You have such a kind heart to hire her back.   Even though she was the most dishonest person you have met. Please

The first time she was with me was about 1-2 months so I did not have that appraisal of her until knowing her better the second go around.

I used Jaime's a while back and yes, alot of Visa hunters there. It's also way over priced if you asked me.I may end up with a green card girl but at least I won't be paying a fortune to meet her.JR
How about providing us more details of why you said this?
What service did you used?
How many girls did you contact and how many gave you this impression?

Not t keep harping on this subject, but there are many people that have used your service that do not post on any forum. Some good and some bad. I have a great friend who is Cuban American and he used your agency and met a women who came right out and told him that she only wanted a Visa and when he went to you and told you this , your response was and I quote" That might be true, but she gets a lot of dates and brings a lot of business to my agency" End Quote. My friend was disgusted with you and if anyone wants to PM me, I will give you his email or phone # and you can get the real perspective of how this business is run. I agree if you find your wife there, who really cares, but this goes to the way a business is run in general and the integrity of the owner. Actually, this person has two years left until retirement and is going to open an agency in Barranquilla that will compete with you and This guy will have the best agency in Colombia hands down because his character is unquestionable.

I would never say anything like this or anything close to this, you or your friend are lying. If you and his character were unquestionable why was it not brought up at the time with the details. Instead I get no name, no time frame just more secrecy. It’s great the guy is going to start an agency, but that hardly make him an unbiased source regarding another agency.

Have the guy come here and post his story he can start building on his exemplary character.

As for visa hunters very few women are like this. Unless they have connections in the States the vast majority of women would not know what to do in the Untied States. Now there are a lot of foreign women that would like to take advantage of men and receive gifts and payments, but most of those women would prefer to stay in their home country.

When we learn from our own experience with a woman that she has strong desires to leave the country or to live in a particular country we let the man know so he can decide how to weigh this in.

What woman as was described by your friend would outright say, “I only want a visa.” If this was her intentions wouldn’t she conceal such thoughts in order to trick the man? Do you think that her strategy was I am going to tell this man I am going to use him and he is going to accept being used and I am going to get what I want? Amazing.

This guy also wants us to believe that I would say to a client, yes she only wants a visa but she is making me money so screw you. You believe I or anyone else is going to admit this to a customer that we are trying to screw you? You believe I am going to make money by telling clients this? Wouldn’t it make sense for a dishonest owner to conceal this instead of outright telling the client the girl is making me money so I don’t care that the girl wants to use you? Again, amazing the trash that I have to respond to. And this is coming from a guy who believes one of my ex-employees is "very sincere" when she was actually one of the most deceptive persons I have ever met who also dated another poster to this thread, yea she didn’t get around.

Again please have the guy come here and post all the details. As well as answer my questions.

I stand by what my friend says because he told me this when he was in Barranquilla and how you dissmissed his complaint .I believe my friend, not an owner trying to contain and maintain his business.

So you are saying he is not going to post here and you’re not going to respond to my questions that demonstrated the probability of an owner or a girl stating what you quoted are highly unlikely to have been said or would be in the best interest of deceptive parties to say.

What’s new, anyone who follows your post would see when you are challenged to provide facts and back up what you say nothing more is heard from you. You are just one of a handful of non-clients who attempt to antagonize and hold grudges against me, I can only assume due to hurt feelings from previous postings exchanges that we have had that you took offense to. Maybe you should grow up and just get over it. Instead you want to provide an example, which is an obvious lie, when you were in Barranquilla, how many years ago?

You could always invite him to post. What’s he scared of this is a safe place? He’s not scared of the same thing you are is he, answering questions?

KB,

I am a little confused. I do not see anyone giving any agency owner "a pass" here. Quite the contrary.

When these things get to this point - how about we take it into the "Court" forum, where there are some clear rules of engagement that allows each party to have their 'say' in a controlled format - and then, the membership becomes the 'jury' to declare an outcome?

I see this as the most equitable manner to resolve disputes - and then, the disputes do not 'take over' the rest of the board.

Would this work for you?

