Agency Scams
« on: April 07, 2007, 08:39:13 AM »
Yesterday, another esteemed member listed a site that touts itself as a place to go for advice on agencies. It is mostly focused on areas outside of Latin America and the owner of the site apparently recommends against PL and highly endorses only 1 agency in Latin America that I noticed - one that happens to advertise with him.

I am not aware of any good places to go for advice on agencies other than the experiences of your fellow members on PL. To that end, here is the list of agencies receiving the prestigious papi seal of approval:

Latin Wife: barranquiila
Latin Intro: bogota
Cali Charm: Cali
TLC: Barranquilla, Cali, Lima

That being said, I feel the internet is more effective and using an agency for backup. I wish I started using the online method before including, latin cupid, messenger and webcams. Of course, you will need to  join team nutjob along with me and learn spanish. feliz buscando

Maybe a permanent thread should be started on PL that list scammers and a little information compiled about each agency.  How about a permanent thread with pictures of girls that have scammed other guys?  Now that would be interesting.

Bundy,

That suggestion has been brought up more than once since I have been posting here and always gets shot down. In hindsight (since I brought it up about 3 years ago), the reasons make sense.

1) Some guys scam themselves by not paying attention to the "red flags" and believing only what they want to believe.

2) Some people have vindictive personalities and may attempt to damage someone's reputation because they just didn't like them the way that they wanted.

3) Without both sides of the story or third party verification, it is almost impossible to prove that the woman posted is truly a scammer or the victim of the above two reasons.

4) Posting someone's pic who did not authorize it that is not already available in the public domain could potentially lead to legal issues.

Here is the problem, some guys for example love TLC - others hate them. Another issue, you might try an agency in say June and love them and go back later and have a bad experience. I have only met 1 or 2 really bad apples (agency owners) in latin america. The balance range from good to above average. Few are perfect...

Points taken.  I can see where a disgruntled person could post some BS for no reason.  If I got jilted by my novia, I would definitely post her pic around warning others about her.  I just assume everone is honest until they prove me wrong, but what do I know, I'm just a good ol' boy from the south.

Okay, well how about at least a picture of the scammer's labia?

I'm pretty sure we can all identify a shark this way.

So, the vote count thus far:

Aye, for pictures of scammers' labias: 1

Santanger, I really can't offer much help here. I exchanged emails with the owner a few months ago and I suppose Paula from ACG is still there. If memory serves, he quoted me $200 for 12 intros or $80 per day to stay in his place with intros included.

The room is double the cost of cali charm but VIP might have hotter girls. Yet i would venture to guess that a good % of the chicas are no longer active.

If there are 12 chicas or so that rock your world - then $200 is a fair price and not a lot of money. All it takes is 1. Your call...good luck

PS. on the negative side, they are in the south. Most gringos prefer the north

I would recommend them. I recently went there to say hi to Paola and to see her wedding fotos. She's still there untill the Visa arrives but Monica who works in the office is also very helpful.

You can pay on a per date basis too.
