What is the best city in Colombia to meet, date and marry Colombian women?

Its still Cali,hands down,by a mile.
There are just more good looking women here that want to meet gringos and other foriegners,period.
Cali gets alot of knocks about user women.Yes we have more of them too.
BUT,we have more available good women also.Guys shopping way over their head in age and attractiveness have to be carefull.There are women here who will play the game that they are serious with you while they are picking your pocket.
So if you are serious about a serious relationship get real about what kind of woman will be serous about you.There are lots of them in Cali.
Bogota has always been good but not the numbers of attractive motivated women as Cali,despite a much larger population.Barranquilla gets good press,I'm not too surprised it came in second,I thought that would have been Bogota.
Cartagena is pretty much a zero for meeting women.Medellin gets more good press about people who like it and THINK,lets say HOPE they can find someone there,but the success rates there are about as low as guys who think they will just meet women in malls.Lots of talk,almost NO results.
Small cities might be an untapped gold mine.IF you speak good spanish and are adventurous.
If you can't find her in Cali my friend you might want to re evaluate your expectations.Its not likely to be easier anywhere else.
Puerto Rico?Isn't that a suburb of New York?About the same pickings I think.If you are going to hop a plane anyway,spend 2 more hours in it to get where the shopping is worlds better.

kind of a useless poll i think.  I voted for Baq, because i've been 8 times, and found a great girl there. Difficult to know about which is best unless you have been to all of these cities.

Having been to Cali, I would have to vote for BQ as well.  Less populated by Americans & as many know Cali has alot of players.

I voted barranquilla as well if i had to choose a city. My ex is from cali, for me, just too many players. Not that you cannot find a good one there as my good friend Pete did. My problem with cali has more to do with the culture and mentality of the women ( i am a princess, you should take care of me and put me on a pedistle), then there actual lack of morals. Bq i found to have more woman that worked jobs and were really not as interested in being taken care of. I DETEST a woman that wants to be "TAKEN CARE OF "  NO GRACIAS.


Venezuela was not in the poll and my Novia is there and i while they have no agencies, they have woman so far more ahead of colombian women in maturity, it is not even close. But again, no agency's, so you got to know spanish very well.

I voted for Bogota since I met and dated a woman for a year there...but, don't know yet about other cities. Cali and Medellin sure look interesting to me.

That remark about Cartagena is pure Baloney! I met my xwife there as many others I know have and the vast majority are still married. And there are a TON of Beautuful Women in Cart (and not just Dark Ones for the smatasses that might want to say it) & the City & Sites are Great!

I like Cali for the Women but to many players, I would say Most, unless you live there (and plenty of dark ones in Cali also) and the city itself wasn't very attractive or appealing to me. And like Cartagena I found it very hard to meet many "educated" Women in Cali.

What I did learn was that a list of proper criteria in advance (stay @ home, working wife, profesional, etc.?) and taking alot of time to "know the person & their Goals for the future" was more important than the city.

Guys, when you date what you think is a nice Girl in Colombia, make sure after "the date" that you insist on taking her home in the taxi. I dated my share of women that were beautiful, that lived in shacks with no glass in the windows, no electriciy & no water....and this was in Cali!!!

So what you see might not be what you get!!! Finding the "right one" is a process, not a given. The City is not the Secrect Formula, Picking the Right One Is!

Stating a city you like to meet girls in is an “opinion", nothing more. You could argue this question till your blue in the face. Their are good girls and bad girls in every city, some guys just had better luck in different cities. I liked Barranquilla for the city and the attractiveness of the girls, Medellin too. Cali just has too many "players" girls and gringos for my taste.

I've known pete and all about his story with women for TOO LONG....I go back to before the LatinLove Days...so yes I'm dating myself & I'm that old .

He heard I'm back & knows my wife is from Cartagena (we've been down this road before) & was playing the baiting game. But I don't want That type of junk interfering with real threads that's why I invited him to bait me in the flame room like a man!

Could you please clarify the point you are making in the above post?

At first glance it appears you are implying that if a girl is very poor, then she is not a "nice girl" or can't be the "right one"...?

Don't mean to imply that at all, I married a Very Poor Girl & she has a heart of Gold.

But that certianly doesn't mean that every girl that is very poor has a heart of Gold.  And if you keep the entire post in Context, it says that the Man should Have "his list" of wants, needs and priortities, as well as future plans developed"  & match those to the compatibility of the women he is dating or desires. Because they may not be the same.

I dated some 9's & 10's that lived in shacks (by our standads) and they had "one goal" , get the hell out of there. And they really didn't care how. So one thing a guy should keep in mind is "watch out what you wish for"!!

And the other point I wanted to make was there are parts of Cali I wouldn't go back to without armed guards, even the ride from the Airport to LatinLove was the scariest ride I ever taken unarmed! And I saw nieghborhoods that were even scarier!  Yet on my trips to Cartagena "I walked" thru Nieghborhoods very simular with my then Novia and although a little apprehensive , I never felt like I needed to be "packin" to make it out alive. And if you're not aware, Cali is the Kidnap Capital of Colombia.


I'll be more than happy over time to post my reflections & feelings about Colombia.....but this is not the thread & I'm not going to let pete get away with baiting me #1 or calling Cartagena a Zero #2.

I would like to see the source for the statement "Cali is the Kidnap Capital of Colombia". It is true that, according to the Ministry of Defence and it's Fondelibertad the department of Valle which includes the city of Cali has been highest in kidnappings with 23 thus far in 2006 but the statistics for the complete year of 2005 show Antioquia was highest with 50 while Valle had 36. Don't forget that hotspots like the cities of Buenaventura and Cartago are in Valle Department. I can't find any statistic that shows Cali per se as having more kidnappings than any other location in Colombia. By the way the statistics show two foreigners kidnapped in 2005 and one so far in 2006.
