Hi
This message is specifically for Big Stew33 and Researcher, of course  anyone can post.  Big Stew, are you still at LLM?  I want to thank you for calling me the last time from LLM. I did sign up with LLM as an executive member and am going to Bogota on January 16 and i think I'll stay at LLM.  The Cheapest air fare was LACSA/TACA and buying the ticket direct form them

If you wouldn't mind, could you post something on "dos and don'ts in Bogota". When to offer to pay for the cab, or wait for the woman to say something, how to work effectively with the agency ladies (in additioon to tipping them ) and just how much should I tip.

Researcher, you said that you were an LAI client and I know its just across the street from LLAM, and that you're now married.  Congrqatulations of course!  Could you also do the same?  Any thing that will help me to stay "sharp", I would appreciate.  if someone wants to call me, I'm at 520-425-5338

You're tipping them? What service are they providing for these tips?

UC, I think he is talking about the Cabbies.  The sentence does not read all that clearly!

I want to thank and acknowledge the help of two of the board's members, BigStew33 and Researcher.  Both of these guys are absolute class acts, both incredibly nice guys who each called me this weekend and spent an hour on the phone with me, both generous with their time and their advice.

Researcher, my prayer is that you will get your wife here as fast as humany possible.

Big Stew33, I hope you find the lady you're looking for, but also I hope you will stick around at LLM until I get there so i can buy youy a drink...or two. if you're gone, i'll understand!

Thanks, gentlemen!

Utopia Cowboy asked if I meant tipping cabbies or the women in the agency. I apologize if i was unclear, i did mean the agency ladies.  One guy who was an agency client in Bogota, said if you give the girls 10 bucks every week that you're hey will work hard, try to line up more first sitas, etc.

Best wishes for hanukah, Christmas and a happy New year to everyone on the board.

Regards,
Dennis

Oh, ok, the women who are working in the agency. No problem with that. I thought you meant tipping the  women themselves.

hello dennis I was thumbing thru the site when i stumbled on your question. I will be in bogota on the 15 of dicember.  my 5 th  time. and have learned alot of tricks.
did you know there is a hotel you can stay at for 20 bucks a night? and its clean and in a good part of town.  its called hotel teusaca.  www.hotelteusaca.com
1 person is 65000 pesos a night.I stay there during the week then on friday maybe get a 5 star for 2 nights.   it saves a ton of money.
also what type of giril are you looking for i know a girl that you might be interested in and she has a visa. her name is dana 39 years old no kids.I have her phone number. also some young girls phone numbers hell I can keep you busy and you dont need to pay 1500  dollars for a service.
the taxi drivers will take you to costly hotels  but I sugest going to teusaca to get your head together.
nothing worse than blowing money on hotels they will always try to over charge you. I learned the hard way.  :-[ I will call you. I can help you  rocky.

Hi Rocky: I'm heading to Bogota sometime in January. Would it be possible for me to ask you a few questions either by me calling you or sending you an email? It appears I don't have profile viewing priviliges so I can't see if you've left a number or email address. Thanks. :)

badboy,

Make a few more posts (like an introduction posts and a couple about what you are looking for) then you will be able to PM (personal message) to other members. I believe the minimum number of posts is 5 before you get the other options. Helps keep the spammers away.

This message is for Rocky and of course anyone can post.

Rocky, thanks for calling me. You said you were going to be in Bogota on the 15th of December, I'll be there for three weeks starting on January 16th.

I signed up with the LLM agency because its my first time in Colombia, i liked the age spread of their women members and I was willing to pay for the personal service. I'm too new at this and I don't speak nearly enough Spanish to line up a bunch of Bogota women from internet sites like amigos.com, etc. Plus for first sitas, I want the women to feel some sense of responsibility, maybe if they pay an agency fee (and LLM says they charge their women  $75 a year for membership) there will be a lower percentage of no shows.

