I watched the republican debate last night. I'd say that any candidate up there would make a better president than Obama. He clearly has no idea what he is doing.

     Researcher
Well Researcher, I'd agree with that viewpoint, even if I only saw newsclips from the debate!

RonPaul really is going to take crap for the answer he gave about BinLaden though.  The timing of his answer around 9/11 is just going to make it worse.   He is so willfully unaware of how his words are going to be spun, that he is doomed as a genuine candidate for Pres.

The more I hear about Perry's viewpoints, the more I would change my mind and lean towards Romney over him.  I'm curious to see who winds up as VP.  It certainly appears that it is a Romney/Perry race at this point.

I agree FT. Ron Paul did just win a straw poll in California though. It still may be anybody's race. I'm kinda tired of hearing Rick Perry take credit for how Texas has done during the Great Recession. I think it has more to do with Texas being an oil producing state and less to do with Rick Perry's term as governor. If he was the governor of California and had drastically improved it that would be a huge feather in his cap! But Texas? nah!

California also has an abundance of oil and other natural resources.  But still look at the condition it is in.  I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Austin is not thick-as-thieves packed with anti-business tree huggers like Sacramento is.

Bob S. Texas produces double the amount of oil as California...but I do agree with your tree hugging comment!

I gotta agree with you about Perry and the state of Texas.  He knows he doesn't deserve THAT much credit,.  The state has abundant natural resources and many others do not.  He is acting like a politician though and taking full credit.  I would give him partial credit, but not near full credit.

Ron Paul keeps winning or placing high in these straw polls which I'm happy about because at least his ideas are getting a lot more airplay if nothing else.

Well I noticed the markets are in freefall today.  It appears that the feds are not going to give the market anymore 'stimulus'.  If indeed the fed/obozo stick to their guns and no longer 'stimulate' the market, I think this is finally the beginning of the REAL fall.  Obozo did a good job of delaying this day, but it has been inevitable.   Perhaps, they will wind up stimulating if the crash gets too steep and the riots commence.  It is worth watching closely now.

They are now talking YEARS more of this poor economy.  I totally agree, those that thought this wasn't a great depression were not correct.

the people in the market are unsure what the bozo is going to do & what he is going to do to them so the markets will keep jumping up & down till we can find a leader for the country. bozo hasn't even ever run a lemonade stand. he was always a comunity organiser in other words all he did was throw sh*t in the game & bitch "whitey is bad whitey is bad" that's what community organisers do in Chicago if they don't they don't keep their gig for long.

i like Herman Kane, who here has heard him speak?
i think he may be the man to send old bozo packing

bozo was abandoned by his mother in Hawaii
his grandparents took him in. his grandfarther only knew of 1 black man in the area & he though this man could be a mentor for the young lad, the problem is the mentor was a card carrying communist.

What an interesting and humorous debate!  If the Republicans can stay this unified I really think they got a real shot at taking down old Obozo.  I mean they made a pin cushion out of him, it really isn’t fair to poor obozo.

I’m done with Perry, his HORRIBLE answers regarding Immigration have made him unelectable.   I don’t care how slick he thinks he is.   If it were Perry vs Obozo, I would vote for a 3rd party candidate

Ron Paul is still number 1, but I could live with Cain/Romney or Romney/Cain.

I really don't understand why Rick Perry is ahead in the polls. There isn't anything that impressive about him.I did hear on CNN one statement I never thought I would hear. They said one big problem we have now is lack of leadership.Everyone is in campaign mode and not working to try and improve anything. I agree. I don't think the government can fix everything but they can make matters worse.

Obama shouldn't be re-elected.He should have been working on the economy back when he was busy forcing his health care bill through. To me that shows a lack of vision and leadership.

Perry blew it big time!

By reasserting his view that we don't need a border fence, just 'boots on the ground' and 'aviation assets on the ground' (huh?), it is painfully obvious that he is only pandering to the Latino vote in Texas, if he loses the nomination for pres.

