1. Medellin vs Bogota re children
Inasmuch as it is true that the higher class girls are more likely to be from intact families and less likely to bear children out of wedlock, you have to remember that Colombia does not allow abortion, or at least did not until recently, and my guess is sexual education there is about 0, especially for girls.  A lot of girls get pregnant really young out of inexperience, and I don't think that is a crime in and of itself.  That's why a lot of those fathers are not around, too.

2. Re virtues of marrying a woman with a kid
I am not seeking to be a martyr and rescue her, or do her a huge favor by marrying her.  If I like a woman, she has what I am looking for, she makes me happy, and I grow to love her, then I will marry her.  Of course if she agrees  ;D  Of course, I will make sure that I like the kid, the kid likes me, and most importantly she is responsible.  After all, this kid will not be MINE, and she will have to do most, if not all, discipline, so I have to be confident about her ability to do that.  And hopefully she will grow to love me too, but not because I "rescued" her or something like that.

3. Having said that, I would really not want to be involved in a relationship where the child's father is "in the picture".  My motivation to be in such a relationship would have to be REALLY strong.

4. As I said before, a girl having a child is a plus under the right conditions: you know if she is responsible, she has experience rearing a child, you will not have to guess how she looks "after".

5. It is true in my experience of talking to Hispanic guys, that they would NEVER accept a girl with child.  Some even expressed a genuine surprise to me suggesting that I would not have a problem with that.  I don't know how representative these hispanic guys are of the general population, but my guess is, they are.  I don't think it is necessarily a hispanic thing, since probably most guys in general would not want to marry a girl with a child.

Jim, with all due respect there are a lot of vets here.  Many have visited Medellin including myself.  Do you expect us to drink the Kool-Aide with this serving of BS?  I’ll make you a wager that less than 20-30% of the ladies in mde agencies have kids.  Doombug will gladly run the stats. Most guys prefer no children so why say this about mde?? I am not here to defend mde but this is getting a little nuts
I think it really counts on the age of the woman you are hanging out with the younger the less chance they will have a child. A woman in her later 20s it is a very good possiblitiy that she will have a child.

You seem to be having a conflict with Jim so why dont you let the rest of us in on it? What really is going on?

I'm sorry Dave. I don't have enough information.

Daytrader, for someone who seemed to be proud to be "born again" in another thread...you sure don't act like it alot of times I've noticed.
I'm opinionated and sometimes outspoken and I can be passionate when I talk sometimes and I can also tell it like it is at times, but your downright mean spirited and on the braggadocios side for being a Christian.  Perhaps a little more humility and understanding and less egocentristic and materalistic thinking might do you some good.  I could be wrong though.

Just a friendly good natured observation.

Subject: chat

I began posting here recently because I feel that the quality of posts here and the quality of posters here is higher than it has ever been.  I have been lurking on several sites for some time and have benefited from some of the posts so now its payback time.  I do have a problem with all of the miss-information I see from time to time and I will challenge this bad information.  My buddy Papi in one day provoked me twice by relaying bad information to readers.  He told Day Trader that it is very expensive to join Latin Lifemates and that he was in dreamland if he thought he would succeed.  Advice like this is not in anyones best interest.  I guess listening to someone with such a bad track record would be like going to a golf pro who had a handicap of 20 and asking him to help you succeed at golf.    I am embarrassed to say this but our tour price is one of the lowest I have seen and I am not particularly proud of that fact as low prices generally attract a lower class of guys and they run off the good ladies.  I do this to give good guys an opportunity to test the water first at a budget price. The price of $595 includes 3 nights paid hotel room.  Go to www.latinlifemates.com and on top left click on "join now " and next "mini-tour and see for yourself.  .Almost  all of the guys who attend the mini-tours upgrade their membership after the great experience they had.  Now Papi what is expensive about $595

On another post I stated that since moving to Medellin I was disappointed to see that so many of the single ladies here had children. Now this is not just a wild guess as I have visited every agency here and looked through their books and I have done that in the past month..  Now Papi states that he would be willing to wager that only 20 to 30 % of the ladies at agencies here had children.  I just logged on to www.colombiansweethearts.com   and did a tally.  They have a big database and its easy to access.  My tally indicated that the percentage of ladies with children was 50% which is the norm in Medellin.  Now Papi can you explain your misinformation ???

Amazing!!!! This thread was started by a shill concerning a bogus mirror site for a morally and ethically challenged agency in hopes that one of you guys might spend some money.

Since then, this thread has grown to challenges and counter challenges. I also have to tell you that my opinion-for whatever that is worth- of some of the more experienced members, has changed drastically.

What the heck is going on with you guys?!?!??!

Yo, Sean....

“Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you"

Do you know  my heart, Sean?  Do you know my mind, my thoughts, my actions?  The Father does, I'll leave the judging up to him.  He also knows my works, and the fruits of my Spirit.  I will return to being busy in My Father's fields of harvest, for there is much work to do!

