Great posts Rivardco. I really enjoyed this whole thread. I think we all should be so lucky as to be able to spend 3 months in Colombia.

I have found the most Russian - like Colombiana in Colombia.

Started out as my Spanish teacher.  Speaks English, French, Spanish.  Studying Japanese. Red hair (died of course), very fashion conscious. Loves sexy shoes as much as me. 100 lbs.  21 years old.

My Spanish is getting better. I have had 5 lifetimes full of sexy party girls.  I am enjoying my days in a different way.  I am getting more work done than before

However, if you know only a little Spanish and have no trusted contacts, I don't think it would be a good idea just to fly, rent a car, get a map, and drive around to have a look see.  Could anybody with real experience disagree with that?

Ciao

I would have to agree.  As my MO I always try to establish contacts or have a wingman anyplace that I go from the local area that I trust.  Although I have been to Colombia 6 or more times and I have felt comfortable in every city that I have been in, I still adhere to this rule when traveling there.

Getting George Clooney's teeth hurts like hell.  I have just spent 3 days at the dentista's, 2 hours per visit  (and nothing was really wrong with my teeth in the first place).

But  I have a great relationship developing with my dentista.  She is very kind and we like each other a little bit.

The more activities one has to meet women in natural settings like this, the more can develop.  Colombia is an environment where this kind of opportunities are very very rich.

This is what I wonder about when everyone speaks about the excellent doctors in Colombia.  I have had a root canal, an extraction, and a crown before and I really didn't feel any pain at all.  Do you have to trade cost for pain in Colombia?

I continue to enjoy the great post and your reflections. Would you say that the lack of intelligence as you state is limiting your ability for a long term commitment regarding daily/interesting communication?

Also ...many men find Asian women to be slightly submissive in nature in the male/female roles. Have you found this to be true also with a culture with so much Machismo from the men?

Frankly, I became disillusioned; primarily as a result of little intellectual connection.

Then, quite accidentally, I found MUCH in one.

I was not necessarily ready (how can we really be).  But, I have the sobriety to see an excellent inner beauty.  The great numbers of physically beautiful women available to me in Cali becomes a very small when filtered through lenses of:
1, trust and honesty (when it is real, there is not guesswork)
2, intelligence
3, chemistry
4, personality compatibilities.

I am proud to have gone 1000% in performance while not being captured by excess (no small accomplishment).  I have decided to accept what I have found honestly and fully.  We will see where this goes.

I am lucky.

Despite my best efforts to move slowly, the heart follows its own course.

So, a pretty interesting visit to Cali, all in all.  I have made many good friends.  I have seen this city inside and out (many times).  I have had more fun than I could have hoped for.  I have met tons of girls that showered me with interest.  And, I met one woman I take seriously.  Oh yeah ... my Spanish is finally improving, and fast.

I would call that a success.

===============

It is FUN to wonder about changing your dating pool from USA to another location. It is exciting to exchange a rather bad environment for a rather good one.  The prospecting is fun (many men realize this and never move beyond it).

But, when you find a woman in which you are interested, and she you.  It is the same thing as your as any relationship (except of course the woman is likely more young, beautiful, and respectful :)  The challenge then for the man is not to F it up.

So, the FUN part is over for me.  The Real Fun Part / Hard Part begins.

I have though often about how to close this trip report.

I spent almost a half of year in Cali.  It was a great experience for me in many many ways.  I read Herman Hesse's Stepenwolf before I left the USA.  I lived it over and over again.  In the end, I found myself anew.  WOW, great, important time.

I started a couple of businesses ... www.CastleCali.com is a nice bed and breakfast  and is able to assist those wanting to explore Cali for sure.  It is located in a very nice area.  the management is very very up to speed.  I can not imagine anyone being dissatisfied.

I met many good friends.  Some Americanos in Cali are important and very helpful.  Make sure you try to hook up with Calipro - he is a great guy - and knows the score.  Also, got to give Blues Brothers a plug as a safe harbor for Americanos - James is GREAT.  Tell him Zon Zon sent you and he will buy you a Poker :)

AND GOD THE WOMEN !!!!!  They just did not stop.  For days, weeks, and months.

AND THE GOOD TIMES !!!!  I had more fun in one week than most guys in the USA have in a decade.

I FOUND ADVENTURE !!!!  The night life; the surrounding nature is amazing

AND I  BROKE INTO VERY EXCLUSIVE SOCIAL CIRCLES ... I traveled places and did things that make some veterans shake their heads.  But, I came out the other side.  IT WAS GREAT.

AND, oh yeah ... I had a girl friend since Late January ... and she might be a little "with child."  I will know for sure shortly.  But, frankly, I am 100% happy.  I found myself saying things and planning in that direction ANYWAY - which is unlike me.  She is everything we all look for - plus VERY SMART (English; French; Spanish; and Studying Japanese), comes from a GOOD FAMILY.  these are things that are important to me.  And, SHE LOVES ME.  I am a lucky guy.  I may become luckier still.

So, I will be going back to Cali often.  I recommend it strongly.  It gave me more than I asked for - it can do the same for you too.

Dude

Do not try to fool us, Castle Cali is a carbon copy of the Medellin Mansion and we all know what goes on there, not to say there is anything wrong with that, but you need to let guys know this.. I saw your posts on another site stating this, so go ahead and come clean bro !

Kilt -

Personally, I have used this discussion group.  Personally, I think my posts are as open as any.  I have no agenda, and frankly, the traffic on this board does not have the juice to advance any commercial interests - mine, or anyone else's. My invitation is personal, and only intended to help.  That is the truth.

I have met many guys in Colombia.  Some guys are just looking for a good time.  Some guys are sincerely looking for a wife.  Sometimes you can tell these guys apart, sometimes their ACTUAL behavior is identical. It is a Venn Diagram.

In the last 10 days, I know we have had many Americanos who have come to "CastleCali " directly from "the Mansion" (Medellin VIP too). Today, in Cali TLC - one of the oldest, largest, and most successful marriage agencies - is having a pool party (30 + men; 500 plus women).  After that, many of the men are going to our place for a private get together.

The ONLY reason these companies work with us; the only reason we share customers, is because of the value we offer.

It is not a Big Business.  It is a small one.  No big deal.

B&B? hahaha that is a nice way of calling a casa de p****! ;D

If it is such a lovely place, why does every photo have to have girls in it?!  ::)

And how to the lovely ladies dressed in black make a living? Are they the cleaners? haha  :D

Why not at least say what this place really is, how much the girls charge etc etc, instead of just saying it's a B&B?

It is true ... sometimes our customers behave like PIGS.  Sort of like this place.

In fact, it is not a casa de cita for sure.

Sin embargo, there are a ton down the street. Just past marriage agency 1, 2, and 3.

The girls in the photos work - but are not working girls.  As you would certainly know if you inappropriately made comments in front of them as you just have at a distance.

Oh really?  A comment taken from one of your fans over on "another site":

Rivardco is a good friend of mine.  The Cali Castle is NOT associated with the Medellin Mansion. However, Rivardco has visited the Medellin Mansion and hopes to emulate the Mansion set up here in Cali as well.

Do you care to explain why he arrived at that conclusion?  It appears that KB and others pegged it right.
