6 years & still going strong
« on: May 14, 2008, 12:22:23 AM »

Hey Y'all....

I almost forgot to share that this past "Mother's Day" was also our "Anniversary Day".  This was the first time they both came on the same day (and what a expensive double blast it turned out to be ;D). We've had our moments that all married folks go through, but I wouldn't trade my life now, for what it would have been like without my wife & son in my life. Married life is the hard, but most rewarding part of this special quest of ours. From time to time I reflect on that faithful day back in Sept of 99 when I boarded the jet for the first trip to Colombia. The great times at the "The Palace". Getting hit by the "Thunderbolt". Proposing by candle light with Andreas Bocelli playing in the background at the El Cortille.....

I wouldn't trade none of it....

Hoda, Congrats and many more years of (mostly) bliss! I have a selfish reason for wanting your happiness to continue as long as possible...when my little bundle get's here, guess who I am going to be putting her in touch with when we go through those "misunderstandings"! LOL!  ;D

Congratulations Hoda.  I like the realistic way you reflect on long-term marriage.  It's not ALL fun, but it's certainly worth the occasional bad spot.  You need to find a good source for Mother's Day/Anniversary cards before the double whammy hits you again.

Huge Congratulations Hoda!

I've found it to be exactly as you mentioned. Few bumps and twists along the way but I could not have found a better partner, friend, woman, and wife.

Here's to a whole lot more anniversary's in your future! <Raises glass and takes a big drink!>

When I first saw that the two special days fell on the first day....I was like, dayyum, I'm gonna be taxed  :D It all worked out, but I need to check in the future when it happens again. She really loved the two separate cards & a dozen roses for each year of marriage....

Dayyum, I'm good  ;D

Dayyum...You've taken care of our quota of children to the population  ;D All too often, guys don't realize or talk/post about the "hell to heaven" situations that you'll go through. No matter where "you find or been found by love"....you still have work to do. I've followed you quest for years, my friend. You're experiences have been instrumental to mine & other's success...

thanks much....

C-man,

On the real...it was scary on how some of your experiences mirrored some of the moments in my marriage. There's gonna be bumps, twist & turns during the relationship. I've found, that I needed to take a step back, along with a taking a deep breath to resolve any issue that has come up....

BTW...Just how BIG is this drink & how many are YOU PAYING FOR  ;D

Hoda,

Congrats on your anniversary! It certainly sounds like all of your hard work to find that someone special really paid off.  I hope that my situation will be the same for me and my fiance as well.  Again, congrats on your anniversary.

I was lucky enough to have met Hoda in 1999 at the Palace.  Bro you are a true gentlemen and I'm so happy for you and your family.  From what I recall didn't your wife beat your ass on the basketball court  ;D

Glad to hear you guys are still going strong...

Congrats! Stories like yours keeps me going!!
"a man's past is not simply a dead history, an outworn preparation of the present: it is not a repented error shaken loose from the life: it is a still quivering part of himself, bringing shudders and bitter flavors and the tinglings of a merited shame. - George Eliot, Middlemarch