(Sean, I'll obviously put your comment to me under the Hebrew writer's  "encourage one another daily" category!)

As stated in the BQ thread, this FORUM IS A JOKE - that's my opinion, which I am entitled to.  The proof is in the lack of new posters staying involved - that is a fact, irrefutable.  The way the planet-love-echo-chamber crowd treated Rolito -- well, I'm not bothering keeping this bookmark, and I doubt many visitors will either.

Yeah, get a load of those RECENT posts on TLC in the trip report section, 18 months+ old...yeah, real useful, huh??? LOTS OF NEW BLOOD in this forum, yeah baby!

BogotaJim, keep trying; I don't have first hand experience with your agency (and at this point I hopefully will never need to), you will have many future opportunities to have a hearty laugh reading new planet-love-echo-chamber remarks.

And yes, whathisface going to 4 TLC tours (which ARE expensive) saying that I couldn't afford your tour price, well, we all can tell that math, and maybe balancing his checkbook are a bridge too far for whathisface.

NOTE: FatherTime has a lifetime exemption from being affiliated with the typical planet-love-echo-chamber crowd.

You now can continue unencumbered to running down and running off positive, hopeful new blood in this forum.

My opinion is that "Rolito" was more interested in personal information about Papi than anything else.  People share what they want to share and should not be pressed to give details if they choose not to.  Weather Papi had long term success on any of the TLC tours is not all that relevant for "Rolito" or anyone else.  On tours some are successful and some are not, it has more to do with the person at the time, than the tour itself (Unless it is a Scam Tour).  It seems to me "Rolito" was given a lot of information by numerous posters and was also directed to the Trip Report section where a lot of that "Detailed" information was given.  I have seen a few "Beginner" posters come here only to get personal info. and than later throw that information in the face of the person who so graciously gave it.  There is a balance and this appeared poster appeared to be "Off" somehow to me.  Sometimes I am wrong on these matters, nonetheless that is the reason for the feedback I gave for this particular poster.

It is good to have a character like you here Daytrader, even if you are a little hyper-active!  I hope to hear more of your Cali Diamond story as it continues to develop and if you choose to keep us informed.

Jim, my mistake…all the agencies in Bogota are 5 stars serving up first class accommodations, wonderful service at very affordable pricing and a database of impeccable, gorgeous, hot virgins while Medellin on the other hand offers nothing but ho’s with bastard children and deadbeat fathers.  Sorry for the misinformation.  I defer to the experts.

Papi I did not ask for an apology I just wanted to know how you could transmit such bad information to so many people who look to you as a leader and informed veteran ??

I began posting here to this thread that according to William "was started by a shill concerning a bogus mirror site for a morally and ethically challenged agency ".  >  Since moving to Medellin 5 months ago I have been disappointed with the agencies here and mostly by the best known, big marketing agency with multiple agencies both in Colombia and Russia.  I believe Wm and I are talking about the same agency but I don't know if I am allowed on this forum to disclose their name.  I would like to expose them as a fraud and help keep the uninformed newbies from giving them any business.  Their customer satisfaction rate is as low as it can get and this hurts all the honest, well run agencies in Colombia.  A while back I hosted a party at my apartment here and I invited a small agency owner to attend if he would bring some of his female clients.  He speaks no English but seems to be honest.  He brought about 6 ladies and they were all first class.  Since then 7 of my American friends who attended have joined his agency and everyone seems to be happy so where there is a will there is a way.

Jim, sorry to hear you are disappointed with the agencies in Medellin.  It is a very good thing that all gringos are very satisfied with the GOOD agencies in Bogota stocked with hundreds of beautiful virgins.

For what it is worth I give Medellin agencies a B+.  I don’t wish to issue my report card on Bogota because like Sean, I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.  But the funniest thing I saw in Bogota was that a client was actually bringing his own roll of Toilet paper to the office because the agency was too cheap to stock soap, towels and TP....LOL!

Jim,

While it is not always easy, my experience is that when one agency owner openly attacks another, it invariably devolves into a pissing match and BOTH look like idiots. Far better, IMO, to focus on doing things well to support your customers - and let THAT be the differentiator.

Dan, interesting comments. I received a PM a few hours ago regarding another matter whereas the writer wrote me: "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL  I'm sorry, but I had to share it with someone who appreciates a good idiot." I got a kick out his comments (this by the way has nothing to do with Jim)

For what it's worth, many Medellin women have a low opinion of marriage agencies so I think that skews the sample. My wife didn't mind putting her profile on amigos.com but she would never have set foot in an agency. I'm not saying I agree with this opinion - it just is.

Furthermore, the discussion was mostly about Medellin – how according to Jim (an agency owner from Bogota I might add) claims all the agencies in Medellin suck and are filled with knocked-up women with deadbeat ex-novios while in Bogota – all the ladies are professionals active in their busy careers.  Do you prefer strawberry or raspberry Kool-Aide?
