I am in the Bogota airport about to fly clase ejecutivo to Miami (Gringo FF miles does have its privileges). I am a happy papi… my new squeeze just left me at the airport to say goodbye. She is young, beautiful, smart and I think definitely going to wear the pants in the family (well, nothing is perfect). Plans are to meet in San Andres in April. If things go well, I may have to join President Bundy’s Optimist Club

my new squeeze paid her taxi to meet me at the airport. I had to ask her 3 times before she finally accepted the money. She would not take money for the taxi before but the airport is expensive and i did not want her to pay that. going to San Andres is my idea

Yeah Soltero, you are right about that . Papi is not Frugal except for taxis. My Novia and i are committed long term, so she feels that putting our money together and me not paying for everything is how it should be done when you are a couple. Same here in the US. I like that and my personal opinion is i dislike a woman that expects the man to pay for everything. Just my opinion and like [snip]s, everybody has one. I am extremely happy with my relationship and i hope papi will too one day  and everybody on this forum. Me, i just detest a woman that wants to be taken care of, that's all.

as you know I am not a big fan of Paps, and I doubt I would be taking anybody to San Andres (just not my type of a vacation), but there is nothing wrong with the guy paying for dates.  If you like "going Dutch", I am happy for you, but when a couple of girls I met here insisted on that, I actually got offended.  I fully expect to "maintain" a woman, as long as she is reasonable and frugal, demonstrates her love to me, is devoted to the children.  I am not a millionaire, but I don't live under a bridge either.  Again, I don't question your values, but just want to point out that not everyone shares them.

I am not at all suggesting you start to procreate.  However, when people don't want children, even when they get married and don't want children, to me it is perverse.  I would have much more respect for a gay marriage.

But to each his own.  If I met a woman who was a CFO or a woman who didn't want children, I would RUN.  And very far away.

I respect your opinion, but i like equality in a relationship. I am not interested in a simpleton. I looked for a professional woman with traditional values and that is exactly what i found. it took me dating a lot of woman to find the woman i am going to be with. I detest  maintaining a woman and my Novia detest being maintained, so it works great for the both of us. I got no problem with someone liking to maintain a woman, but for me, it is a deal breaker period !!

I agree Kiltboy. For the first few dates, I don't mind paying for things but if I have to do it all the time, then I don't think the relationship will work out in the long run. If she contributes even a little amount to the bill, it's a big deal for me.

yes, I do.  unless they are really old and it is their second (or third, etc) marriage.  I believe in "normality".  you obviously don't conform to that at all, not just in this instance.  but hey, as I have said I am not insisting that you procreate, and to each - his own.
