Current Status: Approval notice sent

I went to the USCIS website to check my case, and read the following:

On December 21, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I thought it would come around this time, but I was expecting it to be next month. I will be looking forward to having the actual document in my hand. I know that my girl will be pleased by this news, but I also know that she has been slack about getting the police report. Maybe this progress will light a fire under her. I have heard that there is a 2 month wait on getting that document.

Now the bad news. I was reading that the State Dept. is raisng the non-immigrant visa fee from USD $100 to $131 effective Jan 1st. Oh well, it could have been worse.