I picked Bogota for obvious reasons.  What I'm not looking for is a party girl with a "busto de silicona."  I'm 54 and I'm attracted to different physical types, but they MUST be INTELLIGENT, A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR AND GOOD CONVERSATIONALISTS!!!!!  I'm looking at an age range between 35 and 52.  Ideally, if I found a woman who was in her 40s, but looked younger, maybe divorced and with grown up kid(s) not at home, "I'd be happier then a pig in the proverbial barnyard."  I'm looking for an educated woman who is feminine, reads stuff that is way more hefty then romance novels, likes museums, art, music, culture has a curious mind, very good people skills, speaks a lot or some English, or has the desire and ability to learn English and by desire, I mean that she doesn't think the only way to learn English is to have  "a sugar daddy" pay for English lessons.   I'm teaching myself Spanish by taking books and CDs out of the library and I have to think that someone could do the same at a public library in Bogota.

A university education is a plus but not a must, I'm writing to a woman in Bogota with a technical education, but her letters are lively and in English and although she makes mistakes she has the confidence to try.
Having said all of that, if you (or anyone on the board) thinks you know a woman who lives in Bogota and is worth talking to, I'm at dennisianlevy@yahoo.com. Please don't give a woman my phone number. if there is some interest, we can always meet her at a cafe across the street from the agency where I'm registered.  It goes without saying, I aint travelling around Bogota to meet a woman (from the agency or anywhere else).  Rocky, you can call me tonight. I did look up the web site of the hotel and I'll try to figure out how far it is from the agency.  Thanks for the help!!!

Wow! Sounds like Dennis and I are looking for similar women. I'll be in Bogota in January as well and was considering LAI. I heard they have a good selection of professional women...must be university educated hopefully a professional degree for me. I'm mid-50's looking for someone approximately 30 years old but up to 35 preferably no children. I'm not sure how LLM and LAI differ. I have sent LAI an email and received no reply so I'm wondering how efficient and responsible they are. Anyway, any insight/advice would be welcome.

Hello Dennis,

I have one thing to say... Start squealing like a pig.. lmao

You are not going to have any problem finding a great woman in that age range.. UtopiaCowboy hit the jackpot with his wife...

I would recommend you read the threads about   "Why do Columbian women over 30 have so few options for marriage ?" and especially
the thread titled "Lawyer from Bogota wants me???"..

Enjoy,

singlefather

Has anyone used both LAI and LLM in Bogota? Wondering which one would be best to find university graduates and those with professional degrees. I'm not really a "snob" but believe the more education the better the chances of adapting to the differences in culture. It also seems that a woman highly trained would be less likely to ever have a need for public services should the marriage fail. She would also have more opportunities to return home. That affidavit of support could potentially be quite a burden.

I used LAI in Bogota.I would reccomend them for what you are looking for.

Badboy:

You read Researcher's post and he and I talked by phone, he was very happy with LAI.  I've heard good things about both LLM and LAI. I think they're the same price, just under $1300 each, the rooms are within 5 bucks of each other ($65 to $70)  If you want to stay at an agency, I believe the quality of the women is just about the same at LAI and LLM.  Another agency you might check out in Bogota is ODEE, which markets itself as the agency with the highest professional level of women.

If you're going to be in Bogota, I'll be at LLM between 1/16 and 2/6. If you register with another agency, and you want to stop in and leave a message for me and if you decide to pick LAI, its right next to LLM, so we can knock down a couple of "cervezas frias" and compare notes. How is your Spanish? If you want to call me or write an email, i've posted my phone number and email within this thread.

Dennis: Sounds good. I've got your number and email. I'll give you a holler sometime after Christmas once I get my plans finalized. Right now it looks like I will arrive in Bogota on Jan. 15th but this may change by a few days. The cervezas sound good. My spanish is somewhere between fair and poor. I had 4 years of spanish in high school(decades ago) and know how to pronounce and understand thousands of words but stringing them together in a meaningful sentence can be a challenge. lol I understand what's being said much better than the speaking myself part. I always carry a Franklin dictionary/translator when I travel to Mexico/Central America. These things can get you through most routine conversations. Sounds like fun. Later.

Rocky: Yea. I'd be interested to see their pics. Thanks
