The day of the reputable agencies in Cali is long gone.

If you do enough reading on this web site and www.gringos.com you will find that Ricardo at ACG will take your money and promise you all kind sof service...but rarely will deliver.

the last good agency in cali closed down some time last year, the ones that are left,  are all about getting $$$ out of you, as dennislevy  posted, unless a new one has popped up recently that we do not know about.

My understanding is there still is a couple small ones left, but the big ones closed up shop not long after my trip down. During the day you always have the mall. Outside of that where you hang out depends a little bit on what age group you are targeting. I was targeting those at the end of their college courses or young professionals.

You can use any agency as long as you don't pay until they deliver on a date.

I was looking for girls in their late 20's and dont have any children is that too much to ask?I was thinking using the Colombian soul mates. They just required a $100 deposit and balance due upon arrival.

Matrix,

Without knowing too much about you, late 20’s no kids is not an unreasonable expectation.  Usually I had already talked to an agency before I booked my flight.  If that is the route you are determined to go, then you had better get on it quick now. I don’t know the current status of agencies in Cali.  I just clicked onto the All Colombian Girls website, and that seems to be up and running.  You might call their number and see if they are still doing business.  In my experience they were a so-so agency, a significant percentage of gals will not show up for dates, but there are some gals that are really decent, so it is a crapshoot with them and you should choose to meet a LOT of gals.  In the past, you could go into ACG and make a deal for a per date price if you want to.

You can always utilize hi5 on the web, it is sorta like a myspace for latinas.  If you are not feeling good about your options you can call the airline and see what other cities they fly to in Colombia and pay to change your flight, if the airline is willing.  Barranquilla has a good agency, and there is a frequent poster here who has an agency in Medellin that is likely pretty good too, and I have heard that Bogota has a pretty good agency or two.

Good luck with the ladies,

   Matrix,
I'm not going to get into agencies and make a long winded post about your "options",but why do you have an interest in Cali?

Damn, sounds like this whole thing has gotten quite a bit more difficult over the last 15 years!  The feminazi IMBRA police are apparently winning.

I think the (really) old advice about learning Spanish has become even more important.  If you know Spanish well enough, you don't need any agency support.

There are other cities in Colombia that you might like other than Cali.

I was sort of interested in what agencies had to offer, but I realized I could probably screw things up just as much on my own and save money to wit. I think agencies actually narrow things down to where there's a bit of a fish bowl effect. Better working the internet and cultivating personal connections you can expand upon, if you have the latter. It takes longer, but you meet a wider and perhaps better, variety of people.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

I am in Cali now and have three agency comments. Allcolombian girls is now located accross the street from the Carrefour that is next to Chipichape. Ricardo the owner lives there and there is a spare bedroom for a visiting client. There is an adequate reception and office area where two guys could carry out interviews at the same time without being in each others way. I met one of the "new" girls there. She was as pretty or prettier than her photo and arrived on time (probobly because she is new). Second comment is I bumped into Luz Amparo, ower of Latin Best. Apparently she was in the US for a while but is back now and says she is starting up her agency again. Apart from those two there is one other functioning agency that I am aware of. It´s called Colombian Soul Mates and is operated by an American. It´s located in an area called La Luna which is sort of mid town.
