Do I expect her exclusive attention? Sorta yes but not required and only because she says that she isn't talking or interested in talking to anyone else. Its not about $30.00, come on.It is about her doing as she says she is doing.

My experiences here is that users are to get help on learning the culture and and how to watch for scams and tricks, maybe an introduction, create some friendships and support groups.  But when it comes to personal specifics of what's important to you and how you make your decisions, say nothing, unless you want to be criticised and chastised because you threw it out there.

Everyone does something to "test" what's important to them because of the multiple additional aspects of marrying out-of-country and our own personal fears, but to tell others is to open yourself up for criticism.  CBear mentioned a few quirks he had which meant nothing to his lady in the way it did to guys here and he literally was drummed from the board.  [BTW, he is in the hospital for pancretitus(sp?).]  Almost ran me off 10 years ago for similar.  Personally, I think if you were to discuss it with you wife after you got the results you hoped for and told her you did it to confirm and secure your belief this marriage would work, you might find she'd be thrilled because you just secured her future.  I'd be suspicious of anyone who says they didn't do something that appeared quirky to the rest of us.

You doing alright.

My only thoughts on the subject is if a guy feels the need to 'Test' or investigate a girl then in my opinion that is his gut telling himself that something does not feel or seem right. In other words its a big red flag that should not be ignored - if you find yourself feeling the need to test someone then it is time to move on to the next girl.

We're ALL going to get tested, one way or another, sooner or later, probably repeatedly.

When I was staying in Davao City at the Apo View hotel he first time, I would get my now wife into a taxi cab at about 1:00--2:00 AM every night and send her back to her boarding house--she didn't want to set a bad example to others by staying overnight.

No sooner had the cab disappeared, than would several hookers come strolling over. I'd make some small talk back to them--(they all semed to have a relative somewhere in the states and thought I might live close by) and while politely declining their offers--which over time became 'free' offers, still treating them like they were fellow humans.

This was my TEST--I had NO idea that there was a plainclothes cop who had been watching me closely for several weeks. My wife has four, strapping strong brothers. The cop told them how I had been approached many times by a lot of women, but had never taken one in.

Had Carmelo, Calbert, CD or CJ heard otherwise, I might not be here writing!
Whether you think you can or think you can't--you're right!

“Drummed from the board”?? Not quite!

Actually, he couldn’t debate in a civil manner and instead made an ass of himself by insulting other members’ wives and girlfriends while resorting to silly name-calling. Then he tried to play the victim game and ran off with his tail between his legs.

Unfortunately I do not believe you have changed much in the last two years here. You may read but you have difficulties in listening to what advice is presented to you. A review of the Fil china colombia thread you began  is illustrative. It is very clear that there is no interest in the culture or society of the woman, apparently just her ass will do.

And after all the talk, you are looking for a Fil? You may well just crash and burn and if you do, you are right, it will be your decision.

You are probably one of the guys I would send off to Patpong for some seasoning but what the hey- good hunting to you anyway.

Of all the members here, I personally have a dislike for you. You have a continious sarcastic and sinical attitude which just irritates me to the bone. I truly hope that your attitude is different in public than as when you are hiding behind a screen.

With that being said, I do know that you have experienced alot in your search and I have much to learn and gain from reading your posts when you are not giving sarcasism. I have listened to all advice given to me. Just because I choose to not follow your line of thinking only illistrates that fact that I am a free thinker. This search that we all take part in isn't some cookie cutter process. If it was, a book would have been written illustrating the steps A-Z and we would all be happily married but it's not that simple. Each search is different and indivigualized.
I'm not how you come to the conclusion that I'm not interested in the culture or soceity of women. Just because I do not post every move I make doesn't mean I didn't make the move. I'm very interested in the culture and traditions. I have watched countless videos on youtube about PH food, traditions and overall life. I need to be able to assist in easing the transition to my life and customs here while nuturing her current ones. I have found PH organizations that she can take part of here to be able to relate to things and have some of the "back home" feelings and friends here. I know where the Asian groceries are to help shop and continue her diet of traditional PH foods.I've countless articles and visited websites about PH culture, travelling to PH, meeting parents and not offending family.
Now if you think I am not intereseted still because I asked a personal opinion of women from different cultures regarding physical appearance AND relationship( you seem to miss tha) your wrong.

I won't crash and burn. It isnt an option to me. I will do it right and if I fail, I won't be here blaming all of you. I'll blame me.

Actually no- I keep the same attitude in public because I can. Sarcasm works wonderfully in getting points actross without wasting words on explanations for idiots. It also is a great way of spreading humor!!! Dont care whether you listen or not either-you are too full of yourself, which is why I seldom waste words with you. The words are directed more to those who might read you and think that you have it together.

