as a Storm Trooper. I still have the suit (even though I don't think it fits right anymore). Those action figures are in the boxes because the only thing more important to me than Star Wars is money. But I still get tempted to take them out and have myself a gallatic battle on the carpet. 
 
This is completely off subject but for any Star Wars fan that doesn't know Lucas has decided to do three more movies. He initially said that Episodes I through III would be his last because he wouldn't live long enough to make the others. A couple of years ago he realized that special effects technology is advancing much faster than he anticipated. Supposedly the movie Avatar was a huge inspiration. I won't get into the plot here, but I can tell you that Lucas said that these movies will show why Luke Skywalker was always considered the stongest Jedi ever. I'm REALLY looking forward to it. Release of Episode VII is tentatively scheduled for Summer of 2014!!!

Mmmm...just did some more research online. Seems like what I've previously read may have just been rumors. Maybe no next three movies at all. Guess we'll just have to see. Lucas is a wack job if he doesn't make them, but he so freaking rich I guess he's not really worried about it.

@pfkwagen: it's not about taking sides, if nobody complains about UC is because he is the sort of man that is not afraid to say what is on his mind and also happens to have very low tolerance for someone who is irrespectful towards women, you offending his wife instead of him (who was the one that offended you) only further proves that you have no respect for them. For all is worth we have great moderators that will take charge if things go too far, Dan did edit UC's post even though he has been around for years and you are a newbie.


If you read around the board you will notice that most of us have a bit of an old fashioned frame of mind, that doesn't mean we don't have a bit of everything in this board, from shy to big risk takers, young to old, even a player or 2... oh and a couple of latinas, go figure!


So if you are going to stick around, welcome, if there is a lurker out there similar to you I hope he reads this, as far as I am concerned you are a bit like fertilizer, it doesn't give the best impression at first, but if you turn out to be useful everyone will be thankful in the end and who knows? you might grow a beautiful friendship once you are appreciated.

Given that I often eat Japanese cuisine, and it often includes raw meat, it is entirely possible I've eaten live animals.  Though only once knowingly (at least the fish was still twitching at the time).
