Perfect weather???  It rained most of the days!! lol  Perfect weather in terms of hot or cold - yes!

She is from Pedregal area - north west.   I met her via ColombianCupid more than 9 months ago

She does not have a proper job at the moment, but she is making necklaces/earrings etc for her cousin's business.  It does not pay very much but it helps with food and bills.  She also paints religious ornaments - for example 'The Last Supper'.  I got one for my birthday and she painted it beautifully.  She lives with her 2 children in her mother's house which does not need rent.  Paid off already.   She is 30 and her 2 children are: 13 and 6.

I wouldn't mind living in the Pedregal area - but definitely not in San Javier or Manrique!!

I've been to Pedregal to visit the family of one of my wife's former workers and it was a working class neighborhood. It would not be a good idea for a gringo to live there.

Gato, you have been to the Coast too right? How would you compare the two in terms of quantity and quality of the available women out there? How about in terms of manners, personalities, and "vibe"? How was the city in general compared to BAQ?

I have only been to Santa Marta  (did not go to Cartagena as originally planned).  There is nothing to do in BAQ except for the carnival.  I wasn't looking at other women while with my novia    To be honest, I did not see much women in Santa Marta as there were many tourists as we spend time on Roderdalo Beach and Tayrona National Park for the day.

There are more friendlier people in Santa Marta - more than in Medellin  (family, family friends do not count).

I have been to Bogota before, but the women aren't as friendly as in Cali.

having stayed in Manrique for a couple of days, I would have to agree, it is not the place that I would care to live in Medellin, I still like Laureles, Belin or Santa Monica as places to live and/or retire
