K1
« on: April 01, 2007, 10:25:42 AM »
I plan to dig into visajourney.com and my digital files over the next few days but I left my "marriage" files in storage in another state. If memory serves, to get the process started, I must submit the following:

1. completed/signed I-129F
2. completed/signed his/hers G-325
3. cover letter how we met
4. evidence of the relationship: emails, photos, etc.
5. evidence of travel: copy of plane ticket, hotel, passport stamp

We are both single, never married no kids. The last time I did this was over 2 years ago so the waiver should not be required. Any advice is much appreciated.

I would add divorce decrees, if any, immigration photos for both, photos together, copy of her passport faceplate or birth certificate with translation.

I would skip emails and other self-serving documents as they are irrelevent and are given little weight by USCIS. She can carry that crap with her to the consular interview.

You know better than this so I am wondering why you are posting this here.

1. In my case no divorce issues
2. immigration photos? do you mean sending passport photos of each of us in the original submission?
3. photos together (ok)
4. copy of her passport (she does not have a passport yet). Is it required in the initial submission? If so, does it need to be translated?
5. birth certif - ok
6. If I sent copies of the passport/birth cert - i don't recall getting it translated before and it was approved (but she visa dodged)

You did not just find that link. You mention it in your first post and in other posts over the months. I think it goes to credibility

so you are calling me a liar. ok, whatever. I have known of the website for a long time but rarely looked at it if ever. The first time i submitted the k1, i downloaded a kit and printed it and studied it carefully reading it twice. Yet the kit is outdated and in storage. this is the first time i found this link which at first glance seems to spell out the process

Huh? Shame on whom?

Papi, nobody is preventing you from posting and asking questions. But for whatever reasons, you seem to enjoy starting the same threads and asking the same questions over and over again to the point of putting us all to sleep.

Now since you seem to have forgotten, this is the thread you started exactly 2 months ago on the same topic.

http://www.planet-love.com/forum/index.php?topic=1473.msg12240;topicseen#msg12240

You will notice that the VisaJourney link that you just mysteriously found was provided to you back then by Doombug who was kind enough to look it up for you. Did you ever click on Doombug's link and read it? Apparently not or you wouldn't be asking all the same questions again that were already answered there.

What is the use of starting threads and asking questions if you never even read the answers that other members give you? Are you just going to ask these same questions about submitting a K-1 petition in another 2 months without ever listening to the advice of others?

Sometimes I wonder if you start all these threads on the same topic over and over just to hear yourself talk.

Now since William was kind enough to help answer your question, please don't try to cast shame on him. You should be thankful that he is generous enough to come here and provide visa help to others while waiving his $350/hr fee (or whatever he charges professionally).  ;D

I gave you some advice back in the original thread of Feb 1 that was meant in the spirit of constructive criticism. I know that you will just ignore it but I'll repeat it here for the benefit of others who might be starting out:

Quote

You should take this thing one step at a time. Before you even start thinking about visa petition paperwork, there are some preliminary steps you should complete first.

1. Pick a country

2. Get a steady fulltime job. You will need the income evidence later for Affidavit of Support

3. Take about a year or more to develop a relationship with a lady

4. Get engaged

You're welcome!

A lawyer died and arrived at the pearly gates. To his dismay, there were thousands of people ahead of him in line to see St. Peter. But, to his surprise, St. Peter left his desk at the gate and came down the long line to where the lawyer was standing. St. Peter greeted him warmly. Then St. Peter and one of his assistants took the lawyer by the hands and guided him up to the front of the line into a comfortable chair by his desk.

The lawyer said, "I don't mind all this attention, but what makes me so special?"

St. Peter replied, "Well, I've added up all the hours for which you billed your clients, and by my calculation you must be about 193 years old!"

Precisely the response I would expect from a 3-year-old.

Well, I understand your envy towards people who have a successful career, and generally have a successful life.  all you can throw at them are silly and unprovoked insults.  Ray has offered you a lot of good advice (as well as to others), but you not only failed to follow it, you are spitting into a well.  I don't know if he is an attorney or not, but he is very knowledgeable.  In contrast to you.  You boast that you are "helpful" to others.  Well, you are not.  Just accept this as a fact.  You are a poster child of what NOT to do, and most people after they observe your behavior find you an immature fool.  All you do is regurgitate what has been said before (usually by others), and you repeat this ad nauseum.  You offer little of good advice, if any.  In contrast to guys like William and Ray.

are you drunk again or what?

Ruskie, I am helpful to others. Many have said so. You on the other hand are considered a pompous, condescending, stubborn fool with a rather perverse view on life and others
