Do Colombian women have a "hair issue"?
« on: May 25, 2011, 06:44:30 PM »
Long time lurker, first time poster here. After spending a good bit of time checking out the inventory on Jamie's site, I've notice quite a few women have some hair issues. I've noticed a lot of women that seem to have very dark hair on their arms. I've also noticed that several women that have photos in bikinis or showing off their midrif seem to have the happy trail thing going on. Did anyone notice this while in Colombia? Is this just an issue in BAQ? I've never seen a photo yet of a woman with hairy armpits, legs, or face and since everyone says how feminine these ladies are, I assumed they would wax everything below their eyebrows. What's the deal with the hairy arms and happy trail thing? How could this issue be brought up respectfully to a Colombian woman?

Both my wife and my ex from BAQ have the happy trail going on, and it is considered sexy there. For some reason I must agree. Although I have not met any Colombianas yet who were not ...well....very smooth in other strategic places.

My ex wife is a Filipina, and at least where she was from, if a girl had hair on her arms it was a huge plus for her. It drove all the guys crazy. And a man with a mustache was really something to write home about also. When I would go over there, there would always be a big group of neighborhood kids around me to watch me shave and trim my mustache that I had at that time.

Or the indiosas. Latinas with strong indigenous heritage tend to have very little body hair.

Women will shave their legs from the knee down and from the knee up it can have a little fuzz, i personally do not like it but its a culture issue, they seem to think if they shave it it will grow thicker.....

YOull be suprised at how many little culture issues and taboos colombians stickly belive, wives tales, like Iorning clothes then opening the freg, will cuase your face to get twisted, things like that are taken very seriously here.

as for hair in private areas, they tend to shave never came across many unshaven. hairy arm pits also not a huge problem, Colombians would rather dye the hair on their arms then shave it.

personal note i did run into a sexy girl, who choose to keep hair on her stomach instead of shaving it, very unattractive.

Did you bring this up or just ignore the issue? I know that most Colombian women take a lot of pride in their appearance and hygiene, so I'm wondering how well they would take criticism about this.

I don't see what the big deal with hair on a woman is.Even Salma Hayek has a little facial hair but it's barely noticeable....

I gotta admit even I think that is just WRONG!!!!!!

I brought it up to her a couple times, its culture issue. its not show stopper but she does actually try and please me by using a rubbing pad to remove hair. She listens to me from time to time

One of the women I chat with once mentioned to me that the thing she wished for most, even more that going to a beach, was getting a chance to go to a Day Spa for some real pampering. Since she worked 6 days a week, that must have been a dream gift she has had for years.
I would think that if  'hairy' arms, legs and the 'Y' were an issue to any red-blooded 'gringo', he could spring for it,  and give her the 'works' package in a place that offered dipilitory services as an extra service.  This way it is a 'win-win' situation for you both. After all, she would be going though a bit of pain for you.