- Dan

Sorry for being late to the response Jaimie gave my post.  First my point was no one is perfect.  Myself I am all jacked up.  As for the person who told me about your treatment of your workers her name started with an R.  The way you treat your workers there, you would never be able to do in the USA.  You agreed in your post that you do yell, and then put your spin on it.  But i don't know first hand you do this but she was an employee of yours at the time.  She eventually left.  Now I think she is in Venezuela.  This was around Feb 07.  I was considering using your agency at the time because the other agency I wasn't able to find a woman I was looking for.  So i asked around about your agency, and the others that were in BAQ at the time.  I also received second hand accounts from other people (Colombians) that corroborated what R said.  And you have a bad temper because Sean asked you privately a couple times not to  use his real name.  You decided to be a piss ant about it and continue to do it.  Now all in all you get very good reviews on this site all of the time and for many years.  You far more than anyone else have received great reviews but your recent activity is putting you in a bad light.  I don't really want to get into a pissing contest with you.  I reserve that time spent on our favorite UAW representative in another city.  I only wanted to point out to Sean that you nor anyone else is worth leaving the board for.  Your not perfect, Sean is not perfect, and I am all jacked up

Peace

I’ve been a supervisor in college and either a manger, executive or business owner in the States all my life so I know what I am doing in a work environment when it comes to getting people to perform. The person you are speaking of was not a translator but did work for me and did move to Venezuela, but she returned due her dissatisfaction with work. She requested her old job back, but it was no longer available. I personally could care less if someone’s style was to yell. I have never had a boss yell at me and don’t feel it’s my style either. For someone to say I have a bad temper is only amusing. Let me tell you a story. I met an American here in a restaurant and we were sharing our similar businesses experience working with Colombians. And he put it this way. If I was at a Colombian party and got a phone call that my house was on fire and I said I had to go the general reaction would be, relax, you don’t need to go now we are at a party, take it easy, what’s the rush. Those who react fast, take action, get it right and make it happen are considered “intense.” While they may consider this a bad trait I consider it a complement.

And you have a bad temper because Sean asked you privately a couple times not to  use his real name.  You decided to be a piss ant about it and continue to do it.
You must not have read my reply to your first post. I did not know he did not want me to use his name. Dan has the details, which is why I am posting now. I don’t know why you would rush to judgment without knowing the full story.

Now all in all you get very good reviews on this site all of the time and for many years.  You far more than anyone else have received great reviews but your recent activity is putting you in a bad light.
And I have been hearing this for many years and I am not concerned. Otherwise I would not be posting like this as I have for many years. If my purpose was to sell than I would rarely post, I would stay away from any controversy, I would be extra careful, helpful, and kind and I would not bring up any topics that would hurt my business interest as I have done many times. I am here to state my opinions and experiences as you. If someone wants to bring up a complaint about my business on a public forum I have no objections to that either. For some reason you and others feel I should not be in equal standing to everyone else in terms of what I say and how I say it. When Mark was contradicting your experience with his service you took the time to dispute him and present your position. Why do you object to me doing the same? And if someone considers that this puts me in “bad light” I could care less. I am not here selling to you or to anyone else.

I only wanted to point out to Sean that you nor anyone else is worth leaving the board for.  Your not perfect, Sean is not perfect, and I am all jacked up.

First off Sean laid out his position on you using his first name.  Second do you think I am retarded.  you do care about what people say about you and your business.  YOU more than any other agency in Colombia have received many clients because of this board.  many people give your agency rave reviews, and many have recommended people use your agency.  It is not your only source of attracting clients but you do receive many from recommendations from writers on this board.  Third just because R asked for her old job back doesn't make you a saint.  Jobs are limited in Colombia.  Lastly I like how you generalize all Colombians work ethic.  Generally all my experiences with any Colombian performing a service for me has been more than favorable.  Now you have to train them to work to what you need in your business.  But it's your agency do what you want.  I am no expert but I know that treating workers like crap is not the way to go.  They tend to quit,  and some will steal from you, but you know that already.

First off Sean laid out his position on you using his first name.
Yes, he laid out his position on this thread after I had used his name on another thread and before I knew he did not want me do so. This is my second explaination, I used his name before I knew of his objection. If this is such a concern for you, why didn’t he in that thread simply ask me not to use his name? He did not do this did he? I had no idea someone who shows photos of himself and his wife would not want to be called by his first name. I have no idea how you think calling someone by their first name something I have done in person with him many times is another example of me having a bad temper. Who in their right mind would think calling someone by their first name would be such a malicious think to do. Well I guess you do.

Second do you think I am retarded.  you do care about what people say about you and your business.
I do not care what non-clients say about my business which is where the vast majority of complaints on this forum come from. My biggest critics here are non-clients and that has always been the case. I only care that a true picture is presented regarding a client’s experience. I am more than happy to live with that.

YOU more than any other agency in Colombia have received many clients because of this board.  many people give your agency rave reviews, and many have recommended people use your agency.  It is not your only source of attracting clients but you do receive many from recommendations from writers on this board.
I have never denied this and I am not sure why you are bring this up.

