taking a break
« on: March 28, 2008, 06:14:06 PM »
Hi Guys, Pan de bono here formerly known as Whomestrong. Just wanted to let you guys know i probably wont be posting as much as before, infact i may not be able to post at all. You see two years ago i fought a very hard fight against cancer and i thought i had beat it. Unfortunetely i was informed by my doctor today that the cancer has returned and that it is spreading.
So...my hope is that i can beat it again, but to be honest with you things arent looking good right now.
Take care,
Pan de bono

Pan de bono,

My wife and I prayers are with you.
I'd like to think that YOU determine what your chances are.  Your mindset, attitude and faith in what ever you have faith in.  The mind plays a large part in sickness.

Hang in there dude and never give up.  Impossible things happen every day.

Good luck pan. We're all behind you. In addition to your treatments, I suggest you also look into making your body more alkaline. Your immune system will work much better and help you out. Google alkaline body and you'll find tons and tons of information. Don't pay any attention to the potions and pills, but the diet information will help you fight this.

Hey Pan de bono,

I sent you a message.

I would do as Jeff said and make your body more alkaline. I am doing this through diet (more veggies and fruits, raw foods) and AlkaLife drops in my water myself.

GO FOR IT! I KNOW YOU WILL BEAT THIS TEMPORARY SETBACK!

thanks sean, jeff and dave for you supportand ideas.

last time i had this cancer i did something similar to an alkaline. i drank raw juices daily, i took tons of vitamins and herbs, i even made a special drink called the Dragon Slayer. i lost weight and the tumor did shrink because of it.
this time i seem to be much more depressed about it, im having a hard time getting serious about fighting it.
i plan tomorrow to kick into gear and start a serious attack plan again this cancer.
thanks guys for your support and encouragement.

i got you email thanks!

I'd like to take this moment to invite anyone who has some good suggestions for me concerning this cancer situation . If you have any ideas concerning medication, doctors, herbs, anything helpful i would appreciate it.

Hi guys, just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I may not be posting for awhile as i am about to become very busy guy.
For the last 3 weeks it has been a fast passed time for me, i have met with numerous doctors, i have had ct scans , bllod tests, endoscopy, i have been poked and proded for weeks.
well today i met with the Onocologist and the final diagnosis i have a cancwer tumor in my esophagus, it is growing and spreading, and i am a very sick guy.
my chances are not good, i cant even swallow food, i am living on liquid and next week they are putting a feeding tube in my stomach.
the plan is for immediate heavy bombardment of radiation and chemo at the same time, 5 days a week, for 7 weeks. if at that time the surgeons feel that i can withstand surgery they will do surgery.
the doctor has given me a 25% chance of success.
i have a very bad feeling that i may not make it this time. im not going to give up im gonna fight all the way, but to be honest it doesnt look real good for me.
I do not know when i will be posting again here on PL or if i ever will again as the medical people have me scheduled for a very active weeks ahead.
I will check in on PL from time to time if i get a chance.
I ask that all my PL brothers say a prayer for me.
Thanks you for being a great bunch of guys and supporting me.
Talk to ya later i hope
Pan de bono

One of my aunts had cancer and it was so far gone that the doctors gave her weeks to live. She ended up surprising them and living another 10 years and they could never figure out what happened. I am sure there are countless other stories like hers. Hang in there, dude! None of us know how much time we've got left and you may end up outliving some of us here.

an updte: well they have been taking tests for 3 weeks now, endoscopy, two blood tests, x-ray, ultrasound, CTscan, Pet Scan, i have met with surgeons and oncologist and radiologist, you name it i have done it. so here is their latest plan, first they want to take a good look at the pet scan because that will tell them if the cancer has spread or not and exactly what they can do for me. next i get surgery for a hernia and to insert a feeding tube in me, about a week later i start chemo and radiation 5 days a week for 7 weeks.
its gonna be tough but i really dont have any other choices...now do i?
i will keep ypu guys posted, any suggestions or comments are welcome. pan de vida
