Margarita Island

Just wondering if anyone here is familar with Margarita Island in Venezuela. I plan on taking my girlfreind there as it is convenient for the both of us to reach.
Any ideas as far as upscale hotels and activities on the island. Will a US cell phone work there if it is a triband? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have not been there but I have been interested in the island ever sice FOX had "Temptation Island" reality show there.

Hi

Been there 2 times in the past year(taking a break from colombia) and there are many options for hotels and the ALL INCLUSIVE is the most popular there. you can PM me and i will send you some links of some travel agencys i used to book my hotel. The island is HOTTTT,not as in chicas, they have plenty of those , but hot as in the temp. The beaches are not your normal white sand beaches with ultra clear water, but much nice then cartagena . Many good places to eat if you opt for the non inclusive option. This is a big island and can take all day to see the island, think 10 san sandres"s and you have the approx size. But i enjoyed my 2 times there and is very cheap because it is a duty and a tax free island.Hopre this helps you and again Pm me for more imfo