Third just because R asked for her old job back doesn't make you a saint.
I never said I was a Saint I told you told you I treated my employees better than how most employees are treated in Colombia. And I doubt any employer allows as much flexibility as I do with my employees.

Lastly I like how you generalize all Colombians work ethic. Generally all my experiences with any Colombian performing a service for me has been more than favorable.
I do generalize, but I have not talked to an American living in Colombia and conducting business who does not feel as I do. I am expressing my opinion and experience. If one has lower expectations I am sure there experience would be more favorable than those that have higher expectations. Your experience in Colombia is also much more limited than mine.

Now you have to train them to work to what you need in your business.  But it's your agency do what you want.  I am no expert but I know that treating workers like crap is not the way to go.  They tend to quit,  and some will steal from you, but you know that already. .
This is your non-first-hand experience that I treat them “like crap.” Regardless of the work environment the employee is making a decision to stay or not stay based on that work environment and the market place. To say the job market is bad is why they stay and return is a flimsy argument. Couldn’t one say, well everyone else in Colombia is treating them much worst because they won’t even hire them? The people that work for me must perform quality work and get results. They are expected to do and know more than others and if they do not like that culture then they do not belong with me. No one is chained to the office and the door is wide open.

To imply that an employee stealing from me is based on how loud I am is absurd. You are not born a thief based on the actions of your boss. This is how you are from the values that you were taught or not taught and accepted. Employee theft is a problem everywhere, but in some places like Colombia worse than the States. Why do you think some stores in Colombia search their employees from head to toe and even have the employees take their shoes off before leaving work? Is it because the store thinks, oh we have rough bosses so the employees are going to be inclined to steal because of them, but if we had nice bosses we wouldn’t need to search them? I think you need to get real.

I also question your judgment to classify me or anyone based on your decision making. It was you who said something in the nature of, I read a lot of bad reviews about Mark’s agency, but I decided to find out for myself how his service was, and then you write your own bad review. Now with this type of thinking I have to listen to someone who doesn’t know me or has ever seen me at work critique my style and methods? Why didn’t you write a bad review about how you made a bad decision and ignored the advice of others and suffered from it? Instead you want to review me for calling someone by there first name and mistreating employees that along with me and the vast majority you have never met. I also have no idea why you would be with a woman and have any concerns about me. Why would you care to know about me instead of focusing on your date?

Jamie very interesting observation , however where else would someone go to complain ?  If i was a client where could I go to complain ? I am not aware of BBB in Colombia , is there one ?

I believe you missed the fact that I said, “non-clients” not clients. If not why would a non-client have reason to complain about a business they did not use?

Your next question is where would a “client” go to complain. But the quote you took of me above does not say, client it says “non-client”. My point is all of these guys that are attacking me (and I use the word attack because they are not debating me they all refuse to answer my questions or provide any details to support their accusations) either they have never used my services or have used my service and were satisfied and their bases of attack has nothing do with the personal services they received.

Even though you misunderstood what I said my opinion is that this board is an excellent place for guys to share the good and bad experiences they have had using an agency so others can learn and have the information necessary to make the appropriate decision for themselves.

Daytrader you can choose to have people call you names, make false accusations using hearsay and anonymity as their evidence and testimonial and keep quite, but I would rather coherently respond. Why you would object to someone defending themselves is unclear, maybe you can explain? As for Mark the only straining I see would be you finding one resemblance to me.

the first rule in public relations is "pick your fights"
the second rule is pick your weapon - to quote Sean Connery in The Untouchables, "They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *

Your Jeep is deep in the ditch, you lost major credibility when you admitted you yelled at your employees...now Google has got got this in it's teeth and can recycle this for years.

You fall into the exact same pattern here by responding to my post..now I get to arbitrarily pull one of your responses back out and this shows up as a new post and new (or old) eyeballs read it again, thus reinforcing a negative public relations fiasco and regenerating it into a new cycle of eyeballs reading it.

You should have challenged KB or whoever to set this straight privately and offered to call him anytime any place and your response here would be "I'm not going to dignify such second hand rumors by responding to them here.  KB, you can call my office anytime collect or I will offer to call you and clear this up mano to mano.

That's my advice to you now and in the future...don't stoop down to pick up a dime (responding to 2nd hand comments), have someone hand you a hundred dollar bill (turn any negative into a positive, and only respond to paying or past customers only with facts)

Cheers.
