An American Dream: In Colombia we are (almost) all movie stars!
« on: October 25, 2010, 11:21:50 PM »

I was scanning the internet and saw that Matt Damon has a cute Argentinian wife that just gave birth to their 3rd child together, (she had another daughter prior to meeting Mr Damon) Obviously he is an exceptionally handsome accomplished movie star and a multi millionaire to boot.  His wife was an ex-bartender and is awful cute, but no more attractive than the wives of some of the posters that I’ve have seen on this website.

It is sure nice to know that us unwashed masses get to have beautiful babes too, that is at least the ones that are not afraid to take a chance and do some travelling.  I feel a little sorry for the men that feel stranded with wives that they are no longer attracted to.  Of course I also feel a little sorry for the guys that just couldn't cut the mustard and had their Colombian women abuse and run out on them.

Fathertime!

This is almost exactly what me and my wife look like when we are out on our evening walk, except we are a little more beautiful then the Damons! hehe  :D

Hey FT,

...and where did Matt meet her...Miami! I keep telling LA Board guys..."Miami": many ladies from various LA countries, no visas, no immigration costs (if they're legal), no passports, cheap airfare (can also get their by land or sea), no bad water...  ;D Ah, what the heck, anybody can go to Miami. You get bragging rights and plenty of stories to tell when you go to the third world!  ;D

Hey Dave!
I'm sure the babes of Miami look almost as good as the ones in Colombia.
I can't imagine the ladies of Miami being as receptive as the ones from Colombia, for men over 40 and who are not Matt Damon.

I lived in Broward and Dade counties for several years and met many, many women. And the ones I met there were some of the craziest, most materialistic I have ever met anywhere. And it was strange because they were from all over: Jamaica, Cuba, Honduras, NY, Colombia, just about everywhere, but they were all nuts!

Maybe it is something that happens to them when they get there. Who knows?

I ended up moving from there to the West Coast because of all the craziness that was happening there. It was a great place to get laid, but to find a meaningful relationship, did not seem so great.

LA, San Diego, etc. seem like Mayberry compared to South Florida living.

Hey Fathertime,

Probably not as receptive...but I always did very good.  I was over 40 and dating Latinas from 18-40. ;D There were not too many gringos where I lived and the Latinas were into the blue eyed gringo thing.

Some reasons that make Colombia a great place for meeting beautiful women for relationships:
1. It seems like there are a lot more women than men there. You hear stupid ratios like "there are 2:1 women to men in Cali", that of course is impossible, but I am positive there are more women than men. Many of the men are in the jungles: working in the drug trade, fighting the drug trade, working in remote areas in mining operations, killed in war/drug trade, etc.

2. The men I met there in Colombia are definitely not into getting married. They usually live with their mommas for as long as they can. It is like they all got together and said "hey guys, lets all stay single so all the girls will be single too and they will be so available and eager to date us". Seriously.

3. Seems like there are tons of women in the 18-40 year old age group there right now.

4. The mixing of different cultures, races, etc, have resulted in some of the most attractive looking women in the world in my opinion.

5. Most people seem to walk a lot more, eat a lot less than we do here in the States, so the women tend to be in better physical condition.

6. Possibly because of increased competition, the women there seem to take care of themselves a lot better physically than they do here in the States. They also have better fashion sense for the most part.

7. Colombianas tend to be OK with a big age difference between husband-wife. So that effectively doubles or triples the already huge number of available babes. In my ex gf's family there were several long term marriages between Colombian husband/wife with more than 20 years difference. The only really solid relationship that I saw there was about 26 year difference.

8. Because the Colombian guys are spoiled there and have so many women to choose from on a daily basis, they do not really need to be so desperate and detail oriented with the courting process. So from my experience most did not overly shower their girl with romantic talk, little thoughtful gifts etc. So when we do those things we look "too good to be true".

Hey Alabamaboy,

You were in my old stomping grounds. I lived there 41 years and couldn't wait to get out of the craziness myself! The key there is to find one out of the "many, many women" who didn't change (most were already married) or just get laid.  ;)

I found some Miami Latinas that broke the mold and were keepers...but things didn't work out for various reasons (no one to blame). I eventually met my Filipina wife, who was a keeper. 10 years together and she still has black hair, no cellphone, no Fil/Am social groups, etc.  Everyone here in the Philippines can't believe that she has been to America (lived there for 8 years). They believe that as soon as a Filipina sets foot on American soil their skin suddenly turns white, hair color changes to red or light brown, expensive clothes and jewelry suddenly appear on their body, and they forget how to speak their native language, preferring to speak English.

My wife is out and will not be home tonight...for her that doesn't mean "ladies night out"! She is spending the night caring for a sick elderly relative who was hospitalized today. She will sleep on a hard bench or a mat on the floor. My wife had to buy a bottle of water today so the patient could swallow the medicine. We are talking private hospital...third world style.

Dave, that is right....when you say that most of the good ones were already married. I think that is the main problem with the States. People tend to hook up earlier and then just lock onto that one person. But in Colombia the people are out socializing all the time, and nobody seems really tied to the other for very long.

here in the US i' pretty sure that I HAVE 'aged out' of the vast majority of ladies i would have considered long term material.  it must be rather depressing for other men over 40 that don't realize that there are other options outside of the USA.

If you want to meet hot Latinas, Miami is the place!!

