As for Colombian women, I adore my wife, but women are women wherever you go.

I disagree UC...if you mean they have 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 breasts, and a vagina, yes...but I meet women everyday here in Atlanta, fine women...but there is something special about Colombian women (as a whole)...Women are different depending on their culture, their attitudes toward men, etc.  The thing that makes your wife so special is that she is Colombian, she has a "forma de ser diferente"...please don't deny that.

gotta agree with you there PDude.  Colombian women as a whole are pretty fantastic.  and the two-legged variety are easy to find.   much easier than finding one with 1 leg, 1 breast, and a quarter of a vagina.  I'd advise against that anyway.   Keep up the good work guys.

I think the thing that really stands out with colombian women that seperates them from a majority of american women, is that colombiana's Realize "THEY ARE WOMEN, NOT MEN!"
The fact that they try their best to look and carry themselves as a woman is intoxicating. I think here in america, because women are in such competition with men in many things, they lose some of feminity. I like a woman who cares about her appearance, who wants to look good, especially for her man.
On a side note, I had the pleasure of meeting a latina near where i work at. She was very beautiful, fair skin, long hair, and very nicely dressed. I asked her where she was from, and she said medellin. I was stunned, as I never met anyone from medellin. I asked her if all the women in medellin are as beautiful as she is, and she smiled and said yes. I asked her out to dinner, and invited her to my house for dinner. After dinner(where she was looking stunning), she got the plates and took them in the kitchen. I went to the living room, and expected her to come in as well. After about a minute, I heard running water. I got up and went to the kitchen, and saw she was washing dishes, not just ones we used but the ones in the sink as well. I said" ah...what are you doing?" She said washing the dishes. I said, "why?" She said she likes a clean kitchen. I said, You know you don't have to do that. She said, I know, I just like to clean, no problem. I said ok, and went back to the living room. Then I heard wiping sounds. i went back in and she was cleaning the counter and stove with a sponge. Now, I had dates before who came to my house, but the thought of cleaning, im sure never even came close to entering their mind. I told her, ok, i brought you over to spend some time and talk not to clean my house. She laughed and so did I and she finished up and we went to talk in the living room. I have to say I was very impressed with what she did, This is what im looking for in a woman. Not a slave, but someone who cares knows it's the little things that count. Im stunned that i possibly met the future Mrs. Chizz from medellin, in boston. Funny, how things work go sometimes.

I have dated women from all over Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador and Dominican Republic and i can honestly say that my Ecuatoriana is hands down the most sexy and best personality of any of them i have dated, Nothing wrong with Colombian women at all, but they are not any more special then the women from the other countries i mentioned. There are wonderful Latinas in all the Latin countries. I have to agree with El_Ruso as well, if you have been to some other cities in Colombia, IE, Medellin, Bogota, and you put aside the women in Cali and only look at the city as a whole, it is probably the most impoverished of the major Colombian cities, the most dangerous and the most unemployed. Again taking the women out of the equation and only looking at the city mind you, Add the women , and WTF cares if it is dangerous or not, right? But to have an attitude that it is not a dangerous city and just because you have someone to hang around with you in some of these "questionable barrios" is just plain ignorant and if one continues to have this mindset, we may be reading about your funeral on the forum.Always remember that you are being watched, scoped out no matter how safe you think you are and i personally have witnessed 2 people shot deader then a doornail in Cali, One at chipichapi and the other in juamabhue(strata6) , so if you do not Want to take advice from guys that have Spent a lot of time there, then do not, but you need to be careful that is all any of us are saying and do not get over confident and you will never have a problem there .

What makes my wife special is not that she is Colombian, it is her cheerful and optimistic personality, her common sense approach to life, her kind and gentle nature, her cute and funny mind. My wife and I always relate to one another as individuals and NEVER as gringo and Colombiana. I have met many Colombian women and a lot of them are not much different than your classic gringa. Putting them on a pedestal as a race of "super women" leads to a lot of problems, I think, and guys get taken advantage of by believing in these stereotypes.

If women are women all over, when you signed up for amigos.com (where you met your wife), why did you select Colombia as a country of interest??  why not just select women from Texas??  or just the US...after all "women are women" , right??

To answer your question UC, yes, it is, perfect for me. I would also like to add, that during our conversation, i told her she came from a beautiful country, and i enjoyed my time there. I told her I've been to cali many times, and barranquilla once. She asked why i never been to medellin. I said because women in medellin don't like brothers. She said "ay,no that's not true". I laughed and said I was just kidding, but i've been told that women have more of a prefererence for white guys than black guys in medellin. She said, that she doesnt' think it's true, it just depends on the person. She began to talk about medellin, and I could just see the pride and love she has for her city in her eyes, and i could hear it in her voice. I told her I was heading back to colombia soon, and she was excited, and asked me to bring her a gift from colombia. I said, it doesn't bother you im going to colombia where all them beautiful women are? We both laughed and she said no, and said I should go to medellin, cause that's where the most beautiful women in colombia are. i said if they're anything like you, i won't be coming back. We both laughed and had a great evening. She promised to make some colombian food for me next time. i can't wait.

How many paisas do you know to have an opinion of their racial preferences?  How would you know their racial preferences by your own experience?  Medellin indeed has few blacks.  This does not make women there more racist than say women in Cali.  What makes you an expert on racial relations in Colombia?  The "bad apple" I dated here in FL was from cali, and her father was black actually, and she was frankly rather racist towards blacks, and would not date a black guy.  Chizz was just playing with that particular paisa.  I don't know if Chizz is really going to Colombia, but what he is doing essentially is setting himself up as a challenge for that girl by letting her know she potentially has competition unless she works hard for him.  Which is something an "expert" like you should have realized in the first place.

I lived in a remote rural part of Texas close to Mexico and since there were no single women where I lived, I thought I might hook up with a Mexicana who lived nearby. That was my plan but I saw my wife's picture among the new profiles and I was hooked. For a week I tried to forget her because she was Colombian but I couldn't resist that face. It was her in particular that interested me and if anything, her being Colombian and living in Medellin were big negatives.