So- I wont hold my breath waiting for that christmas card from you. And here I thought you had lost my address. . .  :'( :'( :'(

Folks- in general. At least pick a continent for your search. If you cant at least figure out which land mass to be searching on, slow down. If you have the complete and total arrogance to run tests and experiments on your potential future mate, then perhaps a cat or dog would be more appropriate for you. If you are one of those really really frugal guys around here, then perhaps lab mice would be up your alley.

Thats funny. You have posted to most every post I ever had. More so the ones that give you a chance to be arrogant. Check your facts.

Most guys will see you are a sarcastic controlling, and weak man. Obviously your wife must be very tolerate. If these guys are an idiot then they will forget all about me and listen to you. Hopefully, they are open minded enough to read all make THEIR OWN DECISIONS.

Well i'm only looking at one land mass. As far as the "testing" part, that has been brought up more times than I could mention for years. This is by new and old members. Maybe you could get a deciding answer and we all can just stick with that. Obviously if anyone does something that is against your opinion then they are wrong.

OMIGOD!!!!! 4 friends in the world. . . .  my heart. . . . ugghhhh. . . . I need a paramedic, without PMS please.

Never mind, it was only gas. Being one of the largest producers of methane west of the mississsippi has its downside.

ANyway glasshopper. . . .there is not a right or a wrong way but there are ways of higher percentages of successs for each country and society. If you want to reinvent the wheel, then go right ahead. And if you are successful in a 1% method, then good for you. Example- marrying a known teenage prostitute that you paid for that first date. Just dont go telling all the new guys that you have found a freethinking man's approach because it is still 1%.

BTW- just for your information, having an anger management issue is not freethinking at all but may have been a reason why you are currently single. (This would make a good mail order bride fortune cookie fortune)

That will be a huge mistake! It is better that she only associates with a few Filipinas of good character and not get involved with Imelda Marcos wannabees! You being a Kano is already a huge strike against her!!!

We went to one Filipinas home for a party a few months after Honey got here and the hostess (in a private conversation with Honey) pointed out the ladies who were divorced and made the mistake of saying Honey would be just like them in 2-3 years.  Honey asked me shortly after if we could leave then refused to have anything to do with that group again.  She immediately told me that those were "bad" girls and she didn't want to go there again.  I always thought it was pretty controlling to want to have a say about who my wife's friends were (being afraid of some of the users who just use AMs to get here and then take off or make the guys life a nightmare) but Honey showed me my choice of her was awesome because her standards are even tougher than mine.  For years she got moody when we went to "our crowds" homes and I couldn't figure out why.  Turned out it was because she thought they were all "bad" girls and I found out she was right.  We also later found that of her "crowd" back home the girls who were not part of the "in" group were the ones who were virgins on their wedding days and those of the "in" group all have children and aren't married (many asking me to help them find husbands in the USA because no Filipino wants them for anything other that sex)?  I like the ladies she hangs with now.  They are a bit further from home but no "judging" each other or encouraging problems.

Dave, where did you get that pizza from?
One day down the road, I would like one (or two) of these babies for my girl & her family.

Since my girl is in the Metro manila area, someone told me I should check out Calda Pizza in Mandaluyong City.

Calda Pizza is the place! I have found it best to order during non-peak hours since a 36" pizza takes up a whole oven rack (only 4 racks at my outlet) and around 30 minutes to bake. We don't have delivery in my area. So when I dine in or take out, I always go before noon, after 1 PM and before 3 PM snack time, and between 4 PM and 5 PM or on rainy days. People like to hang out there to be seen (outside dinning) so evenings are usually out in my area. Here is their menu. You will have to check their delivery area. http://embedit.in/kajOhyzTVj The #4 Hawaiian seems to go over big with most Filipinas.

William, I haven't displayed anger here but rather replied with sarcastic remarks just as you did.

As far as searching on 3 continents, I'm not. I was looking at 3 continents initially until I determined what type of women that I wanted and where that I found it most likely to meet her at.The Phillipines is where I decided that place to be.

I don't really care to spend my time on this website bickering with you or to turn my thread into something that it is not.

Thank you for your helpful comment about associations of Filipinas that it wouldn't be a good idea to do this. Very useful. The Filipinas hear and in this association are mostly like her, married to an American and usually a soldier. Overall, they're attitude should be similar to hers but I do understand that this can change with time in America. If she does come here, I'll be sure to go with her a few times to get the feel of the place.

I haven't been here in a few weeks but things continue to go very well for us. We have spoken a few times on the phone and the conversation goes very well. She is excited for a visit but is concerned that she is pushing me. Actually, she hasn't been pushy at all, says it will happen when it does and looks forward to it.
Her English is excellent. She speaks very clearly and actually sounds like a slight Latin accent. She is educated and degreed and works for an American company doing customer support over the phone. Nothing glamorous but it pays the bills and allows her to put a few dollars away.

She apoligized to me for saying the word " rude" in describing someones behavior as if it was a bad word. I found that to be pretty funny but it does show  that she is a good girl again.