I would not recommend meeting your future wife there!  But if you want to have fun!  Its perfect and no visa's, passports or other out of the country issues.

One of my favorite cities!

South Beach, Miami in particular has a a whole lot of hotties walking around, and on some of their  beaches, clothing's optional.

NYC's Fifth Avenue, between 49th and 59th street is hard to beat and generates more electrical 'big city' vibe than maybe anywhere else and Yong Street in Toronto (said to be the longest street in the world) has a huge amount lot of cuties from all over the world.

I hear Montreal has an eyeful, maybe even more than Toronto, but I haven't been there yet

One time I was in South Beach Miami when I was about 26, in tip top condition, well dressed, great job making great cash, new car....I was making great progress with a gorgeous girl at the club, it was almost closing time and I was already licking my chops because we were ready to go back to my place....then some pimple faced chubby dude yells out that everyone is invited to party at his 65 foot Hatteras Yacht, open bar.....and that was that. Every girl was at his feet within seconds. That is when I realized I cannot compete here for a good looking babe because no matter what the guys looked like, the women seemed so materialistic and were perpetually looking to "trade up"

I worked at a hospital in West Palm Beach, FL for awhile. And I noticed that there were tons of super luxury cars parked in the employee parking lot. But they were not in the physician's lot. So I checked it out one day to see who was getting out of the cars. Almost every one had a young hottie with scrubs on coming out of the car. And none of them looked older than 25. So I finally asked a few of them when I saw them in the employee cafeteria what the deal was.

They all told me the same story. They were in nurses aide school so they can get a certification to work in the hospitals as a caregiver. Then they planned on hooking up with a wealthy patient as a "private caregiver" in their home when they were discharged from the hospital. There were a huge number of hotties doing this same thing. The luxury cars? One of the "gifts" of their previous clients (victims).

They told me they purposefully looked for the oldest, sickest, and richest patients to latch onto so they would die sooner and they would get their "rewards" quicker and they could move on to the next guy.

South Florida was a nightmare for guys looking for a normal life/relationship. At least at that time.

And dangerous??? Compared to Colombia it was way worse than anything I have experienced in all my trips to Colombia.

One time I was working in a hospital, had a super cute girlfriend who worked in the front office. She seemed so sweet, innocent, Mexican gal. Killer body, smile, hair, modest, the works. I thought I finally found "the one" to start getting serious with.

We were dating for a couple weeks and everything was fantastic, then one day a little Danny Devito sized guy came into the hospital. He was loaded down with tons of bling-bling and was obviously jacked on coke or something. He took out a Glock and stuck it right under my chin (I think that was as far as he could reach) in the middle of the day and told me he was going to blow my brains out if I did not stop dating his girlfriend. Even though they had broken up months earlier. I know for a fact she was not dating him during the two weeks or so we were together because she was with me the whole time, sleeping over, the works. After he threatened me like that, he just stuck his gun back in his pants and walked out. Nobody called the police because the guy was obviously a whack job and would probably come back and kill everyone later.

I have lots of crazy stories like that. And I only lived in FL for like 5 years or so!

I have always hated Miami - combining the worst of Latin America with the worst of the United States. The best Latinos in the US are in Texas.

Well... I just never considered looking in the Asian countries before this year, to be honest. I had preferred to look for someone I could meet fairly easily, because I learn more in-person about how the two of us actually get along with each other. That wasn't working too well, though... I was on AsiaFriendFinder earlier this year, and in one weekend alone I busted 23 scammers. Got disgusted and gave up. Still, being alone sucks, so I started doing more searching for Asian dating information, and tripped over this site. :)

Yeah UC that has been my experience about Miami/South FL area. Lots of users, scammers, etc. Both gringos and Latinos. Seemed like most of the folks were about image and just trading up and leveraging as much as they could to improve their situation, whether that means ripping people off in real estate deals, running porn businesses, insincere relationships where the guy or girl is using the other for one thing or the other, some kind of scam business plan, Ponzi schemes, etc.

Especially the folks who get their starts up in NYC, Jersey, Philly, then come down south to do all these shady things. Lots of those guys I met there. And the gals from SA who are dying to move to Miami and nowhere else, that remains a huge red flag to me even to this day.

Sounds like a good way for HIM to get shot.  I take it you do not carry as a matter of habit?  I guess not if you are the type who would not even call the police when somebody threatens to kill you.

I guess you ended the relationship because of that?

Ignorante....appropriate name.

First of all, nahhh....kind of hard to be packin my pistol grip 12 gauge while working in a cardiac care wing of a hospital. And you got me again, I guess I am a pretty much a pussy that I did not call the cops on a guy jacked up on coke that was so insane that he came to my work and put a gun under my chin. In case you did not know it, the world is a dangerous place. You think the police were going to protect me or something? Please! You are living in a fantasy world. People get blown away every day in South FL for things much less than that. I did not think at the time my budding two week romance was worth taking on an arm of the Cali Cartel or something. I know though, you would have pulled out your weapon and shot him dead on the spot. I know, I know.

Next time maybe I will just log on here at PL and try to PM you real fast to see if you can come help me.

And I am also quite sure you would have continued to date that girl and live happily ever after.....sureeeee when he or one of his crew blows you away in a drive by coming out of her house or work.

Is George Bush your hero?
