You are right! He made it disappear off my head and reappear on my face. I find that most Asian ladies don't like facial hair...until they find out what it is really for!

When Honey and I first met she made me shave off my beard.  I tried so hard to explain to her I wasn't evil (Filipinos see men with facial hair as evil) and it would be hard next to her skin (the other problem).  So when I came to the R.P. to get married I grew my beard back so she could see how soft it was and then cut it off.  She made me grow it back when she felt my skin the next morning (owww!).  I just a few months ago decided to shave it off and regrow it because I had become dissatisfied with how it was growing and wanted to start over.  She took one look at me and said, "You're growing that back!"  Bossy isn't she!?  I must have been really ugly without it, huh!

My wife doesn't like it when I look mean and evil. I am such a softy on the inside. I think I look uglier without facial hair too...hard to believe!  I usually grow a goatee and keep it short, which she likes. I have hair back on my head now and was clean shaven until a week ago. She doesn't like the "big beard."  My wife is probably thinking..."Here we go again!"  But her response was the usual "It's up to you."

Filipinos see men with facial hair as evil

Bear, I have heard similar comments over the years. I think it mostly comes from the fact that Filipinos with facial hair, usually a scraggly poor excuse for a beard, are more of the criminal/gangster types.

When I hear comments from Filipinas like that, I just remind them to look at those statues and pictures of the saints in church next time they're there. Supposedly, even Christ had a full beard.

I like the fact that most Asian ladies have little body hair. My last 2 serious Latinas had little body hair...but I dated a few that I discovered had a 5 O'clock shadow that made me feel like I was on Brokeback Mountain.
