Empty handed

I received an email earlier today from a guy I met in my travels (CR/Colombia).  He wrote that he recently got engaged to an awesome girl right here in the USA and went on to say that he never went back to Colombia.

Another friend I met on a TLC tour speaks excellent Spanish, makes good money, not bad looking and is now in a very serious relationship with a calendar model here in the USA and after making numerous trips to Colombia.

A third amigo of mine is now engaged to a gringa after getting a divorce from his ex-Calena.

Those and others got me thinking about the process.  Lots of guys end up returning without having made a solid connection.  To me, it kind of feels like that red-eye back from Vegas.  On those flights, I am usually exhausted from a lack of sleep and losing at the tables…same feeling as coming back from Colombia empty handed.

I guess my point in all this is that not everyone goes south and comes back with an Ace/Face.  And even though a guy may be totally beat from the trip – there is still another day to roll a 7...and maybe even right in one's backyard...viva Mexico!!

Maybe some guys just need to travel to find them selfs, and what they want. Taking a trip to a exotic country, meeting women, and trying new things, opens the mind, and sometimes, people who thought that latinas where there ticket to heaven, find out that its really Miss Next door who is the ticket to heaven.
