P Daddy is right on the ZZ thing.  It works in the US, not bad in the DR.  Things are already too effed up in Colombia to tempt the Gods.

I have to scoot to Costa Rica until the 8th of December.  By that time, I will have everything ready in the new place.

Who will be in Cali the week of Dec. 9.   Already got you down Cali Pro

Please, Rivardco you are better off doing your own thing, own your own, do not associate with these new found friends above.    Forever you will travel down the wrong path.

Your are on the right road, do not change.

Each of our roads are right for all of us.  I have already laid a ton of pavement for my road.  I am just now traveling on it.  Simple Associations certainly will not affect me  - for good, or bad!

My offer still stands.  In fact, let's make it this weekend too.  Any one who is here, or will be here that is.

That includes you Gringoman.

I have personally talked with Calipro on a number of occasions and find him very knowledgeable about Colombia and the woman.. He is a very grounded person and knows what he wants and does not want.

He offered me very good advice and helped me on my journey to where I am now.. I will be married to my wonderful and sweet and muy bonita Novia in 3 weeks and 4 days..

Speaking about peculiar relationships, "I think gringoman wants Zon Zon for himself"

What about the fricken transvestites!!!!!!  DAMN!!!

I have literally- no exaggeration- followed two women a couple of hundred yards to make an introduction, just to sense "something was not quite right."  I have a VERY good guide / friend/ business partner  who takes pity on me (and seems to understand) as he points out the sexy girl is a "transvester."

I don't even want to wrap my mind about this topic.  But I thought I would just lay a down a marker.  Tranvestites in Cali are hot - nuff said.

I credit my Cherokee ancestors for keeping me in tune with the natural way, and when I see a new woman I am interested in, I won't lie, my approach is akin to a wolf stalking it's prey. My mouth will actually start watering, and the hair on my neck will stand up. Once that kicks in, the Cali transvestites become non-entities like a light switch gets turned off or something! Thank God, because it saved me from having some embarrassing stories to tell about walking up on a dude in a dress off of Avenida Sexta!

You are right, you have to give credit where credit is due. That being said, let's move on... :D

In an effort to move this thread forward, I will post the boring accounts of this day:

1, Want to lunch with Margarita - I love the way she says her name, and she has a laugh that enlivens everyone in her company. She speaks better English than last time - fast improvement.  I could tell she was bright (which is something I have not seen enough of).  She is independent and responsible.  She graduated college and has a good job.

We had chemistry from the first - alot of it. She asked my age, and I said - guess.  She started at age 35 and with each increase there was a tinge of disappointment. She tried to be polite.  I asked her her age again.  She said 26.  I responded by saying she was too old for me.  We both laughed and that issue disappeared.

It is fun and difficult to like someone and have only struggled communication.

2, Shopping in pawn shops.  It is just about what you would expect, but you are only one block away from one of those neighborhoods that makes you feel like fresh meet.  We stopped shopping at twilight and had to go down a couple of roads I would not have chosen.  This is precisely the kind of wrong turn a newbie coming to Cali MUSt be forwarned about.  I  have been in poor / dangerous areas before, but none where the people so vividly have the mixed look of desperation and aggression.

So where were you exactly?

Feel free to send me that phone number anytime you'd like to chat.

I'll be here in Cali the whole month of Dec. so let me know when you want to meet up.

Take care, Calipro

I am with Juan Carlos almost always when running errands like this (even JC comments on how dangerous these areas are).

My house is behind Avenue Sexta district - 5 - 10 minutes away from your place.  Look forward to seeing you in December.

One question...who is watching your back while Juan Carlos is "watching your back"???... ;)

That's right...now throw your fate into the wind and send me your phone number so you can have a drink with PDaddy and Calipro.

Everybody knows that it isn't street crime or the FARC you have to worry about in Cali....It's the crazy gringos that live there. hehehe !!!!

What a shame, as Rivardco, could slowly meanader into mediocracy, with those who have been at it, since the beginning of time.
A lot of knowledge , but no new ground.

Freshness now lost, forever tainted and distorted.

I see your affection for Rivardco grows by the minute :o

So tell me...what do you know about me...really??  I could give you my facebook page address, but  your affection and attention would then turn to me.  Sorry, don't want that... :(

Freshness??  a guy who has Juan Carlos watching his back??  hehehe...okie dokie... :D

guard against the presumption of knowing me, or anyone else for that matter.

Been in Panama and now am in Costa Rica.  Too busy to write a report that has any perspective.

But the freashness thing is a function of observation  not the company one keeps, nor one's business associates.

I also know juan carlos very well and agree with p. daddy.  In fact, I would highly suggest you learn much more about him as quickly as possible.  Who's best interest is important to you?
I have lived in Cali for several months at a time and have visited there 30+ times.
Be CAREFUL who you might think has your back!

Well, I was trying to be subtle about it...

gringoman, there is NOTHING fresh about a gringo being led around Cali by one of the "usual suspect" brand of colombian hustlers... :D

Let us all be blunt.

Being a gringo, one is a target to EVERYBODY.  I doubt this ever fully goes away.  Therefore, all relationships must be structured with eyes wide open to this reality. The key is to be honest with yourself and human nature. Never assume.  I don't.   (and I carry this philosophy through in all my dealing including in the US)

And to pitch in my two cents about Juan Carlos - I have worked with many guys like Juan Carlos all over the world.  He has been nothing short of  exemplary  in his dealings with me, and those who have recommended him to me.  Many of these relationships go back many years.

Everybody has admirers and enemies - especially those that are successful.

Let's see, you speak very little spanish...you are a stranger in cali...time will tell.  I don't consider JC an enemy...but I don't admire him either...and whether he is successful or not, well what is your definition of success??  I for one have never HAD to use someone like JC....I guess you could call that FRESH ;D

But remember, you have been warned... ;)

One more thing...since I see we aren't getting through to you...your dealings with JC might be exemplary from a financial and security standpoint...but my friend, sometimes the TONGUE can do more harm than a pistol in the face, or more harm than a bad deal with a greedy hustler... Of course, with all your worldly experience, you already know this  ;)

If you can show me a colombian that never talks [snip] or spread rumors.....well then I have some sea side property for sale that you might be interested in. Colombians have a tendancy to tell you what they think you want to hear......why he was under the impression at one time that you wanted to hear [snip] about me is still a mystery. LOL !!! And I do believe he has gotten a whole hell of a lot better about gossip over the years.

I don't know of a single guy that has had more dealings with Juan Carlos than me and I can tell you he has never told me a lie, stole money or tried to trick me in anyway and has been invaluable getting all kinds of things done here in Cali.

The only thing that he has done in recent memory that even kind of pissed me off was getting a little too chatty with women that I'm with....but I'm sure I've done some things he didn't like as well.

Just my perspective on the situation.
