How about you dont post under any status, papi?

Was the MA drama just your way of making a grand entrance?

Your misinformation and self-serving "both sides of your mouth" threads were not really missed here.

My post doesnt have anything to do with mark and his agency.

It has to do with a wave of poorly treated sewage that just began flowing again.

Mark has good and bad posted about his agency. He needs to get down there and take care of business.

Colombia is so cheap in terms of labor and also furniture, I have to ask woul'nt it be a good investment for someone who rents their apartment out to upgrade it making it a bit more luxurious. I mean cheap furniture and cheap matresses are not exactly going to make anyone feel romantic. I would rather pay for a deecnt hotel.

Wh can't anyone who rents make the apartments modern, with nice comfortable furnishing. Anyone who does that, yet still ask a reasonable price would have the place rented year round because there would be tons of refferals. But it seems 3rd world interior designs usually look cheap.

If you pay a deposit to the hotel, and do not stay there, then the hotel does NOT owe it back to you.

Wow, I just checked back into this board after a few days and saw this thread! :o

This is Mark's call but another former agency owner did remburse me an initial deposit. I think on a previous trip report or somewhere on this board, I did mention that I was going to stay at Cali Charm back when Roy was the owner. Long story short, I did not and Roy refunded me my $100 via Pay Pal. He didn't have to do it but it was a much appreciated gesture and I've since sent 4 folks  to that agency.

As far as my dealings with Mark, I did order the contact info for two ladies on the site. It took awhile to get them, and the first one's # and email worked, but a number given for the second one did not work. I tried several times to get Luis to help but that was futile. Atleast, Mark did call me back and sent me contact info for another lady on the site. He was very professional about it.

Further, I question his judgment in extolling virtues of "Jamie" given his lack of people's skills and views on Colombian women.  Those negatives IMO disqualify Jamie as a trusted marriage broker in Colombia.

My sentiments exactly. Of course there are those that will state otherwise based on their own impressions/experiences...

Typical Papi drama: he criticizes Mark's apartment without details, then says he won't post here anymore, but we can PM him for more details.

BE A MAN, PAPI!  If you're going to air your problems publicly, then stick it out to the end.  Good riddance!

The bottom line is when Papi asked me for a refund I said I would do this and I had no acrimony or dispute about doing this, I asked him to e-mail his address so I could mail him a check, he never sent me his mailing address, he requested his money on the 16th on June, I was waiting for him to send me his home address and about 5 days later he started this thread accusing me of not refunding his $100, he also stated in his accusation that "I said a check was in the mail" I never said this, how could I send him a check if I did not have his address?, I think it was structured to make me look bad and malign my integrity as a business person,

2. Now as to the credit card reversal of charges, this may sound ridiculous but I actually don't know how to do this!, in the 4 years of Condo renting I have never had one customer ask for a refund so I don't know how or never used the screen to reverse charges, not one time, most customers are so overwhelmed with the value of service and the condo, they thank me and refer customers, this apartment has all the amenities and is tastefully decored with an Ocean view on the beach for $50 a day, you cant find a cheap flea bag motel in America for this price anywhere, My Mom lives in San Diego and an apartment on the beach in mission bay goes for about $3.000 to $5,000 a week, I guess the price is relatively the same in Miami or Myrtle beach, etc; so I like to think that I don't know how to utilize the credit card reversal option because we have 4 years of satisfying customers

MA sez -- 2. Now as to the credit card reversal of charges, this may sound ridiculous but I actually don't know how to do this!,

Clicking the "help" option at the PayPal login page is a wonderful opportunity ;) MA to learn how to use PayPal. I have highlighted the appropriate text referring to refunds to Paypal accounts/credit cards.   I quote as follows:

DayTrader

Refunds made using the Send Money tab will post to the recipient's PayPal account balance, regardless of the source of the original payment. PayPal fees associated with the original payment are not credited to you or to the sender because, Send Money constitutes a payment, not a refund.

When the Refund Payment link is used to make a payment, the source of the original payment determines how the refund will be credited.

    * If the payment was funded by a bank account, eCheck or Instant Transfer, the refund will be credited to the recipient's PayPal balance
    * If the payment was sent using a credit card, refunds will be credited to that credit card account
    * If the payment is partially funded by a credit card and the remainder paid using a separate source, the amount paid from the credit card will be credited to that card and the remainder, if any, to the recipient's PayPal account balance
    * If your credit card-funded payment was originally designated as a quasi-cash payment, the quasi-cash payment will credit back to your PayPal balance rather than to the credit card (credit card issuers do not accept quasi-cash credits). [/i]

I would not refund him the money anyway. not the way he acted. All you have to do is read the old post here and see he does this with everyone not just you! I bet he found a better deal else where and was not a big enough man to follow thru on his agreement with you!!

I have watched Papi offend people for too long and when he declares unilaterally not to do business with Mark anymore and others listen to him thats their problem  I say to Mark that if Papi stays at your place and recommends it  to others thats bad for your  business - I certainly don´t want Papi staying at my hotel EVER.  If you ask anyone in this business who has been aound more than 10 years and met Papi he is probably the most universally disliked American to ever visit Colombia. Just look at his track record .   He gives the rest of us Americans a bad name.  He is what we call a bottom fisher.  He will insult your employees and treat the ladies in your agency with disrespect.  The photos of the condo speak for themselves - it sure doesn´t look like a dump to me.  Good luck Mark !!!

Chizz

How can you have any dealings with mark when you have only been to Barrenquilla? Is mark not based in CQ???

Really, is anyone really shocked by this. I'm not, and I'm sure alot of others are not. I had my dealings with him late last year, and he exposed himself as a fraud. Sorry to hear that papi, but you hit it on the nail, go with jamie, you won't go wrong.

I'd go for MA over Jamie any day of the week, from what I've seen on this forum.

Jamie reminds me of a con artist or used car salesman (is there a difference, really?). I know ex-cons who would be repulsed by half the [snip] the guy writes. I don't know how people can trust the guy so much...he sounds Sleazy with a capital S, not to mention just plain stupid.

MA, like a real man, blew his top at Papi, who is so damn annoying I truly hope he doesn't post here again, or go anywhere outside the USA. You all might call it bad PR or bad customer relations...but gimme a break. I'm all for straight shooters/talkers. MA also seems significantly more intelligent than Jamie (which isn't very hard). That earns big points in my book. Smart people make screw-ups. Stupid people _are_ screw-ups. MA's service is also cheaper and I like his website a lot more.

Of course, I'd use the dating sites instead of an agency so I guess my opinion doesn't matter all that much.

Jamie's layout is the best I have seen and I have seen a few.  The women on the site are real and available in 90% of the cases.  He looks out for his clients and is on location.  The only downside is he is not inexpensive but he has produced.  He has many satisfied clients, you might think differently if you actually utilized his service.

I dont know Papi and i dont know Mark. I have never been to Marks place so I have no first hand knowledge about his business. However, I do know that Papi has a habit of dramatics, so when i read a complaint made by Papi about someone else or about a business i take it with a grain of salt.
As Soltero rightly stated papi hasnt given much detail , so until there are more details about what actually happened I would not be taking anyones side.
