Thanks Neil.  I will be honest, my girl is definitely way out of my league.  She is the best looking woman I have ever been with.  I do not see what she sees in me, but somehow I hooked her.  My point in that statement was to not have the hope of making the voyage and looking for arm candy.  

When I mention the 1 - 10 scale, it is based on a total package:  looks, personality, honesty, sincerity, lifestyle, (insert your preference here).... Just because a girl is drop dead gorgeous doesn't automatically make her a 10.  She may be as interesting as watching grass grow.  She might be a total snob.  She may even be a bitch.  I don't want any of those traits in a woman.  I want the Latina version of Wonder Woman, one that can do it all and has it all.

I personally feel as if I hit the lottery.  My girl is as close to perfect for me as I can find.  I do not even look at any other women because mine is exactly what I have pictured for as long as I can remember.  

Don't worry Neil, it took lots of searching before I found mine.  I just got lucky and met her on my first trip to Colombia.  Read my Cali trip reports to see how I ended up with mine.

But she has 2 kids. The facts are that a woman with 2 kids often has less options in terms of social life, especially in colombia. You both sound like a good catch.

I noticed after talking to several friends and in-laws in Barranquilla that while the ladies will focus on looks to some extent, it's not as high on the list as in America.  They're not blind, but I think they put it in it's proper perspective in relation to what type of guy you are, your heart, financial stability, ect....  And plus foreigners have the added points of being somewhat exotic to them.  I think anyone's total package score goes up a few points in another country.....and as I said before....I believe you can look a few notches up when looking for potential girlfriends or wives....looks-wise or total package.

If your personality in person is anything like you appear to be here....you shouldn't have any problems at all in finding the love of your life in Colombia.

I got my wife drunk before she changed her mind though.  We can't all be "bundy-ies" or "vally-dudes"  LOL.

I hear ya' Sean, I pulled the same stunt with mine.  We went drinking on our 1st date and ended up finishing a 5th of the local rum.  Well, I eventually talked her into staying the night because she was way to drunk to take a taxi home, so I sealed the deal before she sobered up!  jajajajaja  Lucky me!

Neil, every guy on this forum that has made the trip to a foreign country has a different approach, story, and plenty of tips.  Do what you know and you will be fine.  Can't listen to every thing mentioned on here, alot is BS....I know because I experienced it live and in person.

About the "we are exotic to them" comment, I find this true.  I have never been looked at by so many women in my life while in Cali.  I felt like a rock star!  My novia was always getting mad because women would walk up to me and say hello or would try and get my attention in some way.  I never in my life experienced anything like it.  Maybe thats why I love Cali so much. 

I am making a "guys only" trip to Barranquilla this summer.  Any takes for a PL party?  My friend from Miami is from BQ and knows the ins and outs of everything!  He is meeting me there with a few other gringos he knows.  Any takers?

My first trip to Colombia, i had 2 women say i looked like the Mexican Soap Opera Star, WHAT !!!!!!!!!. Some guy named Adolfo, but hey, i was more then happy to accpet there compliment and make it work for me. In my conversations with latinas, they typicaly do not like Muscle guys at all, so the GOLD'S GYM GUYS ON THE JUICE CAN JUST FORGET IT  !. Most like a taller, slender guy or DELGADO. Now for you guys that are packing a few extra p0unds, no worries, this is only what i have been told in conversations and every chica is different some of the chunkier guys have done just as well as the taller, more slender guys. Blonde hair to them is exotic because most latinos are dark headed, the highlite thing goes a long way. AW women are more into the Muscles , cars, ect, while the latina tends to like the more subtle things, IE, Highlights, ect. , so what is exotic to one is  not to another but we have the advantage as they are tired of the latin guys looks, so when we come along, it is exotic, new, different.

Latin culture is famous for avoiding conflict in personal and business dealings. They will tell a white lie in a heartbeat to avoid an argument or any bad feelings. I am not saying that they are liars per se, just "optimistic" with the truth. Once they consider you friend or family, you will get more truth than you care for at times. They can be VERY blunt when they are truly comfortable with you. I will be friendly with anyone who wants to be friendly with me. Many of the women I met during my citas are still my friends whether we hooked up or not. We keep in touch either through emails or on the phone at times and they tell me the truth (about others...they still try to snow me a little every now and then, but I know what it is and just bust them out for it). The stuff they say might curl some toes and bust a few bubbles. Suffice it to say that their side of things often does not jibe with what we throw out there.

I wouldn't consider it total BS though. I am not saying the women are trying to con guys. They are just being supportive mostly. It works both ways. They get the same thing from their male couterparts. Here, you could get sued for calling your bank teller "Mi amor" and commenting on how great her skirt fits when you reach the counter, there,  it is business as usual.

To think that a woman is not going to be attracted to a great looking guy the same way you are going to go ga ga over some sexy woman is a little naive IMHO. I would not call it shallow. On an animal level, we are all hard wired to do just that. That type of sight arousal comes from every person's animal instinct to breed with the best to have greater success in having healthy offspring. It is natural selection still at work when it doesn't really apply on that level anymore. The honest truth is that yes, these women due to their society and culture along with economic reasons have been conditioned to understand that the young, cut, handsome men are going to have them, and five others. They (the guys)are also going to probably never leave home until they actually get married (sometimes), and probably have nothing but lint in their pockets on any given day. Understanding that is what we actually swoop in and take advantage of. Not saying they are not attracted to us, just calling it out as it realistically is. I find nothing wrong with it as it is very advantageous for all concerned. You are right in that these women know that Raul usually at 20-30 is only out for one thing (you would be too if you lived in that environment with wall to wall hotties) and decide eventually that it may be better to go for a more stable guy. That's where we come in and shine like rock stars, or at least, that is the opinion. Yes, people go for the unique or different, but don't think they truly detest their own guy's looks. They are having way too many babies for that to even begin to be believable. The other upside is that Raul may be all that at 20, but by 30, he will look closer to 40 and by 40...50 or 60. It's great to be an American and have flouride mixed into the tap water among other benefits!

It is what it is, and I, personally,  am not mad at 'em. My ego is big enough for it not to bother me, and I am sure that once someone gets to know me, they will like me for me. I don't mind taking advantage of the situation to get an audition, but I don't kid myself about it not being what it is.

If you really want to have "game", here are the simplest steps...Learn the language, learn the culture, and don't toss off the women you meet in your citas just because you don't hook up. When they mention issues in their lives, they are many times just making conversation. Don't feel the need to reach for your wallet, and this will pass. Just be empathetic and don't offer any cash. If they were hitting you up, they will fade away, and those that don't will become the best allies you could ever find. Having sexy female friends is the best "game" there is. I try to always keep at least one 9 or 10 that is completely platonic (or understands any hooking up is casual, but it is best to avoid that). They will watch out for you, they make excellent arm candy to attract other hotties who will want what they think they got (you), and they usually have a gaggle of just as sexy amigas they will hook you up with thus removing you from any need for the agencies. Nothing wrong with women in the agencies, but once you are able to pour yourself out of the agency fishbowl and into the river, you begin to see there IS NO WAY it could ever be overfished (sorry Papi)!

Well, lets go ahead and nip that stereotype in the bud.  Your "wang" doesn't shrink, it's the balls that shrink.  They shrink because they are not needed to produce testerone in the body.  When you take steroids (test. in general) you get shrinkage.  I have never used them, but working out most of my life, I have become educated on the subject and know many people that do.  The girls you know are very "uneducated" on the subject.
