PHOTOS - Of My Cali Diamond...

Here she is, My Cali Diamond.... plus the kids, 12 & 15 and one of Momma Mia from Bogota as well.  The Waterfall was awesome, located at a country club south of Cali; the water was coming down at about 100 mph (felt like it) and, of course, cold as heck.  Who needs Lexus's, BMW's, big homes; we got passion, communication, great food, horseback riding, bullfights, BBQ, more great food, shopping at LA 14 and all-round great culture down in Cali.

yesss...the no tan man at the waterfall... notice the first photo...that was at the end of the vaca...at least I had a even sunburn all over my hairless head at the end of the trip!

you're a smart man going for an older woman. i have a lot of respect for someone your age that can see the beauty in a woman over 30 and not feel the need to chase a 20 something year old. there are so many hot older women in colombia that will make you very happy without the drama that some fools seek out on this forum. hope things work out for all of you.

I have seen some hot older chicas in Asia but not so much so in Latin America. I think the choice should be up to the gringo. Call them fools if you so choose, but some guys do manage well with the young hotties. If I wanted an older girl, I don't need to head south. My cyber-novia is 22...call me crazy but time will tell

If people insist that a long-term monogamous relationship exists under those circumstances, I ask..."Where's the beef?"  Don't see it anywhere I've been, folks.  And I don't see it in California or Florida where there is a high concentration of Colombian babes with Visas.

DT, i edited my guess on her age based soley on her having a 15 year old child. whether she is 35, 34,33 give or take a couple of years isn't the point. the point is that she is a mother of 2, she's not 22 years old and is beautiful. a mature latina will take care of you in many ways for the rest of your life whereas an imature 22 year old will satisfy only one of your needs as long as you have the money. you've made the right choice to be realistic, knowing full well that most men in their late 40's and older can only have a 22 year old as long as they keep the money flowing. how can a man live like that, knowing that a woman is only after their wallet...sad.

1. DT, good luck with your diamond.  I can tell you are a good and thoughtful guy, and I am sure it will work out.  You deserve it.

2. Papi, YOU are the one who started whining about "young hotties with older men" in this thread.  You have not replied ANYTHING to DT in regards to his relationship and photos, like congratulations or encouragement, just keep on whining about a subject not directly related to DT's post.  We all know your views, and you have written here nothing new.  DT is happy and PROUD of being with this woman, and there is no reason he should not be.  Instead of whining, mongering and getting drunk in border towns like some other people who post here, he found a beautiful woman who loves him, and whom he loves back, and chances are high they will be happy together and have a loving family.  I bet he didn't even need to send her a $100 camera to start this relationship.

3. Again, there are Clooney and Demi Moore who look very desirable despite their age.  But they are major exceptions, and I don't think you are on par with them, nor is the vast majority of men or women your age.

4. It is true that a wealthy man can maintain a poor "young hottie", but it will not be a relationship based on love and genuine feelings, rather like hiring a prostitute.  Obviously, not everyone desires such a "relationship".

First of all congratulations on your relationship.  Your lady is very attractive...

Now, regarding your quoted comment above...I have to disagree with your "humble opinion"...Having made probably close to 60 trips to Colombia since 1994, I have just a tad more experience than you.
I have seen my fair share of late 30's to late 40's men with 20 something hotties...And guess what??  The majority of the men were COLOMBIANOS...and yes, I believe that they were legit relationships.  Now, the remainder that I have seen have been gringos...I know of a girl here in Georgia who I've known for about 5 years.  She is Caleña and married a guy who was 51, and she was 19.  And yes 5 years later they are still together and happy.  Of course, everyone who knows me personally, knows that I passed 40 a long time ago, and humbly speaking, I have had my fair share of 20 something "hotties", including my current girlfriend of 16 months.  One of her good friends is 19 years old and is in a serious relationship with a Colombiano who is 42.  Would you have the guts to tell him to his face that he is just a "customer"?? or me for that matter?? 