So what does this bozo want? How many boots on the ground to replace the fence? If you put Border Patrol agents shoulder-to-shoulder along the entire border 24/7, allowing for shift changes, vacations, holiday overtime, how many agents will you need and how much will it cost? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

And what's this nonsense about being against a fence all the way to Tijuana?? We already have a new triple-layer high tech fence in the San Diego sector (Tijuana) and Arizona. So what does he want to do, tear the fence down? Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

And what's this crap about not having a heart if you are against financial aid and in-state tuition discounts for ILLEGAL ALIENS? Is he crazy? I think all these bleeding hearts out there who are so concerned about the poor ILLEGAL ALIENS getting a quality education should put their own money where their mouth is and donate their own money to an ILLEGAL ALIEN scholarship fund and keep their grubby little fingers out of my damn wallet!

Perry just lost my vote for sure!  :P

I hear ya Ray, I won't give this guy my vote. His responses were TERRIBLE about illegal immigration.  So now RAY what would you do if it were PERRY VS OBOZO?  Who would you vote for?

I truly think Perry is done for after what he said, similar to Ron Paul after what he said a couple weeks ago.  These missteps just can not be made up for.  Romney will hammer Perry on that point in every debate.   The only thing Perry can try to do is switch his position, but that is not going to happen and if it did, nobody would believe him, including me.

I love the manner in which Herman Cain speaks.  I would guess that he would not get the nomination for Pres, but if he does I would support him.  Imagine a black man vs a black man for president.  I notice that obozo changes his accent when he speaks to black crowds and it sounds phony and like he is pandering.  I haven’t noticed a change in the way Cain speaks though, he always sounds the same, and he doesn’t sound/act like he is brown nosing for votes.    If it were obozo vs Cain, I think Cain would clean Obozo’s clock.  One could argue against Cain that he has little international experience.

he was the CEO godfarthers pizza & has also worked his way up the ladder at a couple of other large company's. he also has a masters degree in mathematics. he IMHO is the real deal & i don't really give a sweet dam if he is black ,white, or purple with green stripes as long as he can pull our bacon out of the fire.
{trust me pigs never like it when their bacon is in the fire ;D :D ;D }

i was talking to a guy today who has a place in Florida
& he tells me that many people there have just started to leave their key in their vehicle hoping that someone will steal it. they also have huge signs on their front lawns stating that they either want to sell or rent their house. he said there are thousands of such signs.
so i guess in some areas things are really messed up & will require a guy with new ideas that will actually work (unlike bozo's ideas)

if i was in there i would remove ALL troops from Iraq & Afganastan & redeploy them on the southern border & into the ports. also i understand that there are american troops within 300 miles of you reguardless of where you are on the planet. we have 50,000 in Germany......why? 20,000 in italy....too many they can eat pasta here ;D   ;D   ;D  next i would authorise a FULL review of the unites states budget. once we found out about most of the ongoing waste fraud & corruption i would give long prisson sentances to those involved.
next my understand is that up to 20% of the population in some states smokes pot atleast once a week. just like back in the 30's when they outlawed booze what we have rite now isn't working.
i think our police should be looking for the real bad guys not some kid smoking a joint with his friends. next welfare would become workfare. whoever has been on the welfare rolls the longest would be the 1st to be required to attend my new nation wide job training centers. if they don't attend they don't get anymore money. all the illegals would want to go back home because i would make it really tough on people that knowinglee rented to them or employed them.
here is a clue.....if they don't speek 1 word of english they mite just be illegal. next income tax would be 10% for every man woman child & corperation. if we can't run this country on that something is wrong.

Hopefully Cain keeps picking up momentum...The liberal channels are trying to spin this as a bad thing for the Republican party, but if there is one candidate that they would HATE to see as Pres/Vice Pres, it would be Herman Cain.  The 'racist' card would be taken off the table.   I like Cain a lot.  I like the way he talks, I like his ideas, and I hope he winds up on the ticket somewhere.

I like this wall street occupation.  It appears to be a protest of our distorted political process and leadership. If I lived near wall street I would participate in that event.  I heard that 700 were arrested yesterday.   I hope 7000 show up this week.  It is a strange group of people, ultra liberals and ultra conservatives all banding together.  This thing may wind up taking some root.  I heard it is spreading to other cities now.

But if they start getting violent than the police should show them who is boss, like they do in Syria!   jaja
