Why so defensive catz?

I think Cali-vet’s response was tempered and honest. I didn’t see it as a “cheap shot” at all.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. What I read was a post based in manipulation. If it was deleted there would have been a great outcry of "Look, Look, I was right." As it was not deleted, merely questioned it got the answer that I expected.

As far as his complaint of censorship based on personal disagreements with "a" moderator, I can attest to the truth of that claim. It’s happened to me and you know what I’m talking about, so please don’t ask for an explanation or call this a cheap shot at the forum management.

When you have a moderator who engages in personal attacks and flaming, and then uses his moderator status to censor his opponent for purely personal reasons, then of course some folks may be inclined not to participate fully. It won’t scare me off but I can appreciate Cali-vet’s point.

You might be surprised at just how many members cry foul or complain of unfair treatment and/or favoritism. Often I feel that I am in kindergarten from all these little petty games. This was just another example of that behavior.

All just my opinion and I don't expect or need anyone to agree with it. But maybe I am just that dimwitted to believe that the members here are actually adults and can interact as such.

I liked the old software better. I prefer the "tree" layout. But that's just personal preference and anyway the layout doesn't really have that much to do with the management nor the content. There is one moderator who I'm not particularly fond of considering his (lack of) impartiality as mentioned by Ray and I somebody else (I forget who the other mentioner was, but I think we're all speaking about the same moderator).

Still, all in all, it's a good board with a bunch of pretty good guys. Better (IMHO) than "Brand X" which I occasionally read but I have never posted on. Too much of what they do is just name calling, race baiting and showing videos better suited to junior high  (hey, guys, look at the ___ on THIS one!).....I don't want this board becoming like THAT.

I guess my responses were so strongly heated that I accidently shut down the website today and inadvertantly deleted posts and e-mails. :'( :'( :'(

Don't be surprised if you check your e-mails and some were deleted.  Mine (from the past two days) were.  Also it looks like the appreciation votes from the past couple of days are removed.

Theres a joke here with all this going on, but I'll let someone else make it. ;D

.....funny....the post I entered late last night is deleted....either the server wrote it then later deleted it or the Forum Gods censored it.  William3rd replied with additional wisdom after my post, both are gone.....hhhmmmmmm...

So, either the server ate 2 messages (I verified they were there a few minutes after posting) and saved the messages before and after....or our beloved Forum God(s) deleted mine and William3rd posts (only)...with no cause or justification...and no notification....

Forum Gods...please check your server log for RE:ALERT MARK ANTHONY! thread between 9 pm and midnight yesterday for those two posts or explain your actions if you DID delete them  por favor.

DT,

Under that name...RE: Alert mark anthony....no.  I did not see any posts deleted with your name or Sir William's name in the vault.  I know i haven't deleted any of yours or Sir William's.  not in the last several months anyway.

If your referring to the one that Papi directed to Dan about him...then yes...I deleted the whole thread because it should not have been posted in the open forum or given in the fashion it was.  As Dan explained....This site is not a go between.

Since we seem to be having a rash of "explain yourself" type comments here the last 2 days...to avoid any possible misinterpreted intentions...why don't we start shooting pm's instead.  I have nothing to hide and will gladly explain anything....but it is starting to appear some are trying to put me on the spot and that's not going to continue to happen.
