My girl came home today and told me that after a 3 minute interview she was approved for her K-1 visa. She was almost crying it was awesome.

Planning on the end of june so shes here for the 4th of July. We lucked out they did the fee increase for visa's effective june 4th we were able to reschedule to the 3rd and didnt have to pay the extra $200.00

I almost never read back on old posts, but for whatever reason, I went back over yours. I was reading about the first trip that didn't end up happening, the eventual trip that did, etc.

Not to say that those who rush things won't have them work out after all, but it was nice to see how you did things and it seems like things are going to work out.

It's nice to see a situation like yours, one where we don't find ourselves worrying too much about how things are going to work out as they unfold and giving advice that some guys really don't want to hear. Sounds like you'll make it for the long haul!

I'm really happy for you guys!

Thanks Rob its cool of you to say that. Me and my girl both really felt the strain of being apart so long but in the end it was all worth it.

I believe that fiancee visa petitions are processed at either the California or Vermont service centers.

I was basing what I posted based on Kansas being posted as Crash's state, but I'm no expert!
I remember our Georgia based K1 being bounced between Texas and California, due to case overloads, but hopefully all that's better now...

Yea, Evolt--The getting the guys ready for the trip is kind of like work in a way here. 'paying it forward' if you will....

Then when they take the trip, hearing about it is rewarding--always interesting, bringing back memories of our own trip/s usually-- but there's nothing like that first time!

But the first days, months and even year or so after she gets here are also really interesting too, with some tense, as well as some hilarious moments as well, so do everyone here a favor and keep sharing!
