The reason I have stopped making many posts really has nothing to do with the matter at hand.  As far as "riff raff from the bleachers" I was a member of the original board that was folded and became this one.

If anyone wants to accept what Papi says as solid information well and good, but most of the time he appears to post to satisfy his own ego and much of the time is inaccurate.  How do I know?  I live in Colombia and have done so for about 20 years, married to a Colombian, lived in Cali and had a successful business and now in Bogotá and I am a permanent resident of Colombia.  Short time in Cartagena, Barrio Manga, but it was just too hot and humid.

Hopefully you will find the right beautiful young Colombia who adores you.

Alligator, i suppose then I will not need your shirt size to send you a fan club T shirt. In the meantime, i suggest you shut your beak and add something positive. Show me my inaccuracies and I will be happy to retract any if the majority of the vets feel I am off target. Otherwise, most of my observations are just that - observations and opinions.

But again most of my comments are just that - commentary. And admittedly sometimes i do like to stir up the pot

And why is the "ignore" feature one of the most ignored features of the forum? One left mouse click and--voilà!--your annoyance vanishes. 

Me thinks it's because drama enjoys company. If you ignored Don Pap (or me, or whoever's rubbing you the wrong way), then your participation here would drop...well, dramatically.

Gator thanks for your enlightened post.  I have enjoyed this site for a long time and the only problem I have EVER ENCOUNTERED IS THE INACCURUCIES OF papi's  POSTS.  I have been active in Colombia since 1990 and currently live full time there so it disturbs me that he is miss- informing so many persons on so many subjects I guess the only recourse available is from time to time reminding readers that taking advice from him is is like taking golf lessons from someone who has a 35 handicap.

Readers should remember that Jim is an agency owner and that el papi highly recommends his competitor in bogota. Consequently, Jim might be biased against papi

You misunderstood. What I was saying by "drama enjoys company" is that your posts invoke a response from a group of peops. you've anointed your "fan club." This is the drama. It lures the occasional fan-club aspirant to pile on.

Personally, I find entertainment value in reading the back-and-forth between you and your critics. I'm on neutral ground, though. Sort of like the Switzerland of fan clubs.

I won it from William in a poker game but he won't take it back and nobody else wants the damn thing. I tried putting it in the trash, but the garbage man keeps throwing it back on my front lawn.

Did gator enlighten us about the intended recipient of his barb? If so I missed it. All I saw was that he piped up to trot out his "Colombia credentials". So far only Bob has come forward with the congratulatory back slaps he is expecting.

Well Papi can assume it was about him since this was the second post in the thread.  he may be right or wrong on many things but at least he does make posts about many different things.  Personally I appreciate any comments by people.  gives more than one side to a story.  What I hate is when people attack each other for their opinions.  Papi is not the only one doing it either.  Papi does come up with some very interesting topics, and he keeps discussions going.  No I don't want any T-Shirts.
