Is Latin Magic still in business ? I can not tell when they last posted new profiles. I called and left a message but did not receive a return call ? is it a decent agency ?

I've never heard of them, but theres many I haven't heard of.  I can understand them not returning a call if they are in Colombia, but if they are in the states or if you've given them your e-mail address....I'd definitely take that as a bad sign.  You might want to try some of the ones talked about on here.

That site adds new profiles only once about every 6 months to a year, I noticed. I never dealt with them however.

They appear to be--literally--stuck in a grey area:

Quote
Why is "Latin Magic" on my Grey List?

There are several reports that this agency has women on the site that are long since married, engaged or simply not looking for a foreign love anymore. Yet, the agency does not bother to clean out the profiles.

When confronted with this problem (or others), the agency owner starts insulting or shouting the clients.

As you might know, my motto for agencies is that the agency is only as good as the owner. My experience is that owner who insult don't have worthy agencies.

Doom,

I'd take anything that comes from that site with a handful of grains of salt, a couple of pain pills, and a few shots!

Planet Love was recently listed there as a "Scam" site. Agencies end up on the grey or black list simply for not responding to an e-mail. While this particular agency may indeed be less than stellar, if it is seen so only because it is listed on the agencyscam site then I would be very hesitant to believe it until I had seen real proof.

FWIW,
 Catz

Catz, I checked out the agencyscam site and sent Jim an email explaining that this site (planet-love) is legit...a pain in the arse most of the time, but it is legit.  I stated that unless he follows up with Dan or replies with specifics to me, HIS website is taking a significant credibility hit, regardless of his noble intent.  If he replies to me with anything specific (he won't), I'll pass it on....

flagringo,

That listing was recently removed from his site. I'll just say that there is a lot of history and there have been a boatload of communications between us and him. I appreciate the thought but don't hold your breath.

And what do you mean we're a pain in the @ss?  :D Aren't all the best things in life a bit difficult...

Catz...huh?  I just checked the scam website under "forums" and planet-love and related sites are listed as no go sites.....I even refreshed my browser to make sure the site was up to date(I had never been to the site before).

Regarding the "pain in the arse" opinion and your reply...all I can say is that 2 or 3 here speak out of both sides of their mouth...and it's in writing so when they get caught it's undeniable.  Just happened again two days ago..AND they got called on it  AND the person(s) response was hilariously opposite of previous emphatic posts.   No sense even bringing up specifics because there is no shame in the person(s) repeatedly caught in obvious hypocrisy....I just increase the rpms and move on.

That's very interesting. A few days ago they had been removed. Just gotta love it! Thanks for the info.

Edit: Just went and looked and I see that he has only removed the "reason" page but left the listing.

I don't recall hearing anything bad about Latin Magic.  I've been around this for around 11 years, and the owner, last I knew, was a guy named Jimmy something.

I think you could do better though depending on what you're after.  Are you looking for an on-site full-service agency, a tour, or to buy addresses?

By the way- My wife's site (out of business since last March) was on the black-list at the agency scams site.  Couldn't find out why though since the "why" page was missing.  Maybe it was because we were running PL, Goodwife, and the intro site at the same time and he assumes anyone with multiple sites is a rip-off, even if they don't hide the fact.  He seems to think PL, Goodwife, and Russianwomendiscussion are scam sites as well now for that reason.    3/9 of the agencies on his "gold" list are advertisers.  Maybe the other 6 were as well at some point.   The guy's at best an idiot IMHO.  Does advertiser="promo to gold list" on his site?

Patrick, i noticed that the one and only highly touted agency in LA is a big advertiser with agency scams. I wonder how many gringos are gullible enough to follow his recommendations and how much traffic he gets. My guess not much but i don't know
