Te Amo Peru
« on: March 24, 2007, 09:48:58 AM »
In my opinion, the food and piscos are reason enough to visit peru. Se conquista al hombre por el estomago. Consider working Lima into a Colombia trip. I used FF miles to get to Miami and called Avianca and got a 3 city ticket roundtrip from Miami visiting Cali, Lima and Bogota and back to the USA for $600.

I highly recommend the San Martin hotel (www.sanmartinhotel.com), where I setup HQ in a spacious aparta suite, wireless, breakfast and taxes for $60 and no problem with visitors (virgin members please click here  www.disneyland.com). Hotels in Latin America often charge extra for lady guests but again no problema at the san martin.

Across from the hotel is a wonderful ceviche restaurant only open and packed for lunch called Punto Azul. I enjoyed their gourmet ahi marisco (mixed seafood and garlic sauce) with drink and tip for about $6.00-$7.00.  I also enjoyed the Chef’s café which makes a fine cup of joe and is on the popular Larco avenue near Bolivar. Just sit back, enjoy the java and watch the Peruvian talent walk by.

Speaking of women, I have seen some stunners but this is in an area where Colombia may still have the edge. I don’t think they are all that much different in peru or more sincere. The difference many are of Indian mix and some are in fact strikingly beautiful. Your options for meeting women include tours, local agencies and the internet which has a large presence of Peruvians.

I ended up meeting 4 women in my 5 nights in Lima, 3 from Latin Cupid and 1 from a guy I met my last trip who owns a small bar. The craziest included a chica who showed up at my hotel 2.5 hours late. We sat down to drinks and shortly after ordering same she proceeded to tell me that she didn’t have much time cause she had an agency event (AFA) to attend. After hearing this, I made it easy for her and asked for the check ending that cita prematurely. I am operating a No BS Zone these days...

At press time, I am not certain about the others but the one from my amigo is a 9, absolutely stunning.  Yet, not sure I will return to Lima anytime soon. I guess it depends on what develops in the next week or so with their follow up on my return to the USA.

PS. I mentioned in another thread about buying glasses. I got the exam and 2 pairs for less than $100US. I suppose that has got to be a lot less than the USA. I looked at clothes too and shoes seems to be a good bargain unlike Colombia where sneakers run high especially when your chica runs off with them…lol

Papi

The girl that showed up late then told you she was on her way to a social is a cracker:) what an ass,, You know i have met some just like her here in Lima,, i had a date that called the agency after our first meeting and asked if i would date her again as she really like me blah blah,,,we met next day with her friend also went and sat in a cafe,, she said to me "Uno Momento" and walked a few meters away to use her cell phone,,,2 hours later came back in with another freind now 4 of us,,, and they all ate like donkeys on my tab...and couldnt give any rersonable explanation why she dissapered for 2 hours,,,,

With a new girl now,,she so hot and were together 18 hours a day,, been spending time with her family and realy enjoying ourselves,,, shes by no means a chaep girl to date, likes al the nice places and can knock back the screwdrivers,,but i got 3 days left on this trip so i dont mind spending a few quid with her, and see what happends

Neil, I could write a book on the crap they pull but now I mostly laugh at it. There are some good ones though. Yet, you know the score having been to the FSU. Different country - same BS.

You are right about mine being an ass (the one going to the AFA event on our cita). Besides, she was a lot hotter in her pics. The one that left you for 2 hours sounds like another flake.

I got lucky on one of my new cyber babes in colombia arriving back here last night and think she might have potential. Not sure about any return trips to peru. keep us posted

Now Papi...with all your experience in South America and your "NO BS attidude" that you have adopted....why would you wait around for two and half hours for someone???

While on the search a few years back .........I adopted a half hour max waiting period after my first trip to South America.....unless my date has called to say she is going to be late........I'm done with her and gone.........

Glad to see you enjoyed yourself in Peru  Papi.....I also love the Pisco Sours as well........my wife and I brought back four bottles of Pisco on our last trip down there... :D

I'd really like to spend more time in Colombia, and intend on retiring there ASAP. I'm hoping to spend about 90% of my time there starting late this year. That's really optimistic, I know but i'm shooting for the stars.

Hi papi, I was just wondering about the chica who was late meeting you and went to the event for afa in march, what her first name was and maybe age, because a girl i was engaged with lied to me and went to that event, and i am just trying to see if she is lying about anything else, I'm sorry to ask this question but i just need to find out the truth, thank you very much for your time

I don't think he will help you since he does not post here no more, but I will give you some advise. If she was engaged to you and still attending that type of event she is still looking for something better. Ditch her and start over you are going to have nothing but heartbreak!

You are much better served by avoiding that agency and its members and its tours.

Read the other threads. According to yet another of their former employees, they have degenerated to just posting women and saying how great and sincere each woman is. The employee described their tour department as just a bunch of teenagers with a telephone who have never even been on a tour, met a foreign woman, or apparently can even buy a drink.
