Women.Brasil vs. Colombian Title match!! LOL
« on: October 31, 2007, 04:14:32 PM »
I've been looking alot at both countries trying to see which way to go. I kinda feel a choice has to be made with the assumption that communication is important in helping to find the right women(it it).
Since I don't currently speak portugese or spanish, I need to learn. Learning both obviously isn't an option. No need to speak 2 languages poorly right?lol!

1) Is there a general opinio that Colombian women are more sincere than the brasilian women?
2) It appears that about the same amount of women in each Country claim to speak English. I'm sure this is VERY poor English at best I'm sure. So mute point here.

3)The women in Brasil are definately are taller (5'6 and up appears average) generally as compared to Colombians of (5'1' to 5'5'' or so).. I'm 6'6'' 265lbs and I like a tall lean women but I love my shorty's too!!LOL. Not sure if my height would present a problem to most 5'2'' 105lb Colombian women or not. 5'10 women appear to be easy enough to find in Brasil assuming from the German blood after WW2.

4) Important question here. I've looked at basically every Dating service/foreign bride site listed here. It appears more than obvious that many more Colombian women have children at the earlier ages(18-22) than Brasilian women comparitively. Now the Brasillian view on sex is much more loose as compared to Colombia(best I gather) so whats going on? Are the not as sexually active in Brasil at a younger age( I don't think that is true for a minute) or are the alot better at using protection(not likely when comparing Brasil and Colombian HIV rates)?

Am I missing something in Question #4?

5) I live in Central South Florida with a pretty high Latin population. Depending where we'd live, she could easily speak in Spanish whe needed to get around better than portugese. I guess that could be a factor too.

I love some input here. And for you men with Colombian brides, I obviously am not trying to offend anyone of you or your spouses. I've seen some of the pics and I'm envious. I'm sure if they were not as beauitiful inside you wouldn't be with them now.

I'd imagine the biggest differences will be between economic/social classes, not countries. Spanish opens up a ton of countries and is useful in America, while Portuguese opens up...maybe...3? 4? And not particularly useful in America.

I'd imagine in either country, girls have sex at older ages than American girls on the average and are less promiscuous (except for poor girls in tourist areas or something). I'd guess birth control is more readily available in Brazil (I believe at least at one point the government distributed free condoms to help stem HIV/AIDS). If you're just looking at dating poor girls, Brazilian ones are probably more promiscuous.

Don't know how you'd get some real data on any of your questions and I'm just going off what I've read and talking with a few girls so, who knows.

All the girls I know who are about 5' want a guy who's around 6'.

True that more Brazilians could be using birth control but with high HIV rates, condoms aren't being used that much.
I'jm not sure why the young mother rates are lower or appears lower in brazil though.

Theres enough guys here that have travelled the country's so i'm really looking for their opinions more than anything.

In my country (Colombia) the education is very poor and I know the government needs to teach more about the protection in school. They try to control pregnancy more in recent years.  in our culture, women are aware of HIV but haven't been educated about protection as much. Women don't abort unwanted pregnancies; families help support young mothers. I agree with you about the open sex in Brazil. Brazil is like a sex factory. Sexy women dancing naked in the streets and sex in the discos is not uncommon. Carnival there is associated with beautiful women and sex for money. This is why last year the government in Brazil gave free condoms to control HIV which incidence is very high.

Brazil's % of HIV infected adults is .7%. Same as Colombia. USA is .6%.

Just because Rio has a lot of sex doesn't mean the rest of Brazil does. That's like saying because there's lots of sex in Bangkok, all Thai women are whores. I sent a Brazilian girl some pics of girls here in the states during Mardi Gras and some from Halloween, and she was shocked at how slutty the American girls in the pictures were. Of course, not all American girls dress up like skanks for Halloween or lift their shirt at Mardi Gras either.

There are skanks and hos in every country in the world, just as there are virtuous, strong women everywhere. It's far more important how you approach the search than it is where you search IMO. If you like Brazilian culture, food, music, go to Brazil, if you prefer Colombian, then go there. Your success will not depend on which country you choose.

Personally, I find Brazilians grab life with an elan and gusto you don't see in most other Latin American countries. It's reflected in everything about the culture. I know where I'd go given a choice. Of course if you need your hand held by and agency and need them lined up for you to interview...

The Brazilians I know have very little difficulty communicating with Spanish speakers. Yes I know Portuguese and Spanish are very different languages, but I make myself understood in Italy using my Spanish, and so can a Portuguese speaker in Florida or Southern California.

My wife can understand nearly everything they are saying in either Italian or Portuguese. French, on the other hand, she is totally lost.

Same with me. I can read it somewhat, but don't understand a word listening.
