You finally got the I-130 rolling.

It may be a long wait but hopefully she may be with you by the beginning of summer.

And don't forget to be proactive when you get to the NVC stage.
If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?

Yup after a bunch of silly sh*t going down with Marily's family (costing me money each time :-\)
i finally got things going.

I'll have to research the NVC so i know how it should go down before it actually happens

thanks

You not the only one.

Ahya was going through some crap too - suddenly everybody became an "expert" and wanted to give her all kind of "advice". She told me some of the things they were telling her - some of the "things" did not even pertain to her & some were outdated by over 10 years.

Without me even telling her  - she shut them ALL down.
A few became mad at her but she said let them - if they cared, they will let her handle her own affairs & do things the right way.

Right now, nobody there know where she stands with her Visa application - just me & her, she didn't tell anybody, not even her sisters (one of them is what you call a "gossip girl").

She told them all "you will all find out when the time is right".

Marily is dealing with a few "crabs" and also some envy from her best friend ( who she had to cut loose)
Also her sweet older sister ::) ::) ::)
Marily is still in her review class for another month so I get to pay for her little brothers collage tuition until she returns to work.
She has also needed school books & those babies are not cheep.
But she needed them so i sent the extra cash over there.
the people from her nursing job have already started to text her wanting to know when she will return so i guess they want her back.
She will not know the results of her nursing exam for about 6 weeks but once she knows she has passed maybe they will give a small raise??
My understanding is that every 6 months between 60k to 80k nurses take the exam over there
this spring the pass rate.............about 32% ::)
i guess it's a tough test & most ladies just do a self review

Piggie,

Zulu
she should she takes the national nursing exam next month so she will be a RN there.

after that i have to go talk to the board of nursing here & find out what the require.
Marily may be able to take the NCLEX U.S. exam while she is still in the PI which would be a big help for when she gets here.

I may be able to get her visa app. expadited if i can prove that there is a nursing shortage.
I will go down to the local hospital & see the head guy there maybe he/she will help?
mite be able to get a letter out of them that can me sent in with the expadite request ??

i still have to look further into it but i think it's worth a try at this point.

You can try for the expedite but I do not think that this is a criteria to expedite a case.

Expedites are usually reserve for serious medical conditions, imminent military deployment, humanitarian reasons, etc.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

But it doesn't hurt to try - all they will say is no or yes.

Forget about getting anything “expedited”.

If you are in a hurry, you should have filed that petition long ago…

Piglett, if I am not mistaken, has been trying to make sure that his Asawa (spouse) can complete the classes they both want her to complete while she's still over there, to make things easier when she does come here.

It's not so easy to do--not like an A,B,C. procedure--there's variables here, involving classes, obtaining certifications, allocating resources and other intangibles. They both want her here ASAP, but not in a situation where she might have to start from scratch all over on her education or otherwise at best, end up 4 or 5 months after arriving here, getting here and ending up in some minimum wage paying dead end job.

Where the Pig lives, good paying jobs are not common, unless you have marketable skills that are in demand and they realize this and both want to build a better life together, even if that means sacrifices in what will hopefully be the short term scheme of things.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

the long & the short of it is as follows
the people in the province took their dam sweet time getting the marriage license
also getting the 3 affidavits took extra time
I didn't get All the required documents till Aug even though the wedding was in June.

you guys are correct we have been using this time to our advantage
Marily takes the national RN exam in less than 30 days
her review class is almost now over.

once she gets back to work i have to go down to the B.O.N. in my state & see what things she can do while still in the PI. she should be able to get the NCLEX knocked out too while she waits.

if i started to add up all the money i have sent over there to cover her review class, books, rent, food, brothers tuition for collage, she is also now moved twice since June. (family sh*t ...long story)
her dam sister leaving her high & dry in the apartment that they shared
hell i would have about $2500 sitting here in front of me.

i also had to buy a car with all my savings 2 months ago.

the long & the short of it is in the long run it will all work out

i bet her & i will sit back in a few years & say
"wow remember WAY back then ??"

Wow, they took that long?  :o

We receive an original & certified copies of our marriage certificate from the local registrar while I was still there - I used a copy for USCIS.
The NSO "version" took a little longer - about a month.

I think that she will have enough time to conduct all that she need to do while in PI.
Since you just started, the USCIS, NVC & Consulate journey will take an other  4-8 months and if, (a big if) you need extra time - she have 6 months to use the visa before it expires. But I think all her "requirements" would be completed by then.

Which three affidavits are you talking about Pig??

You should have gotten a locally certified copy of the marriage certificate before you came back. It took me about 2 hours to get certified copies from the LCRO. That's all you need for the petition. NSO coppies are not needed until much later in the process.

That is what I did.
I got the Original & Certified copy from the local registrar office  & I use a copy for the USCIC stage.
The NSO copy will be used for the NVC & Consulate stage.

Also, Ahya just got her amended passport (last name change) today.

Re;

>>Kenny Chesney said it the best "Yeah but thats the good stuff..."<,

Ain't that the truth! Looking back, I was never happier than those days back when I was in and out of school and taking different jobs here and there--when I could put everything I owned in two suitcases, catch a bus and hit the road.

Life was an adventure, one without many longstanding schedules. If I broke up with a girl, it wasn't a big, bitter deal and it wasn't long before I just 'happened' into another girl friend.

A piece of steak and a shrimp or two tasted like the the greatest luxury in the world, especially when shared with a friend. All the little things, down to the denomination of the coins (if I had any) jingling in my pockets meant more. A dollar mysteriously found tossing in my over stuffed laundry in the dryer was a really big deal--could be the difference between mere rice a roni and rice a roni with a bit of pork mixed in!

I guess we were poor, but hey, we were happy and somehow, with a little help from my friends, we still had some great times, parties and went to some great concerts.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

well uncle Ray ;D
according to the USCIS instructions for form I-130 under "WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU NEED TO PROVE A FAMILY RELATIONSHIP"

It states the following..............

a copy of marriage certificate..........got it

passport style color photos of myself & my wife .........got em

compleated form G325a for me & my wife ........got those to

in addition they ask for one of the following

Documentation showing joint ownership of property.......she's not here yet so, no can do ....yet

A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence OR    ( i have no leases i own my house)

documentation showing co-mingling of financial resources OR  (except for ATM withdrawls in Manila don't have any)

Birth certificates of children born to you the petitioner, & your spouse OR  (don't have any kids)

AFFIDAVITS SWORN TO OR AFFIRMED BY THIRD PARTYS HAVING PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE BONA FIDES OF THE MARITAL RELATIONSHIP

this is why i sent in THREE copy's of affidavits from primary wedding sponsors

Unlike the pig, it sounds like you had your shyt together all along kfc.

I don't know what piggy is doing(?)

 ???
what i did do is send in the I-130 packet & just received confirmation that USCIS has forwarded it to the Vermont service center ......the ball is rolling
