You are right on the money with that comment Papi! I happen to be a minority (and darker skinned than most folks on here) so feel I am qualified to add that my experiences (and another bro who went with me to Medellin ) equate with what Papi is saying.

True there might be a few Paisa's that don't mind darker skinned Americans and I did meet a couple but in general, my experiences in Cali have been much more favorable.

Papi, with all due respect,  "in general", you would have absolutely know way to know that.  You are on the outside of that supposition completely, and can't possibly give a personal account as to who can do well and where in that regard, unless you don't consider yourself Caucasian.

Papi, you opinion on this issue sux. If I listened to people who told me where I could and couldn't go, I would have never gotten on a plane. I am glad that I rarely listen to anything but my own good sense when it comes to what I can and can't do. Recall how the Paisa reacted to it when Chizz said it to her. Another guy telling me what WOMEN want is about as useful as a blind third eye.

I really don't have to go to Medellin to know that you can't lump people together and think they will all have the same results regardless of whatever common factors. No matter how similar people may appear because of one trait or another, we are all different. I may not have been to Medellin, but I have met Paisas. One in particular was planning our wedding by the second date, and to be honest, scared me off. They remind me of New Yorkers, in that they talk faster than other Colombianas I have met and seem to believe that Medellin is the center of the universe.

My point is that when you have the right tools, you can hunt anywhere. I appreciate your pointing out where the fish are biting, but with the right tackle and bait, the fishing is good all over. Being, or not being Black has nothing to do with it. Of course, there are the "skin" groupies, but if you truly think that you can lump a group of people together and predict the level of success for each and everyone of them based on one factor, then you are delusional. I appreciate your continued giving of advice, but this piece of advice is completely and utterly flawed.

Tell me, where are the best places for White guys to go? Since you are Jewish, how about letting us know where the Jewish stomping grounds in Colombia are? I'm curious as to whether or not you have an opinion on those. How about it? I know a few White guys that have hooked up with Paisas, but I would say the odds are probably better in Cali and especially the coast...

Since Papi knows the best places for me to go, I figured I would ask so that I don't step on anyone else's toes. Since I now know there are places I don't need to even try to look into as a Black man, it makes the search so much easier, and I would not want to mess that up for someone else since we all have our own restricted areas per Papi. Why fight it? Since Colombians apparently have so many misconceptions about gringos (just as we do about them), why not simply reinforce them? It'd be a lot more entertaining than trying to explain them away.

Next time you're in SA, actively perpetrate the following gringo "myths" as truths:

Sorry Papi, but I HAVE been to Medellin many times, have had serious relationships with women there, still have contact with a few...Gringos, both black or white, can have GREAT success there, depending on the gringo.  You need to be careful stereotyping based on YOUR relationships...some of us are different than you.  I've read these forums for years, and some of the posts made by some gringos here stating that it was so hard to even get a first date kiss from a paisa...Papi, I think you were even one of those that posted this...All I could do was roll my eyes and remember every first date I had with a paisa...they were no different than a Caleña or Costeña...

women are women where ever you go and you could find a "classic paisa" in your own backyard.

Yes you can hunt anywhere but all the right tools and skills in the world will not help you catch a polar bear in Africa. I have been to Medellin more than once with other Black guys. I have not found women in that city to be as open to dating darker skinned guys than women are who are from Cali. My "skills, tools" are the same in Cali and yet I have had more sucess there. Hmm...

the best place in Colombia for white guys is anywhere.  alot of white boys trying to get freaky with black women/dark women on the coast.  Europeans really seem to dig black women.  I noticed the Italian men really seem to have a fetish for black women.  and Belgian guys really have a fetish for Italian men.
