What was your longest without any knowledge or see your wife/fiancee/gf?

I want to know if anyone had survived without any form of communication for days?  If so , why was it?

I have been separated from my wife for over a year with no communications at all often for over a month, and then it was only letters that were weeks old.

Guess what? Nobody died, nobody went insane, and the relationship only grew stronger.

If your relationship is strong and your love for one another is genuine, then a little time apart without communicating will not kill you.

We talked on the phone daily and left emails occasionally, but the longest we went without seeing each other was 6 months. Established relationships should stand the test of time and distance. However in the beginning, staying in touch is very important. My wife told me later that after the trip that we met, she gave me 2 weeks to contact  her after my return home. If she didn't hear from me,  she would write me off. Lucky for me I am one of those guys who likes to talk to my wife everyday and she never went more than 3 days without hearing from me. Most skipped days were due to issues with the phone lines.

About me and my prometida

Met her via ColombianCupid.com shortly after my birthday in August.
Spend 3-5 times a week talknig to her via MSN and webcam.
Met her in OCTOBER  (2 1/2 months after our initial; meeting on ColombiaCupid)

After that 3-5 times a week - same as before
Met her for the 2nd time in mid-DECEMBER for her birthday plus Trade Show in Bogota
After that 3-5 times a week except for the New Year - Internet Cafe closed

6 days without knowing until 4th January - longest so far
2 times a week in January because of her new job
Then 5 times a week in February and March
Met her for the 3rd time in MARCH

Arrived home on the 24th ....  She found a new job, working full time plus overtime and 7 days a week

Spoke with her:
25th March
27th March
28th March

1st April
6th April  (5 days later)
14th April (8 days later)
24th April (10 days later)

Now I am on 13th day without knowing ....

The longest that I have gone without physically seeing my fiancee is about 5 months although we spoke on the phone twice a day and chatted on-line several times everyday during that time as well - so it was not that big a deal.

at least you chatted on-line several times everyday.... I have not chatted online for 13 days so far.  3 months without seeing her LIVE (webcam not included) is long enough for me at the moment, but no online chat for 13 days is too long for me!!

We saw each other once every 6 months or so - she came here in the summers and I there in the winters, we sent letters about once a week and spoke on the phone about once a month. This went on for 2-1/2 years until she moved here for good.

It was much easier 15 years ago than it is now unfortunately.  Technology has moved faster now so are our patients!!!

I wrote to a girl 15-20 years ago and received once every 3 weeks.  I was very patient then.  Now everything is different!!

If they take your computer, mobile phone, cable TV away and try to live like it was 20 years ago, imagine how you live now!!

What would you say to  almost 3 years of no physical contact?

The one good thing I can say is, because of the distance you are more receptive to a person's change in attitude, feelings and emotions.

To me communication is the key and if you make it habit to call your significant other as much as you can,  you wont feel the brutal distance. And like Utopia said the web cam action can be fun  .

On the other hand if  you establish hours to meet and the other person keeps on not showing up some might even call it a sign of a red flag.

If with "SCHIWING"  you mean  NEXT===>> Yeah maybe... for some.. But after all the time invested in the process and being 200% sure that you are the right ppl for eachother some have considered waiting and keeping the love alive!!!

We webcam/talk every week and I go down there (Peru) every 90 days. An advantage to living in Florida.
