second chances
« on: March 11, 2007, 02:38:41 PM »
gringos are often looking for perfection. Well, maybe we should given our choices going south and what is involved in the process. On the other hand, old school says to roll up a newspaper and give your pooch a light smack on the nose if it craps in your house. Eventually it learns not to deficate on your Persian rug. Who is to say we can't give a girl a second chance if she orders a second helping of food to take home or asks for a camera? People aren't perfect. What say you?

You are going to smack her with a rolled up newspaper for ordering a second portion of food to take home? She paid for the camera right?

Reminds me of the country song that talks about "one more last chance". If I were in that situation I'd say she can have a second chance, with someone else!

you are expressing the kick them to the curb syndrome which is often prevalent on gringo forums. Your homework is to rent the movie the last kiss and report back.

THere are no second chances for things that are out of the norm for a relationship. Food to go. . . . you are joking, of course. Not acceptable in her country and not acceptable in ours. So, where is the need for a second chance? She didnt give her date a first chance. . .

not to ruffle too many feathers, but is the MOB the norm in the first place? I wonder sometimes. I know i could find a local woman to date if i put any effort into it. Still, there are definite pros to going south. No argument there...

pros to going south

1. better fishing
2. women less hung up on age, looks
3. chance at a younger, prettier woman
4. the excitement of a new culture
5. a more traditional woman less concerned about career and more attentive to her man
6. close family
7. the satisfaction of improving someone's lot in life
8. etc
9. etc
10. etc

Women are like horses, once you let them walk all over you and take advantage of you, it's all over. You've got to be the one in charge. I used to have a herd of six mares and believe me, I was the boss.

jajajajaja  Horses!   ;D

Every situation is different.  Some things you can let slide, some things you can't.  Depends on what kind of man you are.  I will give second chances depending on what happened, but always keep one eye open.  There is a huge difference between being nice and being a sucker.  Don't let a woman wear the pants, let her have her way on a few things, but never, ever give her control.  Once you do, say goodbye to happiness!
