Merry Christmas you two self-important knuckleheads.  :D Two weeks after my woman was here, I was bored with all the, 'wow I should get a Colombian woman too' BS.  It is of no relevence "the look" in outsiders eyes.  In 3 months you could be once again 'that crazy guy who brought a honduran' here and sent her back.  All that matters is how the two of you get along, all the superficial reactions of others can be noted but given no weight as it is of no importance.

Seasons Greetings ‘researcher’

First you said that you disagreed with my pompous statement(s) and now you whine that it causes a 'ruckus' to provide an example for your original statement.  At second glance it appears you now agree with my 'pompous statement' and it seemed hard for you to just tell the truth the first time!

TIMELINE:

At first there were so many pompous statements you asked me to help you find one.

Now as it turns out, there wasn't one pompous statement that you could even state you disagreed with! Now let me know if I can help you clarify your thoughts some more! ;D

Greetings 'researcher'
It is funny how easily you allow yourself to get worked up by my initial comment here which by your own admission is completely valid.    I really don’t know if you are a ‘complete idiot’ (although you might be.)  I just thought maybe a little naïve and sad….I am going to conclude that your statement about me being an idiot is based out of anger, as my post was rational and clearly not a post from an idiot…although who knows how you define idiot, maybe anybody who calls your silliness on the carpet is an idiot in your mind!

I still stand by my original statement which was “All that matters is how the two of you get along, all the superficial reactions of others can be noted but given no weight as it is of no importance.”

Would you two get a room, already!?! I can't believe you have taken this thread over to promote this kind of silly grab ass back and forth...hopefully everything after FTs first post about what was really important (and the last post to make any sense), will be stripped and placed in the flame room or file 13, or where ever that stuff goes...

Bcc, congrats on getting your girl here. May this be the first of many Christmases you two will share together!

She seems pretty good with kids. I've always been decent about getting the little bastards to behave when I've had to watch them... but the little boys and girls seem quite enamored with her.

One cousin wouldn't share a new toy with his sister and I swear the look was priceless she gave the kid. Just how much crap everyone owns has been a surprise for her. Plus all the stuff everyone is giving her.... oh I thought you'd need this... and this is a must have, etc. I could just tell she was thinking... yes how'd I ever survive without all this until now  ::). LOL

Poor girl didn't get a moment of peace today. Well after dinner my mom was feeling sorry for her and made an excuse to get her away from the extended family.

She sleeps pretty damn well though. Well so do I now that the wait is over.

Well, Soltero long time no see. I really don't know or care what ft is babbling about. After reading one exchange that you and he had I have decided that he no longer has anything pertinent to say so I try to at least humor the poor guy but if getting a room with him is what it takes to shut him up then count me out!

Whether you care or not is irrelevant.  You have responded to me 5 times on this thread so it certainly seems obvious that ‘you care’ for some reason..  With all those responses you have changed your story several times and never really explained what ‘pompous’ statement you disagreed with.   You are proving to be very wishy-washy as your silly statements are challenged.

I've found that this enfatuation wears off after a few months.  She will have to have substance behind however it is she is handling the interloping kids.  For now, enjoy the grace period.

Well, that's easy for you to say, but instead of having everyone try to separate out all the hijacked BS from the original thread topic, how about if you simply do us all a favor and cut the BS out yourself? Or maybe start a new thread in the flame room?

I think that would make it easier on everyone.

Just an idea...   :-*

Thanks!

Once again ‘researcher’ your silly avoidance of the subject and failure to post anything substantive is boring everybody else to tears.  I don’t know why you need my help to sort out the issue you brought up. ::)  You say you disagree with several of my ‘pompous’ statements.  You have had an opportunity to bring them up specifically and debate them, yet you continue to delay, claim confusion, and now huff & puff that you don’t care, all the while telling other posters not to read the thread.  The only one confused is you.  I still don’t comprehend why having a truthful discussion about an issue is so difficult for you to understand.

Yeah, I agree with Ray. This thread is supposed to be about the lady's first Christmas in the new country and their being reunited after waiting for her visa, how they're getting along, family reactions, how she handles the cold weather, stuff like that. I figure that if a couple is willing to share those experiences for the benefit of others trying to take the same path, the least they deserve is not to have their messages and the congratulatory  responses and legitimate suggestions and questions of interested well-wishers spoiled by a private fight. Y'all go start a new thread in the flame room.

I agree that this thread started out as a feel good kind of thread. But it's denigrated into an extended pissing match that's going no where.

I am as guilty as any of hijacking threads, although that's not uncommon here. But we usually try not to get negative for too long.

Maybe it's just how I took it, but >>Merry Christmas you two  knuckleheads.    :D << didn't seem like an attack to me on Bcc and his gal--semed to me like more of a tongue in cheek kind of statement with some personal experience thrown in. Sometimes we write more into 'stuff' than there is.

Regardless, it then took on a nasty little, (although ongoing) life of it's own.

Notice the word "Xmas' in the thread's title? Let's try and rise above and roll with a better spirit.

Seems like most agree it's long overdue to be taken elsewhere, or in the spirit of the title and season, >>She'll be home for Xmas<<, letting bygones be bygones.

It's not like anyone attacked your family, so it shouldn't kill anyone to walk away.

If all else fails, feel free to do what others have done when I tried to break up fights. Just quit slagging each other and attack me instead! Usually it's real easy to make up after that. But--let's go in another room to do it....

Happy Holidays!

Robert
