Dominican Republic in the summer for me. Any tips?

First and foremost, this isn't a "Wife Search trip". This is simply to experience the latin american culture before proceeding any further. I do plan on chatting with women, touring Santo Domingo and taking pictures of the first colonial settlement in the New World by the Spanish. (I'm a history sucker).

Now if I do happen to meet anyone that peak my interest, so be it. I am not going there to search or to start anything, but simply to survey the culture and to interact.

That being said, I would like some tips from you guys.

So far, I am staying at an All Inclusive and I will be spending 5 days.

I would greatly appreciate some tips that anyone could give a rookie like myself.

Santo Domingo is a good place to visit, its atmosphere.  The people are friendly, and women are friendliest I have ever seen.  There is a much-touted disco inside a cave.  I was not impressed: most of the people there were european tourists.  there are plenty of discos along avenida Venezuela.

a tip, if you are going alone especially.  if you tour any of the historic sites, there are a lot of guides.  not only I suggest that you hire one (you will learn a lot about the sites you see), but you can befriend them and go out with them so you will not be going alone, and they probably know all the best places.  you can buy them a couple of beers.  I stayed in the city itself in the old city.  Be aware that the eastern part of the city is VERY poor.

Man, the Dominican woman have some of the prettiest skin you will ever see on a woman and they have women in that country that can stand toe to toe with any other Latina in the world, Only problem is that the ones i have talked to or been with are just not very educated and the conversations are just not great, lots of one syllable answers, ect. i am not an intellectual by any means, but i got to have more then that, but man, what beauties !!!

In Santo Domingo be sure to visit the Museum Of The Dominican Man. Among other things you can see the shot up car Trujillo was killed in.
