Rent a Billboard to Meet Colombianas

I'll guest that 98% of dudes that meet/date Colombian women do so through an agency or an online dating site.  A few are smart enough and lucky enough (you lucky dog, Dennis!  ) to be able to live there and date many lovely ladies! 
I had a very serious alternative idea on how to meet a Colombiana but never followed through on it nor will I need to as I am engage to an extremely special lady. 
The idea was to rent a billboard in Colombia.  Perhaps I thought of this as I used to work in billboard sales years ago.  You'd have to find the right location and that would be a challenge without actually being there.  But getting past all of the logistics, I think the right billboard in the right location would attract many, many contacts from eligible ladies.  Women not into the agencies or online sites (which would be the vast majority of women) would see your ad, be intrigued, visit your site to learn more about you and make contact with you.

   I don't know OrlandoGringo a billboard seems kinda "out there" as an idea.I did know a few guys that took out ads in the local newspapers where they were looking and met some ladies that way.Who knows? It might work well.

There was this clown in Medellin who rides the metro all day long, bothering every pretty girl he saw, i think they threw him off.

I've been told the K-1 should be complete in Vermont in July and that the process in Bogota takes another 2 months.  My hope is that she'll be able to come here in September. 
Why do you ask?  Are you going that route too?

I don't have a problem with desperate loser.   
Just kidding. 
A lot of people used to to think that meeting people online was for losers.  Now, it's the #1 way that people meet one another.  And, by the way, I frankly don't care anymore what anybody thinks. 
Sure, one would have to sift through all of the frauds and flakes but they'd also get a lot of contacts from quality women that you likely woule never find through an agency or a dating site.  Of course, it all depends on what you say on the billboard, your site and what you say to them in person. 
I will you this.  The way to weed out the frauds is to 1)Upfront tell them no money, no way! 2)Require them to invest their TIME talking on CAM with you.  If they won't invest the time then they're not serious about a relationship and you move on.  It's no different that what one should do with women they meet online. 
With that said, the cost of the board and finding the right location would be the biggest challenges.  The question might be, are you getting the most bang for your buck? 
Like I said, I'll never know but I will you this - it would have been a lot of fun!

An old guy about 20 years ago did something like that.
he put a fairly good size hand made sign at the end of his driveway. if i remember correctly it said something along the lines of "Wife wanted must be good at cooking & cleaning" hell I'm not sure now it said the cleaning part (it's been a long time) but anyhow the old buck landed him a wife & i never heard anything further about them so i guess it worked out for them.

LOL chameleon!  You're probably right.  I suppose that's when the wrong head was doing the thinking.   
Anyway, I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time.

The idea is creative from an American POV......but it runs counter to everything I iknow about Colombian culture.
 
I would estimate the odds at finding a good woman inhtis way..... as infintesimal....
 
.most Colombian women want a man to call THEM, how many times (before you got engaged) have you chatted with a woman on CC and she gives you her cell phone withyou you asking for it......and expects you to call her.
 
Why would a quality woman call a stranger with an ad on a public billboard?
 
Don t think so....
 
But PLEASE. keep the proress reports on the K 1 coming!  Your story encourages a lot of posters and lurkers.   
 
There s a chance I ll be in Cartegnea when you re there, I am supposed to meet a woman who I ve known before....on the 20th for a few days.