It's not wise to generalize based on limited experience or exposure.  For example, I was in Cali for 8 days over Thanksgiving and 12 days over Christmas & New Years.  Now, I stay at my finca in the south, and every day I went to the gym, then Holguiens, Unicentro, also many times I drop by Carrefour and Home Center to make purchases.  Also went to Avenida Sexta with my girl and her family to drink and dance.  Guess what?? During all this time I didn't see one gringo, not one (only on the plane from Atlanta to Bogota)...Now, does that mean there were no gringos in Cali at that time??  I very much doubt it...but I didn't see ONE.

As I told Sean, be careful the things you post here, because many newbies will believe you.  If you are in good shape, not bald, nice face, can speak spanish, have a great personality, nice smile, etc...being 40 something and having a 20 something "hottie" is VERY doeable...and you will be a couple and NOT a customer.

Pdaddy, since 94 - makes you a General. My impression having not yet had the pleasure of meeting you is that you are not like the majority of guys heading south. You are probably a 40+ with a very positive attitude and game and could land a chica anywhere. I do see plenty of papaya relationships. I also know some guys with game that came back empty handed from colombia after repeated trips and ended up hooking up with USA babes. Yet, I wholeheartedly agree that 40+ can land a young hottie and not be a customer. I plan to be one of those.

Day trader beautiful family! the thing I admire about you is that you took an interest in a woman and her children, you are getting 3 opportunity's at love for the price of one!, at Amor De Cartagena we have a few women with a baby or two and they sometimes get over looked and discriminated against, all the guys want the young silly immature women with no children, when a woman has children she goes through a emotional and psychological maturation process thats more mete for compatibility of an older man like you and I, if some guys would be more realistic like you and take this in to consideration when they are seeking a wife, we would not have half these Greencard horror stories

For your info, my Cali Diamond is 18 years younger than I am and it was never an issue between us or her familia. 

Not seeing ONE couple, whether local or gringo in 1 month of staying down in Cali right down the street from UniCentro or Chipichape, I am dubious of your claims.  Going to soccer games and bullfights and not seeing a single example of this phenomenon in large stadiums -- I don't doubt you but I still consider your info dubious. --- a question comes to mind (and it's none of my business, but you gave the info)...why 60 trips [I assume business reasons for the most part] over 22 12 years and a guy of your experience is in a relationship for 16 months?   Are you willing to grow old with a gal, or are you into 'recycling' your ladies?  Maybe we have different values, I am into a lifetime commitment vs a guy recycling his babes every few years -- in which case this whole discussion doesn't apply to my thread.

Timing is everything, LOL! You'll definitely have a better chance of seeing gringos in the North side of Cali, I think most people know that (hopefully you do as well). Every time I am Northside during the middle of the day, there's a good chance to see a gringo if near a upper end restuarant in the Chipichape area. 

I refer you to my Cali Diamond trip report, which saw repeated examples of guys attempting to do what you say commonly exists, and they were SHOT DOWN 100% of the time!  They were always stood up on the 2nd or 3rd date by the young hottie.  In the case of another guy, he had been down 5 times before, exclusively dated young hotties, knew spanish well, and got shot down 100% of the time on each of his 5 trips.  Ask Isabel at ACG!  I even stated in said trip report that this was anecdotal. 

So, I stand behind my statement, after spending a month in Cali, there is no anecdotal evidence of an over 40 guy getting a young hottie with no kids in Cali, Colombia.  If the reader wants to spend thousands of dollars proving me wrong, go ahead.  If you talk to Isabel at the agency and other single women in Cali (which I have spoken to dozens the entire time I was down there), there are NO takers for this premise.  But I will concede to you that you know of some!

The point of all this was NOT about Colombians dating Colombians with a substantial age difference, but of Gringos dating Colombians, so I don't follow you at all there.  Again, you rebut something I never stated.   

I prefer Avianca & they've always been on time, 2nd best is American with a Bogota flight crew -- P Daddy, which airline is your favorite?
