Oh naturalization, at first I thought that it was going to be a neuroscience question.
I like your questions Sean! I have to agree with Ray on this one!

Hey Rob,

Very close...I believe the correct answer in Spanish would be "Que será será."
"Whatever will be, will be."  ;D

Yes, that's right Robert.

 :D :D :D :D You idiots!

I was going to ask if it's still alright to use the current form that says it expired 12-31-09, but I looked on the website site and it says I can.

Just to double check....I only need the money order, the form and 2 passport style photos to send in.  Yes?

Sean,

Don’t you read the freaking instructions you idiot?

Filing fee of $595 + $80 biometric fee = $675.

You also have to send:

2 passport photos

A photocopy of her Green Card (both sides)

A photocopy of your birth certificate

A photocopy of your marriage certificate

Photocopies of any divorce decrees

Evidence of your valid marriage: tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, etc.

The instructions can be easily done wrong.  I had to look and look for a mysterious "guide" to see if I needed to send anything else.  I finally found it though.  The link above to the instructions to the form does not state the other things, just to look in a "guide" to see if you need anything else and it doesn't tell you where it's at.  I guess they thought it would be fun to make it a scavenger hunt.

Thanks.

It can be a nebulous process and yes, the instructions aren't perfectly clear. That's why they have at USCIS, a phone menu that allows you to spend hours bouncing around to try getting a clear answer (only to end up as clueless where you started) from a live person who can't tell you his/her name or location  but that they're looking at the same info on the computer screen as you! (and to wait patiently by the mailbox!) don't forget the umbrella.....!

Actually, with USCIS, we used to do almost the opposite as the phone menu said to and would get a live person. When I got frustrated, I'd practice nailing slabs of jello to the wall.
Actually--working the fiance visa process is not as hard as I convinced myself it was--I read stuff into the details that wasn't really there, confusing myself and procrastinated.
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

HUH? What a load of whiny BS!

After all of these years involved with the immigration process, and you can’t find a simple link to A Guide to Naturalization?

Mysterious guide?? Come on man, it’s right in front of your nose! Here, look at the right side of this screen and you and any other idiot will see the link…. DUH!

And always, before you send in money--the 'packet'--whatever at whatever step of the journey, I always check to see if they've changed the fees, instructions--- at the last minute. I remember when they did that with the profile view angle on passport pictures and they often increase fees.

Sometimes I think they throw dice with letters and numbers on them from a yahtzee cup onto a ouiji board and that's how it's done......
